Bleach 655 see’s The Miracle come to life after Gerard is pushed into activating against his odds after receiving some critical hits from Byakuya. Gerard grows huge and strikes everyone, but it seems Momo gets trapped somewhere beneath and it seems like she’s probably dead. Anyways, it seems Gerard has grown even stronger then precedented.
Bleach 655 begins with Gerard asking if they know the circumstances that are required for his power “The Miracles” to activate. He goes on to mention that the fact that miracles are not for everyone, as some people think that they might be lucky, but a miracle is in fact something very different.
Renji asks if he always talks like this, when he mentions that he’s impressed by the Gotei 13 and their power, to be able to wound him to this extent, when Gerard mentions that he will show them the power of his Miracle, in the face of dire odds, that is the very definition of a miracle!
Out of nowhere, Byakuya attacks Gerard’s face using Senbonzakura, hurting him and taking his mask off, Momo is shocked to see such power being used against him when Shinji mentions that he probably had something up his sleeve and this is something that he could have turned his situation around to his favour.
Gerard lays on ground as the others speak of killing him due to his abilities, Byakuya then uses his powers even more attacking Gerard’s core as he bleeds out. They begin to climb to ice palace when a large shoe appears behind them. Someone tries to stomp on them but fails as they scatter.
It seems that Gerard has grown in size by a large amount destroying anything and everything around him. He calls out to them mentioning that they shall all address him as Gerard Valkyrie! His Schrift is M, the Miracle, his power is to turn the damage he’s taken and convert it into something they can all see standing before them, his “God Size.”
Gerard is also shocked as they were able to fight and nearly kill him with their attacks, on top of which, he’s also shocked that he’s appeared in such a huge size before. He breaks a top out of one of the towers and launches towards them. Momo’s ground seems to have fallen under her, she reaches for Shinji’s arm but both Shinji and Momo are crushed using Gerard’s hand.
Byakuya attacks using his abilities but it doesn’t do anything to Gerard, as he just crushes the surrounding area and buildings, even Byakuya is attacked, on top of which Gerard blows everything away from his using only his breath. He lurks above everyone creating nothing but a shadow as he calls them his helpless pray, the Miracle will be coming for you.
A fantastic chapter, and sorry it took a while to write this up, I had a bit of a busy day with a few friends travelling, I didn’t plan on it being this late. Nevertheless, an absolutely fantastic chapter, Gerard is an absolutely beast! Can’t wait for next week’s Bleach 656 when we’ll see even more craziness.

I like Gerard’s The Miracle. I like how its simple compared to The Deathdealing or The Compulsory, which are very unique. I don’t see how any of them can take down Gerard when he is not even using his Sword.

Not to impressed with him at the moment. Lots of characters are able to increase there size like that but most are defeated without to much of an issue. Being so big makes yourself a huge target and can see that coming into play with how they beat him.

This chapter was great in my opinion. I really liked it because it showcases another ability while showing how great the threat seems at the moment. I also like the ability to turn damage into size growth. Some characters like byakuya are maturing by not underestimating these powerful enemies. im curious to see who is going to defeat him. My guess is shinji and momo (I believe she is still alive).

Ya I agree. I also noticed Byakuya was rather ruthless in this chapter. Which makes sense. Sense he originally was supposed to die by As Nodt, now he is alive and knows the Quincy will kill you if you give them a chance. Too bad the minute he is smart the the reason Gerard is so massive. Not even his Bankai can hurt him. Momo is probably alive but very hurt. Shinji is fine. Maybe he used Sakanade to evade the attack like he did with Bazz-B’s Burner Finger 3.

I’m wondering how his Bankai will take down Gerard. I’m also curious if The Miracle only works once. Like if Gerard is hurt in his massive form hell grow bigger or not?

byakuya is one of my favorite characters in this anime together with toshiro so im really excited on the upcoming episode to see how stronger byakuya after his visit in the soul palace.
I’m still waiting for toshiro’s moment. the shinigami with the most potential according to his fellow shinigami.

All Quincy that have a Schrift have a Vollständig. Its kinda a requirement. Like all Captains need Bankai. That’s another reason why I think Pernida is alive. We haven’t seen her Vollständig yet. I don’t know if Gerard will use his Vollständig in this fight sense he is so powerful.
I guess what Lille meant by saying that he’s the one closes to god is because his Vollständig leaves him intangible, or nearly indestructible. The only abilities that have been shown to hurt him are Nanao’s Zanpakuto that slays celestial beings, his own power ( Nanao reflected his final attack ) and reality warping like Shunsui’s Bankai.
I wished Byakuya stayed dead. I bet him being alive messed up Kubo’s plans for matching the remaining Sternritter and Captains to fight. Renji would be the next 6th Division Captain and Rukia would have killed As Nodt all by herself. If Jushiro dies, she’ll be the next 13th Division Captain.

I kinda hope it’s just Shinji. But I wouldn’t mind seeing Momo help. I don’t however, want to see her beat Gerard like Nemu and Nanao did to Pernida and Lille.

