Nemuri Killed! Mayuri’s Szayelaporro Illusions – Bleach 643

Bleach 643 see’s the death of Nemuri as Pernida quickly uses its nerves and pokes into Nemuri quickly splitting her apart raining blood on Mayuri, thus initiating a sort of illusion where Mayuri begins to see a part of Szayelaporro who calls Mayuri out for having feelings and being weak. Mayuri returns taking back Nemuri’s cerebrum when Pernida’s body begins to regenerate and cause it’s body to change.

Bleach 643 begins as Nemuri unleashes her own power towards Pernida who’s harm  just breaks apart into a million pieces. Nemuri thus begins to fall as she realises that something will happen. The small pieces begin to  change and move as it unleashes all it’s nerves into the body of Nemuri instantly killing her.

All the of the blood in Nemuri’s body splashes into Mayuri. Mayuri realises and doesn’t believe that Nemuri would just go from him like that. As Mayuri realises this, we see Szayelaporro appears from Mayuri’s dreams as he mentions if what he just sensed was despair in his voice.

He goes to mention that he didn’t even know Mayuri had emotions, then goes to mock that such a scientist wouldn’t even be saying such things. Nemuri has perished, while he finds anguish in that. Mayuri gets quoted here from before as perfection is meaningless because despair is inherent in perfection. He himself despises perfection.

Thus Nemuri’s death simply means she was something even more far from perfect. Thus now he has to go back to the proverbial drawing board and strive to create something superior. Szayelaporro realises that Mayuri is upset by the fact that Nemuri fooled him that she was perfect.

Szayelaporro mentions on how the mighty have fallen. Then tells Mayuri that he should be grateful to Pernida for killing Nemuri as it removed the air of pompousness and hubris that he had clearly been breathing. The one thing he thought was perfect is not nothing but a distant memory.

Out of nowhere, Mayuri raises his hand and into Szayelaporro’s face  crushing it into nothingness. It seems that Mayuri has returned to his normal self as it seems that someone by the likes of Szayelaporro to notice his negligence is something to make even him laugh or cry.

Out of nowhere, Pernida changes as it begins to eat the body of Nemuri quickly until nothing exists. Now that Nemuri’s body has been reduced to nothing but meat, Pernida seems to go on ahead to try his best to eat every part of her. However, Mayuri takes Nemuri’s cerebrum.

Mayuri tells Pernida to enjoy his time with Nemuri’s body because he will die before digesting her. Out of nowhere, Pernida’s body begins to change and transform as Mayuri explains that the fact that Pernida has eaten Nemuri’s pituitary gland, hers was special enough to exceed the threshold the normal life span of her regenerative konpaku cells.

A forced accelerated cellular breakdown organ was embedded within it with the sole purpose of pushing the boundaries of his own theories and keeping growing. Fail safes were placed into this special organ to exceed its normal function. Thus by ejecting the base core of the cerebrum, this organ would be able to create a direct connection with the parietal lobe and seize control of the body.

Mayuri explains in simple terms, that without this organ, his body will experience accelerated regeneration, ultimately leading to its self-destruction of all the arms Pernida has created. Bleach 643 ends here.

A magnificent chapter featuring the death of Nemuri, while also see’s a potential way for Mayuri to finally to defeat Pernida once and for all. A great and amazing chapter, can’t wait for next week’s Bleach 644, when the battle continues.

The whole Szayelaporro illusion was interesting. The only thing that makes weird is that Mayuri has done another science ass pull. But here are four of my reasons why Pernida isn’t dead and Mayuri will still die.

#1. Pernida needs a flashback: I think we can all agree that this needs to happen. This can’t happen if Pernida dies now. Kubo gives flashbacks to characters before they doe. Like Nemuri (who’s now dead) and Mayuri (who will still die). Plus, there is still one Pernida clone left.

#2. Kubo is biased about Mayuri: We all know this as well. Mayuri is Kubo’s favorite character to draw. Thus making him quite biased about him. That’s why he only lost one fight in the entire series of Bleach. If Mayuri wins, we all know it’s because Kubo doesn’t want to see him loss or die. But I know that won’t happen.

#3. Szayelaporro illusions. This was interesting. Szayelaporro represents the mad scientist in Mayuri (which surprised me because I always thought Mayuri was full mad and like 5% human. But they way Kubo Did This Makes Me Thinks He wants us As The Reader To Feel Sorry For Mayuri. The fact that he views Nemu as his perfect creation makes him hypothetical for telling Szayelaporro that he hates perfection. The only time Kubo makes us feel sympathy towards a psychopathic and cruel character is when they die. Like with Nnoitra. He was so cruel, but his flashback told us he has severe depression was made that way. I still believe he’ll die.

#4. My personal theory: I believe the death of Mayuri is connected to Aizen. His binds are what hold Aizen. He cannot escape on his own. And if Mayuri lives, he will never let him out. We all know Aizen is going to break free. That’s why if Mayuri dies, than Aizen can free himself. He is currently in the Serietei. He needs to come to the Warhlet and see that Mayuri died.

