Naruto 656 sees the counter attack from Madara Uchiha. After Obito has been decreased in power, we see Madara take his advantage in his weak state by controlling the second side of Obito as well as Black Zetsu into performing the Rinne Tensei No Jutsu for Madara to which when this does happen, he fully comes into life and obtains an actual body! Could this also mean that Obito has lost his life just to bring Madara back. He’s now fully in control of his body as well as gained his life and soul back and is able to use his full power. We’ll now see the true power of what is Madara Uchiha!

Naruto 656 begins with Obito looking right up towards a bright flash in which Naruto is creating a really large Rasengan. Obito thinks of Naruto’s path. Naruto launches his Rasengan towards what seems to be Madara. Hashirama mentions that the wooden dragons around him will sap his chakra slowly and stop all his ninjutsu. He’s now been immobilized as well as had a trick up their sleeve.

Hashirama congrats Naruto and now they need to seal him. Everyone notices the large explosion and heads towards there knowing that Madara is there. Sai gets Naruto from there. Gaara asks Shukaku to lend him his strength so that he can seal Madara.  Shukaku mentions if he wants to use his Desert Layered Imperial Funeral, Gaara wishes to use this on a much grander scale.

Shukaku mentions that he’s no longer bound as a Jinchuuriki, to which he no longer needs to take orders from him. Gaara mentions that he’s not ordering him, he’s just asking for his aid, if he doesn’t want to do this he will ask someone else. Shukaku mentions that both him and Naruto have become really close, Gaara mentions if he doesn’t help him they can talk about it all later.

It’s mentioned that if a fox can transform seven times a raccoon can do it eight times, referring to Japanese proverbs. Shukaku mentions that he’s no longer doing it for him, he’s doing it on his own free will. The other Tailed Beasts mention that they’re joining them. Goku notices that a long time ago Naruto mentions that he’d only like to help them. They unanimously decided to help Naruto.

Gaara looks down and gives them their thanks. Goku mentions that he and Naruto seem to have a special fellowship, to which Gaara mentions that he was his first true friend. They head out after hearing this. We see a Madara who has been crushed down by a number of red poles sealing him down. Naruto’s jutsu wasn’t enough to take him down, their only thing is to wait for someone to seal him.

Gaara smiles, Obito seems to have reacted something. Minato begins to say that as his body no longer has any tailed beasts, when Kurama interrupts him mentioning that because it’s the Ten Tailed there is an exception, his life will not be in mortal danger due to the Gedo Mazo. Even if it’s an empty Vessel, it will have a large life force. The Sage of Six Path was able to do such a thing, he’ll be paralyzed for a significant amount of time, this is what happened to the Sage of Six Paths. Minato mentions that there is no worry as Kurama gave him some advice.

Kakashi mentions that he needs to make amends however if he’s going to stay like that then it will do. Kakashi mentions that he’s going and he should take care of Obito. However out of nowhere, Obito moves and it seems that he’s doing a move, he realises that the man he tried to use is currently using him. He didn’t even think that he’d be used just like Nagato.

HE does the Gedo Rinne Tensei No Jutsu (Outer Path: Samara of Heavenly Life Technique), Kakashi is shocked that he’s using such a technique as he’ll possibly die. Minato notices this. Obito realises now why Nagato had betrayed him. The feelings and emotions of a group when unified becomes really powerful. Seeing as tho both were disciples of Jiraiya, it is him who had defeated Obito.

Even Minato was his disciple, and the man who trained him to become Hokage was Jiraiya. Minato’s disciple gave up on becoming Hokage and failed on his emotions and feelings with his comrades. He no longer have the right to meet up with Rin. Kakashi asks if he’s okay with this and pay his penance for his sins. Obito mentions that this would be taking the easy way out.

Out of nowhere pops Black Zetsu which tells Obito that he’ll help him pay his penance. Madara mentions that it’s time for the transfer. Finally his counterattack begins, Hashirama mentions that he’s bluffing and that the war has been decided. Sai arrives and enables his sealing technique. Madara mentions that his words cannot express the thanks he owes him.

By simultaneously extracting all the Bijuu’s from Obito, it saved him the hassle of weakening him to a vulnerable state. Black Zetsu mentions that this has always been his one and only purpose. Both Minato and Kakashi watch. Sai’s Tiger Seal bites Madara when the Rinne Tensei No Jutsu is enabled.

Madara’s body begins to make a hiss sound to which it seems the seal isn’t going to work. From then on, Black Zetsu begins to come out of him and begins to leave Obito. there is a large explosion where Madara is when Sai’s seal breaks. Madara mentions that he’s now able to fight at full strength, the sensation he’s having of an actual body, feeling his blood boil, feeling his skin crawl that he wants to crush some skulls. Madara is back to life! Naruto 656 ends here.

What an incredible chapter, Madara has finally come back to life, and now he’s able to use his full power, especially the power that he’s got from Hashirama. It’s now possible that he’ll be even stronger than Hashirama. It’ll be awesome to see who’ll fight Madara next, the closest are Hashirama, Naruto and Sai, we’ll have to see how it all happens! Will Naruto use the power of the Bijuu’s? Can’t wait to see next week’s Naruto 657 awesome chapter!
