You know what I’m curious about? Rukia is a noblewoman in the Kuchiki Clan, one of the five noble families. Anyone outside these families that marries into them must change their name to that of the noble, regardless of gender. In the Zanpakuto Rebellion Arc, Koga married Byakuya’s aunt and took her last name as Kuchiki. So I’m wondering if Renji will change his last name from Abarai to Kuchiki? I personally don’t think he will because Rukia probably asked Byakuya not to force him too.

Hmmm, it’s likely that he might have, but both of them dont really care about names. I guess we’ll have to wait for the novel to see what happened in that time.
