Jugram Haschwalth For King!? – Bleach 543 (Thoughts)

Haschwalth to be next KingBleach 543 has just been released and a lot has happened! What was firstly predicted was nothing more than false, Uryu Ishida will not be fighting by Juha Bach’s side! In fact his mission, or rather his destiny is to become Stern Ritter A! Juha Bach got on a podium in which he told all of his Vandenreich and Stern Ritter army that Uryu Ishida is the last Quincy, and that he will replace him as the next king, he is his successor.

Many Stern Ritters were shocked that someone who they don’t even know would be their king. At the end of the chapter we learnt that Juha Bach already started the process of giving Uryu Ishida his powers back when he drank that liquid. We already know that he already has his Quincy powers, could Juha Bach  be talking about powers which only pure Quincies posses, for example the Blut system. We know that Ishida is not pure, he’s the birth child of Katagiri and Ryuken. Katagiri is not a pure Quincy.

Speaking of Ryuken, Juha Bach mentioned that Uryu is the last Quincy left, where does this leave Ryuken, does it mean that he’s been killed or does it mean that he’s hidden himself well enough that even Juha Bach nor his soldiers can capture or find him. One more point could be that he’s just denied his Quincy side, thus unable to use his powers any longer.

We know that Ishida has always been the cautious type, he’s always been the thinker, therefore thinking before he even gets himself into a situation. From the very beginning, he’s always hated Shinigami’s for what they’ve done, however after meeting Ichigo, he’s learnt that some can be different. So what would possess him into choosing the Quincy side at this peak moment, he’s even been elected as the next King, so what has he given up already?

Moreover, when Juha Bach mentioned that Uryu is the only Quincy left, does that refer to Impure Quincies or rather that the Stern Ritter and Vandenreich are not Quincies themselves, and rather just plain soldiers with Quincy abilities thrusted into them by Juha Bach? We need bit more explanation to what the Stern Ritters are and how they’re different from Quincy’s themselves.

We saw some new Stern Ritter members as well  as their letters. Especially Jugram Haschwalth, and we could have easily guessed that as he was always by Juha Bach’s side, he would have to be a high enough rank, and thus he’s B. We got introduced to Stern Ritter D, Askin Nakk Le Varr, who seemed strong as well as cocky. Someone who Zaraki would be perfect to fight. He mentioned that there are people spying on them, the old guy, who we need to know more about to understand what that could be.

I’m guessing that there might be a group of people within the Vandenreich who might not accept what the war is about, and the old man might be there for a reason. Furthermore Nakk Le Varr mentions poison when referring to Haschwalth, could that be in junction that Haschwalth’s special ability is based on some kind of poison.

Furthermore, Nakk Le Varr doesn’t stop himself when admitting that he also wants Jugram Haschwalth to be the next King. He bows to him as well shares his desires that he is strong. I personally like to mention that Jugram Haschwalth would be a bad choice for a King, even if he’s Stern Ritter B, and Juha Bach’s right arm, he doesn’t seem to have any leadership skills, what he treasures most seems to be that he wants to protect Juha Bach regardless if he’s a king or not. Plus Nakk Le Varr seems to be one of those people who would use abuse his power if he got around to being Stern Ritter B.

Juha Bach mentions that Uryu Ishida will prove himself in the upcoming battles, obviously proving that once he obtains his pure Quincy abilities, as mentioned above when he drinks the liquid. He will show his true power as a Quincy as well as Stern Ritter A. One thing in which this foreshadows is the fact that Ichigo will definitely be in the battlefield, and once these two approach each other, it will make Ichigo crazy. And because Juha Bach would want Uryu to show his potential, he will be forced to fight his friend which will once again be a terrible thing.

Uryu at this point will have two choices, for him to fight against Ichigo with full force and kill him, or rather admit that he been Juha Bach just to obtain Pure Quincy abilities so he could help Ichigo and the others. Or he could fake his death at this point. If Uryu doesn’t show that he’s capable of being Stern Ritter A, or rather the king of the Quincy’s, many other Stern Ritter’s such as Bazz-B and Nakk Le Varr will quickly name their champion to be Jugram Haschwalth.

So what did you think of what I just mentioned, do you agree, do you have any more points to add and what did you think of the overall chapter? Use the comment section to tell me! I certainly can’t wait for Bleach 544.

bach doesnt seem like someone who would do something half-assed.
i think ishida might try to betray the quincies and his bloodline to help ichigo (and with the help of ryuken to make him do so, since ishida’s and ichigos dads are close friends), but bach will be aware of this intention and may have declared ishida his successor as part of some greater plan… AIZEN STYLE…

Hmm I see your point that Ishida and Ichigo are friends, yes they are. That is why it’s going to be even more epic when they fight because it’s going to be powerful guy vs powerful, not like when they first met, both of them were weak. Isshin and Ryuken know each other, I wouldn’t call them friends. I hope i’m wrong though.

here’s how i see it juha bach is after uryu’s body in a previous chapter when they had to retrat after pretty much destroying soul society they said they can only operate for a certain period of time outside their castle so what if juha bach is making uryu stronger so he can take his body and that way he can operate outside at full power all the time…that i think

