Bleach 501 continues with its epic fight between Byakuya vs As Nodt. A powerful captain versus an incredibly powerful Stern Ritter. Ichigo is still stuck in the cage even after trying to cut it with he’s sword but fails. Byakuya notices that he’s very tired and doesn’t know whats going on. Renji is told to stay back to see what kind of technique he uses. Byakuya’s Fear is questioned and used against him.
Bleach 501 starts of with Ichigo still trapped within the cage tired as he tries to break out using his power but fails at each point. He starts by telling himself that not even his Getsuga Tenshou doesn’t work against the cage! He notices that on the phone Akon is still there while Urahara’s call has been disconnected.
Ichigo starts to panic because of the inability to do nothing from him. He’s all tied up and he can’t do anything! He starts to get tired quickly and is starting to use quite a lot of power. Back in Soul Society we see Byakuya Kuchiki is still fighting with his full force, except that he’s Bankai has been stolen from him.
Byakuya tells Renji to stay back because there is no point in attacking an enemy whose power they still have no knowledge about. He tells Renji to watch his fight and understand what his ability is. Renji asks if he’s going to be fighting after he knows his power. Byakuya tells him that he doesn’t have the intelligence in being able to lure As Nodt into showing his powers.
Byakuya notices that his limbs and such are starting to halt and stop as if they are tired or something. He notices that As Nodt has some kind of thorns surrounding him, would they be containing some kind of poison or something similar. As Nodt asks Byakuya if he’s noticed yet.
He tells him that you may have thought it was poison, but its not. As Nodt tells him that it’s something that he may have lost a long time ago, he reminds him that he had become a captain and then became really strong. He had the power to completely overpower his enemies, so he forgot about it a long time ago. He reveals that this feeling is nothing other than pure Fear!
Renji is shocked that Byakuya would actually be in fear. As Nodt tells him that he’s a good captain, plus he resisted very well. An average Shinigami would’ve started screaming in fear and go mad at the first strike of his arrows. They would have died and their heart unable to resist the shock. Therefore anything would instantly turn into fear.
As Nodt tells Byakuya that even if he moves towards him, something deadly may happen. Even if it’s a small amount of movement, something suspicious is likely to occur, and thus he will start to not think straight. He tells Byakuya that he’s currently resisting this with only his willpower, it’s very surprising to As Nodt.
The fear has already captured Byakuya’s heart. Byakuya’s notices the fear and tells him that there is no fights without fear. He has overcome it every time he fights, which are usually on the verge of his death by the opponent. He has never repressed his fear, he’s always acknowledge his fear and gained strength from it. He pictures Rukia happy, within a few moments he starts to notice that her face starts to degrade and starts to dissolve in a fearful way!
Byakuya is hit once more and this time it’s a critical hit to his torso. As Nodt tells him that he’s not currently moving and that most experienced fighters tend to believe that Fear can be overcome, plus Fear with a reason is gentle, this is what As Nodt says. Anyone can stop it with experience and willpower, if you know the reason and source of fear, you can stop it. But sometimes Real Fear doesn’t have a reason, because it’s not a feeling, it’s an instinct. It has no reason and no limits.
Byakuya imagines himself as thought a horde of bugs are crawling up his body. He cannot escape his own instinct and this is now caught within As Nodt technique. They are all crawling up above his body to his face. Byakuya uses his will power quickly to escape the dream. He does this and tries to slice As Nodt, but fails as As Nodt has backed away.
As Nodt quickly takes out the metal circular plate which holds Byakuya’s Bankai, it seems as though he’s going to be using it. Rukia who is somewhere else see’s one of Byakuya’s flowers pass by her head. It’s hard to explain what has happened but it seems that As Nodt has attacked Byakuya with his attack and Byakuya starts to fall as his Bankai circulates the sky. Bleach 501 ends here!
That was a crazy episode! Even if we still don’t know who killed Kirge Opie, it seems that next week we will get back to Hueco Mundo and see who killed him! Plus as Urahara disconnected his call he may have been attacked or just had to talk to them privately. Still it was an awesome chapter! Can’t wait for next week’s Bleach 502 chapter! It’s going to be fantastic!

I think Urahara was saved by Hikifune, the misterious woman of the 0 division, and she went in Spirit king dimension. That’s why the Akon didn’t see Urahara in Hueco MUndo. LOL I hope that ^^

Did i just read RIP at the end? Seems the F by As is for fear which makes him damn powerful. I just cant believe Byakuya will die that easly. Maybe Unohana jumps in and continues the fight and they heal him?

