Fairy Tail 388 begins as Erza and Minerva both go at it, blow by blow we see them fight it out when Minerva remembers her past to which she wishes to just die for her weakness. On top of which Mard Geer appears and so do the Twin Dragons, Rogue and Sting, saving Minerva. We also see Wendy do something drastic by cutting her long hair short giving her a new look as well as a new attitude to keep on fighting to defeat all 1000 Face weapons.
Fairy Tail 388 begins as Wendy, Doranbolt and Carla talk about how they don’t have hope left. To which Carla mentions that they don’t have any hope and that it’s over. However Wendy stops her from saying it as she mentions that she doesn’t want to despair any more. She uses her air power to cut her hair.
She mentions she won’t cry out like a weakling any more, and she won’t shed any more tears. Everyone is fighting, so she can’t give up either. Minerva and Erza keep on fighting, to which Minerva hits Erza once to cut even her blades. Then kicks her, however moments later Erza gets back to punch Minerva with all her might.
Erza punches Minerva asking her what she’s fighting with, to which Minerva remembers a past moment when she was with her father, as she cries she is told not to beg for forgiveness, she is unable to please her father. Minerva fights back hitting Erza. She remembers that her father had told her that she is weak and that she will not accept something like this.
Minerva is embarrassed by what she has to do next as she is too weak to do anything else. Erza punches her telling her to wake up. Erza mentions the path she took in the games was all for the sake of keeping Sabertooth the strongest guild. Erza mentions that the fist she used to punch her is crying that it had to be involved in a meaningless fight.
Erza mentions that she understands and thus she should use those first to just kill her. Minerva mentions that she is weak and that has succumb to darkness, she cannot go on living. Erza tells her that she is who she is, and she is sure that there are people waiting for you to come home. Don’t ever lose sight of that.
Mard Geer appears and mentions that he hates how humans live, and what they’re thoughts are on life and death. Erza notices Mard to which she is ready to fight, he enables a magic to which he wants to begin fighting, and thus aims at Minerva. There’s a large explosion to which Sting and Rogue have appeared, they mention that they have missed her, she begins to cry. Fairy Tail 388 ends here.
A good chapter with some lead up to a good fight as the Twin Dragons will most likely fight against Mard Geer who is up for fighting them. Can’t wait for next week’s Fairy Tail 389, titled “Twin Dragons vs Dark King”, when we see both Rogue and Sting fight the Dark King, Mard Geer.

The battle with erza and minerva was pretty short thought their would’ve been more action between erza and minerva then mard guille came in and attacked them but then the twin dragons arrived to save minerva.The next chapters gonna be twin dragons vs mard guille i hope this battles gonna be more exciting.
Another thing to what freaked me out was their was someone who came in after the twin dragons what shocked me is the figure looked like gray i cant confirm if it is but when he said sorry i’m late erza was shocked to hear his force what mysteries will the next chapter hold if it is gray this is gonna get more interesting.
So yeah i loved this chapter alot it was awsome i cant wait for 389 but who was the figure at the end of 388 is it master end or is it someone else?
So yeah i’m betting my money on the next chapter also to in this chapter it was pretty sad how minerva’s past was she was treated like trash from her father thats prob why she turned out the way she is its really messed up when he said take off ur clothes he treated her like an animal now i feel for minerva……..:(

Hmm I think the people who freaked you out, who were in a silhouette were in fact Sting and Rogue. Gray is fighting Silver, unlikely he’ll show up here. Yeah I was saddened that such a situation changed her whole outlook on life and how she was needed to be strong. She’ll finally find her place to be in Sabertooth!

I highly suggest you read it from mangastream, I wouldn’t trust mangareader, or any other because their translation can be off at times.

I like the new Wendy. goodbye cry baby and welcome brave wendy. erza was targeted by that king demon guy. I wonder why? atleast the twin drags are here now. but my question is where the hell is gildarts? where is that freaking old man? they need him more than anything at the moment.

the new look does suit her pretty well. I think Erza and Mard may also have some kind of connection since she knows his voice. Gildarts is the authors trump card, once something massive happens and FT has no chance of winning, he will bring him out.

Erza knowing Mard’s voice may be due to how he “hijacked” the communication between the FT members and thus making his presence known in the last chapters~

Yeah.they’re strong, but if Natsu could beat them without exerting that much effort, who Mard Geer could easily beat in his base form, what makes the twin dragons strong enough to fight Mard?

That’s a good question. Well they are aware of how powerful their Opponent is, so they are only there to hold him off to give time for others to come with a new strategy on how to defeat tartarus.
