Bleach 504 means business as Yamamoto is finally enraged at the fact that Driscoll Berci used Chojiro’s Bankai. We see Yamamoto take hit after hit from Chojiro’s Bankai which does no affect on him, we also visit the past of both Chojiro and Yamamoto when he received the second scar on his head.
Bleach 504 starts with Yamamoto remembers Chojiro entering his Bankai whilst they fought. He called it the Koko Konryo Rikyu, at the same time Driscoll also enables the Bankai which he captured with the medallion. It sparks off a weather change while lightning if furiously made.
A cage like object appears, at this point Yamamoto is not reacting to anything. At the same time, Yamamoto remembers Chojiro whilst he had the cage like object behind him when he opened his Bankai some time ago. Yamamoto shuts his eyes as she remembers more moments with Chojiro.
Driscoll speaks to tells Yamamoto that Chojiro heard that he had not used his Bankai in over 200 years, and now he’s able to see it again, thus Driscoll should be thanked for doing this. Hisagi just keeps on looking as he notices that Chojiro’s Bankai has released. He notices that the reiatsu has incredible, a Zanpakuto that rules over the weather!
Driscoll enables the attack on Yamamoto which has a direct hit, at this point he doesn’t move and takes the attack like a man! We now go into the past where he see a younger Yamamoto, he is the Founder of Genryu, head instructor of the “Genji School”, Shigekuni Yamamoto.
Someone calls out Eijisai Yamamoto, he looks back to notice that it’s someone who keeps showing up again and again. Yamamoto explains that he was called Eijisai because of the EI shape on his forehead. He did not like being called this. At this point Chojiro kept showing up to the school again and again. Chojiro says that he’s sorry for calling him that name because it would be too presumptuous to call him by his real name.
Yamamoto tells him that he’s not one of his student and he still shows up, Choji tells him that he doesn’t want to be his attendant, he comes here to become his right arm, Yamamoto tells him that he should become his disciple, if he can become an instructor he will become his right arm.
Chojiro says no because he doesn’t want to be copying Yamamoto, he wants to become his right arm so he can accomplish tasks which Yamamoto cannot do himself. Plus Choji reveals that he hasn’t been coming there for over a month, because he has not mastered the Bankai!
Yamamoto tells him that he should try to defeat Yamamoto with his Bankai. Driscoll increases the intensity of the Bankai but still nothing. Yamamoto carry’s on with the story, he says that Chojiro had an excellent Bankai, it wasn’t able to defeat him but it did leave another scar on his forehead that would never vanish.
Yamamoto told him that his Bankai was like a child’s. Yet Chojiro didn’t lose his mind after such a comment, he in fact agreed and wanted to improve on it, he spent the rest of his life improving and making it better so he could be able to help him. Yamamoto’s scar became cross and thus he was able to change his name to Genryusai!
We return where Driscoll keeps on increasing the intensity of the power. He asks if he’s even able to defend himself against the Bankai of his subordinate. Driscoll tells him to say something. Hisagi tells himself that the Yamamoto has probably lost consciousness, quickly Hisagi goes to help!
At this point, Yamamoto calls everyone to wait, Driscoll says that he should stop talking and just die! Another lightning spike hits Yamamoto! Yamamoto talks to himself saying that Chojiro, you must be mortified that the Bankai he spent so much time improving was not this weak! Yamamoto screams out those last words is such anger that it drives him to burn Driscoll Berci until he literally becomes just bones and ash! Bleach 504 ends here!
Yamamoto is such a beast! It’s incredible that he’s able to wipe out such a tough opponent with just one slash of his Shikai! Yamamoto certainly does deserve the title of stronger Shinigami ever lived! He’s such a beast! I can’t wait for next week’s Bleach 505, it’s going to continue with this awesome story line!

Well done Kubo for explaining the connection Sasakibe-Yamamoto. Really felt the chapter and Yama-jis anger towards the bastard. As expected he got owned with one slash, buzz kill!!!
Sasakibes bankai is just awesome. I am not sure to what extent he controls the lightning but it seems to be very powerful. Also confirmed that stolen bankais do not dissapear even if their wielder dies! O.O
Also does this mean that Kenpachi will be owned in one slash as well? I doubt it…

Hell yeah, I was sure Yama couldn’t die. But I doubt Driscoll died that easy, perhaps we will see some more of him.
Wow, I didn’t think Sasakibe’s Bankai will be of lightning power, it kinda proves filler about zanpakuto, I’m beginning to think that it was very important for Bleach (or Kubo just ran out of ideas for bankais). And I also can’t agree it is any powerful. There is no difficult in creating a lightning, if you can manipulate the weather, Hyorinmaru is much more powerful!
Hmm, looks like he will. Or perhaps he will is thrown away by just the defensive Blut Arterie of the Buckbeard.