Agree, Manga Stream take their time but deliver a better translation and quality. Imagine the expression on Renji. Hopefully he freaks out releasing his new Bankai (its rumored that he has a new bankai!!) and hopefully As Nodt cannot store 2 Bankai’s in one medallion.

Yeah I think it was what As Nodt said in his mind as he went to do that attack at the end. Ahh yes, seems it is! I’m sure Unohana wouldn’t be a good match for this. I would suggest Zaraki! He surely doesn’t fear any enemy and goes full on! So i’d want him to play his part here…

Zaraki would be ok as well but we cant afford for Bya to die that easly. We need her to heal him. Also hell knows what the other Sternritter can do. We would need 16 Kenpachis to cover them all. I fear this is the ultimate defeat for SS.
The Obon festival is in around two weeks. I really hope he reveals it till then.

I think it’s gonna be Renji to save Byakuya. He’s nearby and can use Bankai, which has changed a little, according to an article here. Most possible to my mind.

The trolling here is that Zabimaru will fight Senbonzakura and win (can’t imagine how it can happen, but must be so). Also, I doubt quincys can steal two bankais within one medallion.

Hmmm, Kubo might have to cheat a bit for this to happen, or make some explanation that as As Nodt was not the sole owner of Senbonzakura, he didn’t know how to use the bankai and thus Senbonzakura itself resisted control from As Nodt, therefore it wasn’t able to beat Zabimaru…

I hope renji uses his Bankai against As Nodt. I bet all the Stern Ritter only have one. Plus i wonder As Nodt’s Quincy: Vollstandig is. Probably scary as fuck!! We might see the other Stern Ritter’s Quincy: Vollstandig. We saw that Stern Ritter with the mustaches Quincy: Vollstandig. He shot Shunsui in the eye with it! Hes Spirit Weapon is a hand gun that fires consentraded spirit energy that burns opponents in an intense blue flame. And i think all there Quincy: Vollstandig are something with god and something holy. There all Angel like with the halo and stuff.

Oh, so many letters. Quincy Vollstandig is likely to appear a lil bit later, when it will be revealed, that quincys can’t store more than one Bankai, and the other captains start to fight. But, your idea about old man quincy weapon is awesome, I wondered what it was up until now. Well, judging by Keoraku’s already beaten one shotgun user, he is likely to win, if nothing like As Nodt’s abilities appears.

This is probably a stupid thing to say but have you noticed that Kubo used numbers for the Arrancars and now using letters for the Quincy’s. Although Arrancars had to fight for their spots in the top 10, they weren’t very powerful. Plus there were only around 20 ish Espada’s to put in the top 10. But with Quincy’s there could be thousands or even millions in its community, which usually means that they had to fight for those 26 characters, so when one letter steps down, it could mean that someone else killed the other letter to replace them with the new stronger quincy.

Hmm Personally I think that all the Stern Ritter’s Quincy: Vollstandig are the same. Its not like the Arrancars where they had their own animal form. The mustache guy had similar wings to that of Kirge. Depending on how much reishi they absorb, the different their form looks, but if the Stern Ritters absorb the same amount then it would look the same or similar. But still not confirmed. You may be correct about it 😛 Yeah the anime of them will look pretty epic!! 😀

Well yeah hes fighting Shunsui, of course hes powerful! Shunsui, Joshiro and Restu are the strongest Captains in the Soul Society. Under Yamamoto. They’ve bein Captains for o over 300 years! Still cant wait who fights Restu. Shes one of the scariest Captains, like Zaraki and Mayuri. Joshiro calls Restu “senpai” so shes probably one year higher then both Joshiro and Shunsui. Because her sealed Zanpakuto is a Nochi and not a common Katana. Shes a master of Kendo as well. And Kido. She has a little over average speed in Shunpo. She might be a master like Joshiro and Shunsui. I bet shes ok with Hakura but not a master. Still think that female Stern Ritter with her hood on. Cant wait man!! XD

Shes definitely awesome, im not sure if shes on year higher, but shes a lot older then Joshiro and Shunsui… Personally I feel as though Yama and her are related somehow, maybe shes her daughter or something? Yeah she’s probably been around for a long time so she possibly knows everything kido technique as well as be very powerful person… She’s would be a tough contender for any Quincy.
