Naruto 655 gets a hold of the story between how Naruto and Obito are alike, they both want to become Hokage however one has adopted the way to get help from friends while Obito requires power. Obito mentions after Rin’s death, his world became dark and thus he followed Madara’s ways. Kakashi tries to kill Obito however Minato stops him, he tells others to go towards Madara and the tree to help him there too.

Naruto 655 begins as other Tailed Beasts tells Naruto that he’s done a good job and saved them. Other Tailed Beasts also respond with Naruto being their saviour. Sasuke quickly goes towards Obito to possible end him, Obito notices Sasuke running towards him when Kakashi shows up above him. Kakashi tells Sasuke to save the talking for later, he mentions that he was his friend and thus he should take responsibility.

As Kakashi goes for the lunge, Minato stops him, everyone cheers to finish him off but Tsunade and the others say to wait. Minato mentions that when his chakra was being pulled, he saw in his heard, he saw the nagging Naruto gave him, to which he may have inherited from his mother. However this role was originally Kakashi’s role, he understands him and is his friend. Minato asks if this is right, to which Naruto agrees and looks at Sasuke, same time Kakashi looks at Obito.

Minato tells Naruto and the others to quickly go and support Hashirama, and that Madara must be sealed. Naruto runs and calls for Sasuke. Minato begins by speaking that they were even smaller than Naruto, the missions they finished together. As a medical ninja, Rin did as much as she could, she would have never wanted this to happen. Minato mentions that he’s the one responsible for letting this happen.

Minato mentions that it’s not a coincidence that he’s there standing by them, maybe Rin allowed this to happen. Afterall he is their teacher. He mentions that he’s sorry that he wasn’t able to protect Rin. Obito mentions that Rin was the light in his life. After losing her the world he lived in became dark, he had no hope and thus followed Madara. Even with his Sharingan, he wasn’t able to see anything.

Kakashi mentions that this may not be certainly true, he mentions that his path is one way. Kakashi explains that he also thought that this world was hell, he had lost both of them, as well as Minato. He remember when Obito gave him his Sharingan. He mentions that he strained his eyes just trying to see.

However Kakashi’s Sharingan gave him the ability to see. Obito asks if he speaks of Naruto, and why he’s path will not fail. Kakashi gets up and says that he may fail as well. Obito asks how he and Naruto differ, Kakashi tells him that from what he can see, Naruto is less likely to fail than Obito. This is because when Naruto’s about to stumble, he’ll be there to help him. Obito asks him why he would do such a thing when Kakashi tells him that he wont give up on his dreams.

Or bow down to reality because he’s that kind of guy. Furthermore, his path draws in comrades, if it seems like he’s about to stumble, there are others to help him. And the more support there is, the closer his goals become, this is how they’re different. We see Naruto create a Oodama RasenShuriken to which he wants to destroy the tree. Obito asks if something like this can exist in such a world.

Kakashi tells him that if he tried, he should have been able to see that such a thing does exist, since both him and Kakashi carry the same eyes. We see Naruto’s massive RasenShuriken from a long distance space out to which it is just about to hit the top of the flower. Kakashi tells him if he had trusted friends by his side, his hopes would have taken shape and he would have been able to see, that is what Kakashi believes in.

A great chapter, especially since it seems to be closing down and Naruto’s also getting closer to his dream. However what I’ve been wondering is how it will all go down when we consider Madara in the mix! It’s going to be awesome! Can’t wait to see what happens, however we’ll have to wait since hiatus begins with the next issue, they’ll release Naruto 656 in the first issue of new year.