I said it on the last chapter that i had a feeling for some reason Gerald getting beaten up was somehow going to play on his favor, though it goes without saying that i didnt expect Gerald’s shrift “The miracle” to turn out the way it did..Franky, i expected better from Gerald’s power “the miracle” other than him turning bigger per damage received..Given the name of the shrift “the miracle” Kubo should have come up with something alot better given the fact that we have already had seen ginormous powers of sorts before with Yammy..IMO ther was so much to work on with “the miracle”…It seems like Kubo gives deep thought in making shinigami bankais than he does with Quincies power ups since i cant help it but think that most of elite sternritter powers are more of ass-pulls..& i hope the trend of vice-captain & Captain collaboration isnt instigated in this battle as wel since we already have a fair share of that in Pernida & Lille battles..Was really looking forward to this battle but given the latest events im abit disappointed, & where the hell is Kisuke? Shouldnt he be with this group?

Honestly, Gerard’s Schrift is the only one that’s simple. The other Schutzstaffel have very creative Schrift. Well, at least Pernida’s The Compulsory and Askin’s Deathdealing are creative. Lille’s The X-Axis is okay. His Intangiblity made his Schrift more unique than just destroying all things with his Reishi. Other than most of the Vollständig being bland with just a halo and wings, some of then are unique. Their abilities are the most interesting in Bleach. Its very possible Gerard’s The Miracle transfers his injures other than increasing his size. It is too soon to tell. Like with Lille. He was at first just able to pierce all things with his Reishi, than he showed us his Intangiblity.

There just maybe more to “the miracle” than meets the eye. What I mean by this is I think “the miracle” may be based on damage that he can see coming even though pain is based on nerves but if “the miracle” is in fact based on attacks that Gerald can see coming then shinji can fool Gerald with his illusions and together with momo they can defeat Gerald.

That’s an interesting perception on what might happen. Very clever. I really want to this not just Shinji and possibly Momo help, but the other Visord as well. I couldn’t care less what Byakuya, Renji, and Rukia do. Just want Gerard to waste these three. Other than the Visord, I wouldn’t mind seeing Sui-Feng help sense she only fought once in this entire arc.

Even if ther is much more to Gerard’s schrift, the fact that he turned into a giant makes this fight boring, sure this chapter is an interesting read but i cant picture it being interesting when it will be animated..the way i see it Lille’s power seemed more miraculous than this..The only thing that was bad about Lille was his final owl transformation in IMO…With Gerard i can actually see him being defeated by several Shinigami given his initial display unlike with Lille & Pernida…Izulu is a bad mismatch for Gerard, Clever opponents are a bad mismatch as wel since Gerard seem to be more of a brawler & no matter how strong he might be or how his powers work against this group given the opponents he is about to face even without Kisuke in the mix, i dont seem him walking out of it even thou that is bound to happen anyway..So im definitely expecting some ass-pulls powers from Gerard just to drag this fight & make it worthwhile but my interest in this fight has lost..
If Gerard’s power only works on physical damage the i see Soifon playing part in this fight with his poison, i also see Momo & Shinji playing part in this fight for their character development & its likely we will witness Shinji bankai or Momo’s even thou with all this group going against gerard it would have been nice if victory doesnt fall in a few handful individuals since it will be a big piss for those who would have bn stomped in this battle, after-all, gerard is up against few captains & lieutenants, its only right everyone gets a fair share in defeating him without resorting to the extremes of a handful individual even thou i think thats wats likely going to happen

Fair enough. I’ll admit, even after this fight, my have Schutzstaffel fight will still be Mayuri and Nemu vs Pernida. But again, it’s way too soon so you never know. I’m sure Gerard has something up his sleeve.
In regards to Lille, the only thing about his Vollständig that doesn’t sit well with me is his first form. It looks so different compared to his true form(owl form) and his weaken form (flamingo) at least those two form make sense. Other than the eight wings, his form form makes him look like a moth.
The only reason I’m looking forward to this fight is to see Byakuya, Renji, and Rukia get defeated. They all have too much screen time and I want them to just get defeated. Than the Visord, Sui-Feng, and Momo can help take down Gerard sense the only one that had a decent fight out of them is Sui-Feng. Shinji getting defeated by Bambietta and escaping Bazz-B’s Burner Finger 3 doesn’t count for me.

You know I just had a great theory. Once Gerard defeats Byakuya, Renji, and Rukia, he’ll focus on The Visord, Sui-Feng, and Momo. What if he get a returning Mashiro in this fight? Unlike Nemu or Nanao, Mashiro is actually Captain level and hopefully Kubo can explain where the hell she’s been. I’m also expecting many Shikai and Bankai reveals out of the Visord.

So every Schutzstaffel has a holy form, i thout that was Lille’s thing since he was the last quincy apart from Uryu to get his schrift & therefore it somewat made him closer to god atleast thats wat he said…
And im with u on Byakuya, Renji & Rukia getting most airtime & i think its only right too that this battle doesnt focus much on them..I have had enough of Byakuya, he should have just died & make way for Renji who wanted to surpass him & he would have if not for Byakuya to come from the dead & get an extra power-up

Hey guys. Why all of you want byakuya dead? Bcoz of his airtime. He deserved it. He is strong. Unlike renji and rukia who always need to be saved and yet the two of them always have a lot of airtime. Just my opinion
