Some more news on Sword Art Online’s second series featuring a whole new game, Gun Gale Online. We follow the journey and story of the light novel adaption “Phantom Bullet”. Gun Gale Online heavily focuses on firearms, knifes a variety of weapons. The anime aims to capture the trauma Kirito is in after the Sword Art Online incident as well as reveal the whole new world of Gun Gale Online. A lot of work as well as gun play mechanics seems to have gone into the anime from the artwork being published alone. 

These artwork were revealed in March Edition Dengeki Bunko. Theses character seem to be very similar just with different wigs and wardrobes, even Kirito seems to look a little different from his usual self. From the images below we also set our eyes upon a few other NPC looking characters who seemingly may fight against Kirito and be defeated by him.

I am certainly happy to see more on this anime, the first 25 episodes were amazing, therefore I can’t wait to see more on the character design, I always welcome such awesome art work by the animators. What are your opinions on the new anime and characters?
