Unohana Retsu, or rather a Kenpachi is known for her strong medical and kidou skills. Being one of the captains of the Gotei 13, she is highly respected both by the other captains as well as the late Captain Commander Yamamoto. Her abilities and prowess are something that allowed for Zaraki to become as he is today. His powers rival or beat even that off Unohana Retsu. As shown in this magnificent cosplay, both her normal and Bankai activated form are fantastically done.

Very nice Cosplay. Especially with her posing as both of Unohana’s personalities. I really hope we see her fight in a flashback. Her Zanpakuto is so weird.

Yeah, we didn’t get to see it properly, althought the concept was somewhat explained, it would be nice to have some sort of flashback. But personally I think as Kubo hypes the current series, its hard to see that he’ll go to the past and explain everything about the past series.

Ya that’s a possibility. Her Shikai is a living creature while her Bankai is blood. Her Shikai and Bankai Translate the same as Minazuki, but her Bankai is wrote in a different Kanji sense Japanese has three different alphabets. Sense she was the 1st Kenpachi, I highly doubt her Shikai can only heal.
