Five Reasons Why you Should be Watching Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-

Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- (or Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu) began airing Spring 2016 where it seemed like another mediocre show, but while watching into it, it turned out that Re:Zero is actually one hell of a show, probably a favourite of the year. Within this post, I’ll be listing five reasons why you should be watching Re:Zero!

The hero doesn’t always win

Natsuki SubaruThe majority of anime shows goes on to describe a hero that usually never loses, they somehow manage to overcome stupid odds against them that allows them to win against some really strong people. We follow Subaru Natsuki who seems like the protagonist and the hero of the story.

The story revolves around going back to the past once Subaru is gravely injured. At each point, he returns to a point which can be referred to as a save point. Subaru himself faces a grand number of challenges, none of which are in his favour. Every Time something always goes wrong, which pushes Subaru to the absolute max disallowing him to go anything his way. Basically, he is unable to do anything he likes, thus everything just goes wrong.

Every storyline is different

The fact that every time Subaru goes back to the point in order to reset, his personality changes, even if it’s a little. He knows what will happen in the future, and thus it takes him into a different storyline which he is unable to predict or change. Every time Subaru tries to force something, the world pushes back even harder as though something doesn’t want to let him do his thing.

It’s also known that Subaru seems to be cursed by something strong and powerful, and with every reset, Subaru is not even able to mention that there is something resetting him every time. Which is why I think the story can get a little frustrating since I want him to win at least once.

Story is well written

There isn’t a lot I can say without spoiling it further except that the story itself is very well written. Every word and sentence, along with actions is well thought out and justified. The fact that every action bounces through the anime’s reality and is reflected during that moment as well as later. I don’t really want to expand this section largely because of the spoilers.

Not what you’d expect

I may have mentioned a few times already, but this anime is not what you’d expect. Everything that’ll happen may seem normal at first, but as Subaru builds more and more relationships during his time, and as it all resets back, that relationship is forgotten. It’s probably one of those things that is shown time and time ago every time Subaru goes back.

Furthermore, the fact that Subaru can sometimes be seen as an evil character by most characters in the anime, thus it’s based on your judgement on who exactly is the bad guy. Nevertheless, you will have to judge exactly what’ll happen by yourself.

You will be surprised

As the title mentions, this series is here to surprise and shock you. And you will have to be ready for that. With how the anime begins to how the current show is going, it seems like the anime will definitely get better. The past week, the anime dropped a bombshell, and it’s freaking out a bunch of anime fans. For what it’s worth, I know the show will definitely get better.

With how the series is going, I’m definitely hooked. The show is definitely a favourite from the Spring 2016 shows that got released. If anyone here has been watching the show, be sure to comment below telling us how you feel about the show’s progression.

I thought this might be a run of the mill guy gets sent to a fantasy land, is insanely op and has every single female character love for no reason. The Crunchyroll description really didn’t do a great job selling this either.

Boy was I wrong! I love that at points you hate Subaru for his stupidity. The cliffhangers are superbly done, the characters and plot are amazing…can’t find anything negative to say about this series. Unless the ending completely sucks, this is my favorite of the year and one of my all time favorites!
