Neji Hyuga and Tenten could have been a thing, they could have been a couple within the Naruto universe, as this image shows, both belonged together as they were actually in the same group alongside Rock Lee. However, during the war, he had previously swore to keep Hinata safe no matter what, which he did in exchange for his death.
