Grimmjow Kills Askin! Urahara’s Bankai – Bleach 665

Bleach 665 see’s the power of Urahara’s “Kannonbiraki Benehime Aratame” where he is able to restructure anything that his Bankai has touched, this includes the eye that was blown off, we see a number of stitches on his face and body. After Askin figures out that he needs to step back, he activates his Gift Ball, but before he can do anything Grimmjow appears and tears his heart out, he squashes and destroys it.

Bleach 665 begins as Urahara calls forth for his Bankai, Kannonbiraki Benehime Aratame, at this point we see Askin shocked as he asks what he’s looking at. He mentions that he doesn’t have any information on his Bankai, Urahara mentions that he has never used it in front of any one before. Askin asks what power his Bankai posses but Urahara just tells him that it’s a person question and only tells on a second date.

Urahara mentions that even if he doesn’t tell him, he’ll be close and personal with it soon. Out of nowhere, we see Askin’s hand ripped apart out of nowhere as he see’s it open up, he backs off as his arm begins to close up. Urahara mentions that he was clever enough in figuring out that his Bankai is range based, further tot his his Bankai begins to work on his face.

He mentions that Kannonbiraki Benihime Aratame’s ability is the power to restructure anything it has touched. We see Urahara’s face back to normal as he regains his eye, however he now has stitches all over his face and body. Urahara attacks Askin with no delay, they clash when Urahara’s hand is restructured when he smashes and attack Askin back.

At this point we see Askin questioning himself as he mentions that he didn’t want to do this, he mentions that this battle is just turning into a battle of the brute forces. He even gave him the lead with the fight as he wanted to see what he’d come up with. Nevertheless, he mentions that he is still far from perfect.

Askin mentions that his Gift Ball Deluxe is inescapable poison fortress, Askin mentions that the only reason why he’s still alive is that he has set the amount of poison just at the right amount. On top of which, we see Urahara joke about this as he tries to act as though the poison is acting on him.

Urahara mentions that he has missed one thing, out of nowhere we see Askin’s chest being pierced through as his heart is pulled out. Urahara mentions that he knows he cannot escape, but it doesn’t mean someone cannot enter into it. Thus he created a pathway due to some advice, we see the great Grimmjow appear as he’s recently pierced through Askin and thus bursts his heart! An epic end to Bleach 665.

WOW, I can’t believe what has just happened, it’s so awesome to see Urahara open his the secrets to his Bankai, as well as to see Grimmjow in his Etapa form appear, as he squeezes his heart and all the blood within it. Oh man, this is such an awesome chapter. One question still appears here, is Askin really dead? Can’t wait to find out in next week’s Bleach 666, should be amazing.

I liked this chapter. Kisuke’s Bankai is amazing. And making Grimmjow attack Askin is very in his nature. This looks similar to Shutara’s sewing and Mayuri reconstructing his nerves when Pernida used The Compulsory on him. I believe Shutara probably mentored these two and that’s why they all have similar looking abilities. No, I don’t believe Askin is dead. His ability allows him to cause and escape death. Lethal Dose of any substance and immunity from any substance. If Askin can destroy an organ ( Gift Ring ) than I think it is possible that he can restore his heart.

A lethal dose such as his heart being squished like that is going to be really beneficial for him is he still lives after this. Although I somewhat think that Askin might be dead here, he has been covered by Kubo for a few chapters now and it seems this could potentially be his death. Plus it’s nice to see the Etapa version of Grimmjow, I honestly think that the Hollow arc was my favourite, a nice job was done with it by Kubo. Btw, when it comes to this fight, do you think if Askin survives, the only other way for him to die after this (since his heart has gained immunity) would be to somehow cut his head off or something.

Honestly, I don’t believe this will be Askin’s downfall. I’m more likely to believe s left arm that has been disconstructed will be his downfall. Askin is also the smartest Schutzstaffel. I find it hard to believe he wouldn’t have something up his sleeve to save himself. I also heard a theory that Askin might not even need a heart. He isn’t normal at all. Last time a Quincy’s heart was attacked, they survived. Quilge Opie survey his chest being shot through by Kiuske by using that Reishi Brain cell technique. Giselle was stabbed trough the heart and survivid by consuming zombie Bambietta’s blood. Askin’s ability is all about death. The theory is that maybe Askin can eat his own heart and become immune to blood. With that, he won’t need a heart if he’s immune to it and doesn’t actually need it. Also, I find it hard to believe Kubo will only show us one chapter about Kisuke’s Bankai.

If this theory is right, it’s going to be good to see more fighting, but if it’s not, then I’m still happy with how it turned out. Nevertheless, potentially one of the better fights yet.

