Who is Tobi?! – Tobi’s Mask Shatters – Naruto 598

Naruto 598 can be described in one word, epic. Kakashi is finally able to show Tobi that his Kamui is able to trick Tobi, Naruto attacks Tobi on his own while Kakashi asks himself if Tobi could be someone he knows very well, possibly Obito. Kakashi uses Kamui on Naruto sending him to the alternative universe, the Naruto clone uses Rasengan smashing Tobi’s mask into pieces!

Naruto 598 starts as Naruto goes for the attack he previously started during the last chapter, he extends his large arm and tries to smash it on Tobi, but since he can pass through things he does this here. Gai asks Kakashi that they should, when he looks at Kakashi he sees that Kakashi is thinking about something.

Kakashi tells himself that he can’t be, it’s impossible because he died, he then remembers a grave. Kakashi snaps out of it when Gai screams him name. Gai tells Kakashi that it’s important to create diversions when attacking Tobi and that they should also fight with Naruto.

Gai tells Kakashi that he knows what he’s thinking about and that it’s the same for him, but at the moment they should leave their feelings aside because Naruto is Kakashi’s subordinate and that he’s already a head of Kakashi. Tobi opens his dimension and throws large shuriken at Naruto.

Bee stops some of them but is cut by a few which hurts him. Naruto transforms into his Bijuu Kurama Mode and stops the one which is heading for him. Naruto tells Tobi that he’s not attacking alone, he’s got Kurama, Bee, Gyuki, Gai and Kakashi who are there to support him.

Gai tells Kakashi that he’s always a head of Gai in their battles, hopefully he won’t grow senile because of this situation will he. Kakashi tells him that he’s glad that Naruto is he’s subordinate. Then tells Gai to prepare. Gai is happy at this point that he’s rival is all excited.

Kakashi considers the amount of chakra he’s got left and says that he can only do it a few more times. Tobi tells Kakashi that he’s not afraid of some borrowed power that he can only use a bunch of times. Because Tobi is now ready to show the power of the Real Kamui. Kakashi tells himself that he has to get the timing right.

They all start running forward, Tobi tells himself that he must now pay attention to where the Kamui attacks are coming from. Tobi opens his Kamui once more and starts throwing large objects which seals the power of the Bijuu. Bee receives loads of these and is unable to move very well.

Naruto creates a clone and asks Bee to cover him, Naruto’s clone heads forward with a Rasengan filled with large Bijuu chakra. Kakashi enables his Kamui when Naruto’s Rasengan starts to go wonky. Tobi realizes that it’s the same move. Tobi thinks that it’s no point that he should go to the other dimension.

Tobi brings one of the large objects out but then misses. At this point Kakashi falls down because he’s Kamui technique has been over used. Tobi tells Kakashi that he was too fast with the stake, but here he wasn’t even able to make the Rasengan vanish. Naruto then enables the Bijuu Dama forcing Tobi to enter the other dimension.

He does this throwing Tobi into the other dimension. As he does this. Tobi notices that Naruto is in this other dimension! Naruto tells Tobi that he’s Naruto Uzumaki! Tobi realizes that Kakashi had used his Kamui to send the Naruto Clone to the other dimension, thus Kakashi was even faster than the stake.

Naruto get’s closer with his Rasengan when he shows “Who Are You?!”. Naruto successfully smashes the Rasengan into Tobi’s face breaking the mask into a million pieces! The mask is almost broken when Naruto keeps on pushing his Rasengan! The Naruto 598 chapter ends here!

We’re so close to finding who the man behind the mask is! Naruto has finally gotten an attack on Tobi and we may find out who the real man behind the mask is during next week’s Naruto 599 chapter! Plus Naruto has nearly got 600 chapters which is fantastic! Who do you think Tobi is, post using the comment section!

    Finally we will be able to see who this guy is. Gonna make the next chapter a bestseller for sure! lol Pretty nice trick they pulled on Tobi which left him without a backdoor this time. Kakashi seems to be down, Bee is chained up therefore i think Naruto should have aimed for the torso and blow him to pieces. Faster and easier lol

      That’s very true, it’s also nearly 600 chapters and I think that Kishi will hold out and wait till the 600 until showing Tobi’s face… Kakashi and Bee are down… Plus Naruto’s friends should be close by, so if Tobi does Survive the Rasengan to the face and attacks Kakashi… Someone may come and help them… Plus yeah it was a nice trick which Naruto pulled.. He’s finally learning lol

        Good point with the help. A huge army is moving to their location if i recall correctly. The funny thing is Madara is moving also there and maybe Sasuke too so i can say only this…

          ohh yeah forgot about the fight between the Kage’s and Madara… they may show this lol, you gotta think about it… 598 ended with such a large impressive moment, if i’m correct most manga’s usually move on to something else so they keep the reader intact and wanting more… so Kishi may move to something else for 599 and then the big surprise for 600th chapters!