My opinion of uryuu being the last Quincy is that he’s not, even if ryuken denies his Quincy side, uryuu isn’t pure Quincy and neither is ichigo but if juha Bach still counts uryuu as Quincy worthy of being his succesor then ichigo is too, right, so I bet Juha Bach is going to try to pursuade ichigo or already has(I forget) espically since ichigo’s probably the strongest being ever to be created, he has the most potential because he’s part Quincy, shinigami, and hollow, and his Quincy side has barely been touched so I see a lot of potential and that’s pretty much why uryuu isn’t the last Quincy

I think considering Ryuken and Ichigo, with Uryu being the last quincy, he lied. He will try, obviously, I think he wants to get Ichigo to join his side. Agreed that Ichigo is amazingly strong, and that he’s unique, but it might be hard because he’s such a Shinigami at this point.

We will have to wait for what Yhwach meant by that, saying Uryu was the “Last Quincy” but also he also said something that got me thinking, he said was the last Quincy in “this world”, maybe that is saying the Quincies of the Vandenreich are of a different world, or maybe he meant it in a metamorphic way, like he is the last Quincy of the old Quincies who used skills like Letzt Stil, while the Vandenreich are more advanced when they use skills like the Vollständig .

Very interesting, do you think there are different tiers of Quincy, as in Uryu is a different sort of Quincy compared to the new Vandenreich Quincies? Seems like it…

Well, technically the vandenreich quinces aren’t new, they’re the ones that survived the massacre a thousand years ago, and that many quinceys couldn’t have survived so I’m guessing that before all quinceys were native to the material human world but since the massacre they pretty much live in the soul society kinda like shinigami except they’re born Quincy, I believe that he meant that uryuu is the last Quincy native to the human world ,P.S. we don’t really know if ryuken has joined forces with the other quincies yet or not because the lake time present ryuken showed up was before the anime ended

You know I just looked back on the Final Arcs Spoilers and one of them was on “Mayuri’s research on bodies will be key in this arc” maybe the Vandenreich Quincies are actually the souls of deceased of Quincies, in other words the Vandenreich state Quincy equivalent Soul Society.

Interesting, I see Zaraki going up against Stern Ritter C, or D Nakk Le Varr. Stern Ritter are powerful, I think the previous Stern Ritters will go up against the same captains so they can get thier Bankai’s back…

    Just something to consider…
Ichigo FIRST fought hollows by stealing Rukia’s shinigami powers.
Now the Quincy are stealing Bankai from the shinigami.
    Ichigo is part Quincy.
    Is there a connection?
Can that connection be used to recover stolen Bankai?

but byakuya is the strongest shinigami, he will have to fight a stronger opponent than the ones he used to fight…like B…its only fair, i think he is royal guard level…if he gets bankai

One reason that prevents Ishida from helping Quincy is that Juha Back was the one who caused the death of his own mother. The issue is not about which side would Ishida choose. It is his mother, who was killed by Juha. How could helping Quincy be a choice. Unless, if the truth was not revealed to him by his father. If he knew about the truth, what would his father do if he knew that Ishida joined the quincy.

We know that the Purification of all Quincy’s for Juha Bach to obtain his powers back was the cause of his mother deaths as mentioned by Isshin. But this could have also been something else too. Ishida from the start always hated Shinigami’s however he learned to like Ichigo as a friend and he’s a Shinigami, well kinda. And he doesn’t have much of a problem when it comes to that. So does it mean that he already know that Ichigo is not a full Shinigami and that he’s a Quincy too. Or is Ishida really planning something, I would be nice to know what 😛

To be honest, I do not see any points from comparing Ishida and any other stern ritter. It is true that Ichigo is a unique creature, but that does not mean that Ishida is unique among the stern ritter. It does not make any sense for Kubo to make Ishida as the successor of Juha. We have seen Ishida fighting a lot, and he was very normal. The fight between him and Mayori showed what Ishida was capable for. He could not even kill Mayori. I started feeling that Kubo is trying to close the story with a crucial fight between Ichigo and Ishida. The same as Naruto and Sasuke. We all saw what happened to soul society. Even Shinsu, the one who I believe has the one of the five most powerful bankai in bleach, lost one of his eyes while fighting to strange quincy, who I believe has the letter C. Besides, the zero division will have an important role in this fight as well as Kisuke, Yoruchi, and Shiba family. There are also many divisions that are going to be revealed in this fight: ( the demon art corps and the special Ops ). All these epic characters are going to fight in this final arc against the king of quincy, who killed the captain commander of soul society that lived more than 2000 years. ( Not fighting the successor Ishida ). The ironic scene of soul society after the first invasion proved to me that quincies can not be defeated by normal captains. I just thought that the zero division can fight them alone. However, I do not believe that Ishida can kill a captain. Even if he could, he would ended up with killing that captain with his full power. ( Now, if Ishida is truly a very strong quincy, I do not believe that he is stronger than his father ).

All of that could indeed be true but as Juha apparently lied, Ishida isn’t the last Quincy from the human world, Ryuken could still be out, either Ishida lied and said that he died or that Ishida is lying or Juha Bach is not able to detect Ryuken’s Quincy powers.