1, I agree with you, Pernida needs a flashback. I think it was Kubo who previously did this, but a chapter without any text or very minimal text to represent Pernida would be something unique from him.
2, I guess Mayuri is very much a part of what makes Bleach awesome. And he won’t die anytime soon I think.
3, Szayelaporro was a shock to me, I have to make sure it was him for a second. I think Mayuri thinks that Nemu for him is the closest thing he’s known to perfect. And maybe Mayuri somehow tried to absorb Porros knowledge but also absorbed his consciousness (a little weird which could or could not be viable).
4, that’s something I thought too. Mayuri I think along with only a few other people are the only people that can hold Aizen down. And usually it would take more then 1 person to stop him. Aizen is a God!

The flashback is main reason why Pernida shouldn’t die yet. That’s my only concern. Mayuri does make Bleach good. He’s in amazing character. But all good characters need to die.

Like Byakuya was supposed to die from his fight with As Nodt, but death threats from fans made Kubo bring him back. Byakuya is an amazing character as well. I like him more than Mayuri. But his death would have impacted Rukia, Ichigo, and Renji much more and Rukia would aubergine killed As Nodt all on her own to avenge her brother.

I believe Szayelaporro is part of Mayuri in his mind. I watch a show called House, and he went through a similar situation that Mayuri is going through. His best friend’s girlfriend died in a bus wreck that he was on too. But he had memory loss and couldn’t save her in time because she got a vitamin over dose. When they found her, they treated her with kimo for cancer. But with the vitamin overdose and damaged immune system from chemo, she died. House than solves medical cases with the woman in his mind, speaking with him as his own brain. Szayelaporro must have had a impact on Mayuri. Otherwise his mind wouldn’t show him speaking like the scientist he used to be. Its also a way of Kubo to show us a new side of Mayuri by using Szayelaporro, because Mayuri doesn’t speak his emotions.

True about Aizen. Having been confirmed by Kisuke that he’s stronger than when he lost to Ichigo, He is kinda A god. But I still believe Mayuri’s death will help him escape.

Pernida’s past is highly welcomed by me, id like to see a past here of everything. In terms of Szayelaporro, I see what you mean. His own consciousness is guiding him in the form of a being. But why this particular person? Maybe the brain just randomly chose of Mayuri’s research played with his Arrancars head that it’s memories and consciousness appear within Mayuri. Or maybe it’s something similar to Ichigo where he has certain powers from him?

Pernida is by far the most interesting Schutzstaffel. She needs a flashback. I want to know why she became one with the left arm. I think it’s more that Kubo wanted to show us what’s going on with Mayuri without him actually thinking it himself. So to speak. Kubo is using Szayelaporro to tell us that he viewed Nemuri as his perfect creation and how his old self wouldn’t care that she died. Its very clever how he did it. I also didn’t really like Nemuri’s death. It was kinda lackluster. But it still shocked me and made me shed a tear. I know Mayuri’s death will be much better.

Indeed, I think once the fight begins to concentrate on Pernida, we’ll see a story be told. I think there is something more to Szayelaporro that we need to know and what Mayuri did that he’s being haunted like this by him. I guess Nemuri’s death was a little underwhelming, but I don’t think there would be another way for Kubo to show it after she used 6% of her own soul. Also if Mayuri robbed Pernida of Nemuri’s Cerebrum, then its possible for him to use it to return her memories to another artificial form, that is if he can keep it safe and stored correctly.

That’s probably why he’s so surprised and “sad” that Nemu is dead. I know Kubo likes to make us be on our feet in this type of fight. Were it seems we don’t know who will win. I’m betting Mayuri’s death will be longer than two or three pages like Nemu.

Could we see a double death here? Somehow one will die earlier then the other? But still both will die. I still think that Mayuri won’t die here, I don’t know why but it just seems to me that he’ll live.

The death flag for Mayuri was introduced way before Nemu’s death flag. The fact that at the beginning of this fight, he wasn’t himself and careful told us that he is going to have trouble. I also mentioned that the sympathy Kubo wants us to feel for Mayuri makes me think he will die. Also, Pernida is the left arm of the Soul King and Schutzstaffel C The Compulsory. You don’t think she deserves to kill a Captain like Mayuri? Considering how powerful and dangerous she is. Plus, the fact that Mayuri basically gave Pernida cancer makes me think this is his last science trick he’ll use because it’s so amazing. Making his death even better. If he wins I’ll be immensely disappointed. Good guys need to die.

Obviously, Pernida isn’t dead yet so it’s possible that he will survive. However, I can’t imagine Mayuri will die after getting Pernida so close to death. Furthermore, Mayuri is perfectly equipped to defeat Pernida if he does who would? I will say that while I expected Nemu to die, the fact that she died so effortlessly is disappointing.

I actually don’t believe Kubo will kill off Isane. She is the only one of the Gotei 13 that’s a master healer. The only other healer around other than Orihime is Hachi. I’m hoping she becomes the next 4th Division Captain. Nanao I’m not sure. I want to see her Shikai. Shunsui did promote as 1st Division lieutenant for a good reason.

That’s what I think. The fact that Mayuri has her brain means he can revive her. But yes i still believe Pernida will kill Mayuri. I agree with you, Kubo is trying really hard to make us think Mayuri has won.