I really like Kisuke’s bankai ability, its less complicated & suits him perfectly, the only thing i dont quite grasp yet is how does it relate to his shikai?
& i don’t think Askin is taken out yet, & even more so, by Grimmjow of all people. If we have learned anything from the Schutzstaffel is that their not easy to kill, so far the only Schutzstaffel who perhaps we might consider the fact that she is taken out is Pernida.Lille despite his incredible showdown with the CC, he is still alive. damn! we even thought at one point he was dead when his head was torn of by Shunsui’s reality warping but he still came out of it. It will be insane if this is all that it takes to kill Askin, its like what “Nick” implied, if anything “Askin” ability is escaping death, & besides, he has also shown to have regeneration abilities do taken out his heart he might as well grow another one.
All & all, this chapter was somewat decent, & looking forward to how this battle further unfolds since i dont think we have seen quite the end of it yet..

Even Pernida being dead seems unlikely. Considering she and Gerard are now relevant to the plot. Lille survived because he is a celestial being. He wasn’t lying when he said he was imortal to an extent. While Askin isn’t a celestial being, he is by no means a normal Quincy. If this happened to any other Sternritter (except Giselle because I think she could survive this) they would definitely be dead. But not Askin. I would be more inclined to believe that Askin is dead if Grimmjow ripped off his head. If Askin is dead, than I want a full chapter of his flashback. If he is alive, I’m expecting him to greatly injure Kiuske and defeat Grimmjow. Sui-Feng has been gone for quite some time. I still believe she’ll bring Yoruichi’s Zanpakuto if Askin survives.

Askin please be dead, no Vollstanding 2.0 BS form. Just Die. One elite left and then it’ll finally get epic interesting again. Not to say others were boring, some Sternritter fights were pretty good.

Even thought grimmjow is the one that do finishing blow to askinn, he can do nothing without kisuke bankai..now we just wait for the last szustafel gerrard to showing how the miracle can deal with huge amount of shinigami as his opponet..half of them is captain and two never showing bankai..so i doubt this great time to kubo sensei to showing both love and shinji bankai..

Definitely a hype chapter! I agree with Nick that Askin’s not quite done yet and I’m glad about that. He’s very quickly become my second favorite Quincy villain behind Bazz. I’m actually expecting Urahara to be “defeated” for a while so Grimmjow has to use a second resurrection against Bazz. I believe that will likely defeat Askin although Urahara’s Bankai probably has some more abilities to it, which may technically land the last blow in. After that very unsatisfying first round with Grimmjow, I’m glad to have a rematch in!

I personally think kisuke’s banaki was just too random. I mean his shikai looks like the color of blood just like the name benihime which means crimson/red princess but kisuke’s bankai has the ability to reconstruct anything it has touched? That to me doesn’t go together with his shikai unless there is some ability about his shikai that I didn’t know about. I remember when he said something along the lines of canceling yami’s cero but maybe he didn’t fully explain how it worked. Anyways I’m hoping Kubo ties kisuke’s shikai ability to his bankai because to be honest it sounds like some BS, thought-on-the-spot, ability. Other than the confusing way of how kisuke’s bankai relates to his shikai, I actually liked his bankai’s ability and how it brought grimmjow back into the story(I just knew grimmjow was going to show up before 666). Also, once I read the name of the chapter, I instantly thought of Orihime for some reason…

To those who are confined about Kisuke’s Bankai. I can try to explain. So far, his Bankai doesn’t have the Buddhist theme yet even though part of the Bankai name is that of a Buddhist Goddess. Their actually is a connection Beniheme and Kannon Bairaki Beniheme Aratame. The Zanpakuto theme is modification. His Shikai can do this as well. Unlike Bankai, which can apparently modify anything, the Shikai can only modify Kisuke’s Reiatsu. Which is why Beniheme has a number of unique techniques. Which consist of a razer cutter, charging blast, shield, bindings, bombs, and the best one which is Reishi paralyzes he used against Yammy. This is also another reason why I don’t believe this battle is over. We still don’t know much about Kisuke’s Bankai. For one thing, we don’t know why the Bankai isn’t safe to train. It has a range. Askin’s left arm was ripped open, but Askin left the range and his arm went back to normal. Also, how the hell did Kisuke make a stich trail for Grimmjow to follow? Here is my what I think might happen in chapter 666. It will explain that Kisuke ran into Grimmjow before he ran into Yoruichi, saved him from the Gift Ball. Which would explain how he created an immunity drug when he ran into Yoruichi. I’m assuming he told Grimmjow to enter in his Resurreccion and wait to see the stich trail from his Bankai. Maybe it will talk about Kisuke training Grimmjow. Whether to get stronger or to gain Segundo Etapa. I personally don’t care if he has one or not. Than at the end of the chapter, Askin gets up and uses a new Gift technique that heals himself and uses a more dangerous Gift technique against them. Or he jis heals himself and says he doesn’t even need a heart and will fight seriously. Let me explain why I think Askin was just toying with Kisuke. Back in chapter 664, Askin said the only sure way he can kill him is to use Gift Ring to destroy his organs one by one. But in this chapter, Askin said the only reason Kiuske is still breathing is because he is still calculating his lethal dose within the Gift Ball Deluxe. So basically, Askin lied about how limited he was in killing Kiuske. And now that Grimmjow is I’m the fight, Askin is going to get serious.

