Fairy Tail 221 shows us a terrible episode with Natsu, Happy and Lucy facing a job where they try to get some magical ice, for which after obtaining it, they themselves use it and it’s all back to square zero. Personally, I didn’t like this episode, and I believe the next few episodes, until we get to the canon episodes will be terrible.
Naruto Shippuden 400 focus’ mainly on Rock Lee and Shira as they’re Taijustu abilities are highlighted here as we see them getting their second scrolls to go to the next round. Rock Lee goes through a few emotions as he quickly learns about Shira’s past when he trained really hard, as well as met with Gaara to abolish the rule where Taijutsu users not becoming a shinobi.
Fairy Tail 220 follows Juvia as it’s her and Gray’s 413 days anniversary for which she had met him, it’s also a day in which Gray’s teacher Ur had died. Juvia works hard to find something Gray will like to which she goes ahead and knits a scarf which Gray initially doesn’t escape, but then realises that he needs it and goes to find it.
Naruto Shippuden 399 follows Shira’s travels as he takes on Gaara’s mission to become a fine ninja as well as helping other shinobi’s from the village to pass while seeing Neji, Lee and Tenten go through a few problems as they’re trapped then go ahead and help Team Shira who are about to be disqualified.
Fairy Tail 219 is an interesting episode as we follow Asuka who goes on an adventure with Natsu, Happy and Lucy to get some money to buy a memorable snowglobe lacrima for her parents. While at the same time, Erza goes on a journey with Lily to find the sweetest strawberry to bake a cake for Asuka.
Naruto Shippuden 398 shows the day before the second round of the Chunin exams begins, we see someone try to kill Gaara while the individual teams try to get some food in them before going to sleep. It seems like another casual Naruto episode, not a lot happened and just builds up for the next episode and Demon Desert.
Fairy Tail 218 see’s the destruction of the Celestial Spirit Beast as Natsu eats some pink substance giving him the ability to get fired up and destroy the 13 chains surrounding the Celestial Spirit King. He thanks everyone, especially Lucy and the others as the Celestial Spirits return back to normal giving Lucy their keys once more.
Naruto Shippuden 397 ends the first test of the Chunin Exam as most of them pass without doing a lot, they begin round two as a elimination round with the first 30 individuals to get there first will get the spot. We also discuss some bits and bobs where Danzo thinks that Hanzo of the Rain is no longer with them, being controlled by a third party.
Fairy Tail 217 follows as Lucy and the others enter the Spirit Celestial World in order to prevent what the Celestial Spirit King is doing. However, they find something else altogether, this time in the form as a Celestial Spirit Beast with no true form. It engulfed the all the Spirits that it has become so powerful.
Naruto Shippuden 396 engages in the first test of the Chunin Exams starting as Shikamaru takes over to test all the students by putting them in three different rooms, unable to contact their team mates. They have to get a total of 100 marks between each team mate. While each questions worth 30, 40 and 50 points.
