Mayuri Kurotsuchi is one of the craziest characters within the anime and manga Bleach. As you can see from the image above, Mayuri has had a few different looks as time goes on. Mayuri is currently the Captain of the 12th Division as well as the President of the Shinigami Research and Development Institute.

Around a 100 years ago, Mayuri was told by Urahara that he’ll be working with him to help him with future project. Possibly he was being trained to replace Urahara. Back then, he had painted his face white with a black strip running horizontally his eyes. He had two cones which served as he’s ears. He also had purple hair. Over the 100 years, he had become a captain, he’s appearance changed as he gained a cap as well as a third cone for his chin. His head was again pained white, but his inner face was pained black.

After some months, his appearance changed a little as gained a new type of cap which ran through the back of his head. He also replaced the outline of his head with a yellow/gold metal. His face pain changed again. During the Final Arc, around 17 months later, Mayuri had once again changed his look as he now had a large head-gear which flows from his hair-line to the back of his head. The outline of his face is covered with the gear, it ends in his chain.
