We’ve known of The Nine Tailed Beast ever since the start of the Naruto series, he was trapped within Naruto by the hands of Minato and Kushina. Later on, he and his host, Naruto, became friends when he reveals his name to be Kurama. This image is specifically titled blue and red because of the specific eye colour both posses, even if they are different, they can still work together.