Remember that it is way more powerful when Sasakibes using it. Also we dont know what it really can do in combat situation except strking with ligtning. The agility is important.

Yeah, something by Yamamoto like Koko Konryo Rikyu has more power. But this may just be epic phrase, you know 😀

Lol, Sasakibe’s bankai has much more destructive power than Toshiro’s. No contest, Chojiro’s bankai has mass devastation ability. Lightning is much stronger than ice.

Yeah i guess now we know who made the second cross on Yama’s face.. I’m guessing the Vandenreich Leader made the first… Yeah I think Driscoll wasn’t even able to hurt Yamamoto with the Bankai while Chojiro was able to scar Yamamoto. Proving that Chojiro’s Bankai could easily surpass a lot of the other captains Bankai…
Hmm yeah it was kind of strange to see the Bankai carry on, it’s like the Koaga story all over again….
I wouldn’t put that Kenpachi would be killed in one slash… We know that Driscoll was a Stern Ritter, but he was a weak one at that, so Zaraki can’t really be compared Driscoll because Yama and V Leader have difference in power, Yama may be just a little more powerful…

Not really. 1000 years ago Yamamoto failed to kill the Vandenreich Leader. I consider them equal in strength. Same with Driscoll and Zaraki. He’s defeated, but he could still be alive.

When Mayuri said failed or what ever he said, he possibly didn’t mean it in failing to kill him, possibly that Yamamoto let him go because of some past memory or something that compromised him from killing him, possibly a son or something?

One cross story flashbacked! And no, I don’t think the other one was by VL (great, finally short name for him), because it’s not the scar arrows usually make (or is it?). I wasn’t impressed by the Bankai of Chojiro in Driscoll’s manner and I really doubt he could hurt anyone powerful enough with it (I mean ones, who are usually tough, like Zaraki, or fast, like Soi Fong, because all the captains are one of these XD).
Yamamoto and VL powers are of different nature, so they cannot be compared. We can compare the results. Yamamoto wasn’t hurt by stupid Stern Ritter Driscoll Berci and defeated him in one slash. Until we know Zaraki vs. VL final result, we can’t guess 😦 I myself want Zaraki to win and VL to stay alive. This is only possible if Ichigo appears 😀 so I think 504 will be devoted to Ichigo and HM mystery or to bankailess captains fights.

I think Zaraki will be defeated quickly like Driscoll. And Ichigo got way to cocky while fighting Kirge and thats why he’s traped in the Reishi cage and using up all his Reishi trying to get out. Even if he makes it to Soul Society, he wont change anyting. The other Stern Ritter will fight him, like the Blonde one always with the Vandenreich Leader.

Lool, I think this chapter ended at a crucial part between Yamamoto and Driscoll, and usually when something ends like it did here another story line starts or continues, so we could see any other fight during 505 😛 hopefully the Urahara situation is revealed!

now one unanswered question is now answered by this chapter. i cannot still visualized what is the bankai of sasakibe dono but it seems so powerful because he is the only known person in the series put a scar on Eijisai-dono.
but in the next chapter i think Kenpachi will be stop by somebody.

Currently he seems the only person we know, but who do you think put the other scar on Yamamoto, I personally think it was the Vandenreich Leader… It’s a bit of a long shot because we don’t even know what time this was…
Yeah it’s likely that the Zaraki vs Vandenreich Leader will be shown, and it’s going to be epic!!

Yeah lol, I would have never guessed that it would be lightning but it’s nice too see such a strong bankai! although Driscoll wasn’t even close to using the full power of the Bankai.. and I was happy that there was no Ichigo in the chapter because it’s just wasting pages in a cage while Kubo could be explaining more past story on other characters..

i actually read something about bleach how its going to show the past of most of the characters like isshin and Ryūken……… and i think its going to show the past of shunsui to show y he wears the pink clothing and some other stuff. so there going to be wasting alot of pages

May be close to truth, but I think they’re more of brother and sister. They seem to behave in the same order, they’re both wise and neither of them likes to fight. And their age is somehow similar… In the 100 yrs ago filler Ukitake asked Shunsui if he knows how old is she. Keoraku said he doesn’t or something. It seems interesting to me 😀

Yes. Where is he. My guess is the World of the Living. Trying to escape the Vandenreich. And got severely injured doing it. Maybe Hiyori inconters him cause a small Garaganta opens up beside her.

Possible, but I think if he appears to be the mysterious sword holder in 500 chpter, then he was in HM all the time. If he isn’t one, then he’s in Ice Palace, Vandenreich HQ. please, who is that Hikifune?! I don’t remember her. Was she 12th squad captain before Urahara?