                I think it’s danzou. if you think about it, he had the resources to retrieve obito’s eye. He may not be dead. And his right eye was the only one bandaged. His original mask only had the eye hole on the right so. Anyway that’s just a theory.

                  You never know, it could be him. Plus he seemed like a bad ass so it’s possible. But during the fight between Danzo vs Sasuke, how could you explain Danzo and Tobi being there, Tobi was watching from a distance…

                  Hmm Zetsu doesn’t seem to be to be that powerful with technical justu’s.. although he may be powerful with his tree powers but i’m not sure he would be able to learn the Izanagi

    Tobi= Obito, pretty much. To prove that he is , he was able to stop Kakashi’s kamui, this could mean that since he gave Kakashi his eye, he might still be able to control it even if it is in Kakashi . But nice chapter though.

      ahm.. it can’t be obito. During the time that Kakashi get’s his eye from Obito, that’s the time that his sharigan was activated so Obito cannot master a space time ninjutsu that time. And remember the Fight between Minato and TOBI? 😀 TOBI should be a bit or a lot older than Obito.. but there’s a big possibility that Tobi’s eye (sharingan) is Obito’s eye. .

        Again, my danzou theory could be in affect. we never actually saw the masked man fight the anbu back when naruto was born. the reason he beat them could have been because he knew their skills from training them.

          i guess, TOBI beated those anbu’s because he is much more stronger than them.. hihihi.. TOBI couldn’t be Danzo. Remember the fight between Danzo and Sasuke? He uses the Reverse Four Symbol Sealing Jutsu and ended up in a suicide.

        We saw that Kakashi and Guy and I think also Rin were like teenagers or young adults… Plus Tobi looked a little smaller and somewhat the same size as Kakashi and Guy, which could be used to explain that Tobi was the same or similar age or so as Kakashi…

    I think its kakashi’s father “White Fang”, there is very little we know about him and according to 4th Hokage, he was more powerful than the legendary senins, and he is old enough to fit Tobi’s profile. We never saw, how he died, just heard about it. Plus there is always a social or political story behind each aspect of Naruto as writer always wants to convey something. So, in this way he will show that how a father and son can even fight among each other for the nation and ideals. We saw it between friends (Naruto and Sasuke), brothers (Sauske and Itachi), disciples (you can find many examples of that, famoud one being Jiraya and Pain), so now comes “father” and “son”. Lets see how it turns out to be.

      Did you forget when kakashi died in the fight agianst pain and before bring Resurrected met his father briefly, this was a significant scene between the two which bought resolution to them both so i doubt tobi is the white fang.

      But remember that at Pain’s Invasion at Konoha, Kakashi died and talked with his father at the deads world. So could not be White Fang.

      It couldn’t be Kakashi’s father because, we were told kakashi’s father hung him self and during the time kakashi died in battle with pain he met his father in the afterlife.

      He ended it in such a moment that its possible that Kishi could move onto another fight or something, for example, for half of the chapters he could show his friends thinking about him showing their thoughts of him and the other half the fight with the Kages… then 600th will be the reveal..

    The foreshadowing is what gives away the identity of Tobi=Obito. The page where tobi says ‘ I’ll show you the power of the real kamui” their eyes are together and it symbolizes both eyes being the same, and belonging to the same face/being.

      Yeah thats true, exactly what it symbolizes 🙂 and yeah it’s likely that he’s Obito, or that they both knew Obito… Thus Rin, somehow changing herself into a boy… lol

    Naruto was impresive creating an attack like that.Tobi’s identity may not be shown in 599 and i dont think Naruto’s attack will bring him down.Since the mask has shattered we will get to see the true identity of tobi and also his true power soon.

      What if somehow, the Rasengan messes up his face and we are unable to identity who Tobi really is because he’s face will just get twisted by the Rasengan? Or maybe Kishi will be a troll and put a mask within a mask lol

    It cannot be anybody else than Obito because only Obito can use the true extent of the kamui. If it were somebody who just stole Obito’s sharingan then they would be just like Kakashi all weak after just using it twice or three times. So it can only be the original owner and master of the sharingan.
