Naruto 649 somehow brought some tears as we see a nearly dead Shikamaru stand up only from a small amount of Naruto’s Chakra, all the pain, suffering and love which Naruto has felt was transferred into everyone which helped heal Shikamaru. He mentions that he’s going to be by Naruto’s side as he’s right hand man. Everyone feels Naruto’s emotions quickly agree that Naruto has gone through a lot but is still fighting for everyone’s survival. Everyone gets hyped up to fight back.

Naruto 649 begins with the Kage’s reaching the battlefield. Raikage mentions that there is no longer a need to talk about their dream because they’ve already earned it, however Onoki mentions that they must come out on top. Tsunade mentions for them to spread out and take command. They will need to draw the largest power of the Shinobi Alliance. They go, everyone begins to get ready to fight.

Naruto and Sasuke’s attacks didn’t do much as it was quickly blocked however Obito’s defense was left broken. He mentions that it’s fine and that he’ll just have to sort them out. Naruto quickly thinks that he’s not going to let him kill his friends. Sakura’s bubbles touch Shikamaru to which he’s clad begins to form. Sakura notices that even while Naruto fights he’s worrying about helping his friends and allies. She mentions for him to handle his business and leave her to do her job.

Ino mentions that Naruto is doing this subconsciously, his strong will and heart is helping Shikamaru, as well as making his Chakra move. She knows because he’s clearly feeling it with her Mind-Body transmission technique. Shikamaru begins to think of Naruto mentioning that he’s always been trying to do the impossible. Just how far is he willing to got for them, they haven’t done much up until now and he still prioritizes their health.

Shikamaru says sorry to his father, Shikaku. Mentioning that he won’t be joining him just yet. Sakura mentions that she won’t let him die as everyone needs him to be there. Shikamaru mentions that Naruto has been depressed about traumatic and painful events in his life yet he’s persevered  through with just sheer willpower. He now just wants to help him and doesn’t want him to go through it again.

Shikamaru remembers telling Shikaku that Naruto will become a vital Shinobi for the entire village, Shikamaru feels that whatever Naruto chooses he’ll always follow him. He then mentions that unlike Hashirama, Naruto didn’t have a brother for him to open up and talk to, that’s why when Naruto becomes Hokage, he’s got to be his right hand man! He mentions that he’ll see his father later as well as mentioning that there could be no better adviser for Naruto than him. They notice a difference in Shikamaru’s health.

Ino thanks Sakura and Naruto. Kiba mentions that he’s also going to compete to be Naruto’s advisor. Shino also mentions that there is no reason for there to be three advisors. Tsunade arrives there and quickly heals and helps Shikamaru, Tsunade congratulates Sakura for all she’s done. She goes towards Hashirama saying that she’s sorry.

Hashirama mentions that she’s dragged his problems to her grandchild, he’s in fault there. She then mentions that even so, his dream lives on in all of his children. Which is the Will of Fire. Hashirama mentions that while he’s distracted they should cut the tree. The Earth is their ally and that they should sort something out.

Raikage remembers his moment with Naruto when he lowered his head, mentioning that they shouldn’t lower their head so easily, however Raikage understands that by doing so he can call that action and power. He calls his Shinobi’s to action to which he gets all of them hyped up. Mei Terumi gets into action calling her sector out.

Gaara mentions that Naruto’s already an important person in this world, from now on he’ll definitely begin to save the world. Even Kakashi is healing up and getting ready to go help. Hashirama notices that Naruto has brought everyone together as one, he’s life isn’t perfect but it’s made who he is today. His dreams will live on, Hashirama shouts to everyone to chase their dreams down. Naruto 649 ends here.

What a touching and crazy chapter. It’s been a while since a Naruto chapter touched my emotions however this chapter has definitely been one to get me somewhat emotional. Can’t wait for next week’s Naruto 650 to which Naruto and Sasuke will somehow get Obito in an attack or something, can’t wait!