Hard to agree since his heart already destroyed now, but ranso tengai might be solution since it can be actived as long as the user still has mind control..

We have seen Lille’s head get reaped off but he still came back & nobody really expected Lille to come out of it since he was after-all facing the CC with the most hyped bankai, nobody expected Lille to overcome Shunsui’s bankai since nobody expected Shunsui could loose with his bankai to begin with but he did & Lille wasn’t even that interesting in comparison to “Askin”. Which is why i think he hasnt been taken out yet! I think its wel established that the “Elite quincies” are haxxed at this point given what we have already seen from other battles involving the Schutzstaffel, so i think its safe to assume “Askin” will bounce back..

& i agree with “trinin”, Kisuke’s bankai doesnt relate to his shikai & even thou Nick tried to explain the relation but its pretty far-fetched if u ask me..The fact that Kisuke’s bankai was not fit for training Ichigo then its justified i think since its abilities unlike its shikai werent conventional probably wasnt best for Ichigo training, thats why he asked Renji to train with him instead since his bankai was direct & suited well to Ichigo brawling style, & besides, Kisuke didnt want Ichigo to wet his pants.

Askin continues to be one the most interesting elite sternritter. It seems like he is being sarcastic when he tell kisuke that he won’t fall for his tricks and he never thought kisuke would just straight up duke it out with him. His personality makes laugh because he is so funny. Also what I don’t understand is how ouetsu easily defeated the strongest elite sternritter lille but he had trouble with askin. I guess askin was more difficult to face than lille. Lille never went into his final form so I have consider that as well but askin went into his final form either. This bring me to my next question: kisuke vs shunsui?

my guess is shunsui because I can see shunsui defeating askin with his bankai but I don’t see how kisuke can beat lille.

I think Lille beats Askin is because he is actually stronger than him. Lille is perspective, but Askin is the smartest Schutzstaffel.

i think Lille is the strongest Schutzstaffel, its shame thou, he now gets to fight Kira..
Given how strong the Schutzstaffel are, I find it really hard now to comprehend how Oetsu could have took these guys out, i think its safe to assume that maybe the Schutzstaffel became even more powerful after the auswählen was used to bring them back since its clear given what we have seen that ther was no way oetsu could have taken them out as easily as he did, its either that or it just bad writing on Kubo’s part..i am a Bleach fan but sometimes Kubo can be “KUBO”

I can explain that for you. The reason why Oetsu killed the Schutzstaffel so easily is because they didn’t go all out fighting him. Oetsu also use Sayafushi to kill them. This Zanpakuto is not only immensely sharp, but it can also kill you depending on the cut. Lille and Gerard didn’t even use their Schrift. Lille’s left eye for Intangiblity would have made his body pass right through Sayafushi without injury. Gerard could have used The Miracle to convert the damage down by Sayafushi and became an immense giant. Pernida was only using The Compulsory. She wasn’t using her left arm power to evolve. If she did, that stab to the head wouldn’t have killed her. Askin was really the only Schutzstaffel that went all out. Also, Auswählen did power up the Schutzstaffel, but only for a little while. Long enough to defeat Shutara, Oetsu, Kirio, and Tenjiro. The Schutzstaffel right now do not have any power ups. They are their regular power level. The proof was that when they defeated the Divine Generals, they all had angelic feathery Reishi Wings as a sign of their over following power Auswählen gave them. The minute those wings dissappeared, they went to their regular power level. The only bad writing Kubo has down with the Schutzstaffel is giving their opponents Ex-Machina abilities to counter their abilities. Mayuri’s blood freezing agent drug. Nemu’s cells giving Pernida regenerative cancer. Nanao’s Zanpakuto being the perfect tool to being down Lille, a celestial being, by stripping him of his powers. And Yoruichi’s Shunko: Raijin Senkei: Shunryu Kokubyo Senkei made her Reiatsu change depending on her mood being a perfect counter for Askin’s immunity building from The Deathdealing.
