Fairy Tail 340 brings Zeref back into action. Zeref and Mavis talk on how Zeref finds this world humanless and that he will annihilate everyone to bring new life while Mavis tells him that no such thing will occur as Fairy Tail will not stop to bring Zeref down. Finally Zeref and Mavis show their true colours as they’re higher forms but will do anything to defeat each other.

Fairy Tail 340 begins as Fairy Tail returns to Magnolia, everyone cheers for them on them winning! Everyone in Magnolia cheers them on while they walk, however Gray seems to be a little down. Juvia asks what’s happening. Lucy’s landlord is also there, as well as the man on the boat that passes by, her landlord mentions for her to still pay rent.

While Erza walks, they talk about her fight within Pandemonium, her fight against Kagura as well as Minerva. Natsu brings out a bag of goodies, he wants to show them something. He brings out what he thinks is something else, he brings out the King’s crown, seems like he stole it. He looks in the bag again and brings out the victory cup which the King gave them.

Everyone cheers and seems upset at the same time that they’ve won. Romeo is given the cup, he’s told to lift it as high as he can. Juvia seems a little worried about him, she tells him that it’s not nice to make such a face at this time. He quickly smiles at her, he thinks that he should also smile for her too. She quickly gets googly eyes and falls in love with the look.

The mayor of the Magnolia stands in front of them wanting to award them something. Makarov is shocked that there are even more prices. He points to a building, they look at it and are shocked. Fairy Tail is their town’s pride, they all restored their Guild’s HQ and giving it back to them. Natsu mentions that the Guild’s back to normal.

Makarov goes to hug the mayor, he says no and that it was everyone that fixed and helped out. Makarov cries and mentions that he loves the town! Obra’s pet thing appears looking at the parade who moves out and goes to another place. We see that he goes to Zeref who’s just sitting down on a forest nearby, it’s as though he was in the Game’s themselves as Obra, which is possible!

Mavis also appears behind Zeref, she mentions that he was watching the match after all. Zeref quickly notices that he cannot hear her voice but he can clearly feel that she’s beside him. Mavis mentions that 7 years ago he was near me, Zeref mentions the same thing. Mavis asks if he’s still looking for a place to die. Zeref asks that it’s already been decided.

Zeref mentions that for hundreds of years, he’s been watching end of era’s. The fighting, hatred and evil of people. Every era he keeps on wondering that a new era, people will be cleansed. People keep on making the same mistakes. Mavis mentions that people keep on living.

Zeref replies to this that they’re not living, not in the true sense. The loving being that you would call Human is already extinct. It seems that Mavis already knew this too. Mavis asks if he’s stopped waiting. Zeref replies with a yes, which came after 7 years of thinking. Zeref mentions that if the world keeps rejecting me, then he will deny this world also. Mavis tells him that Fairy Tail will accept this world nonetheless.

This will be the gift from him to the world’s harmony and it’s regeneration. Mavis asks if there will be fighting, Zeref quickly replies with a no, because it will be a one-sided annihilation. He cannot allow anyone to be kept alive. Mavis quickly responds to this by saying that Fairy Tail will stop him, and that he’ll be the one to be killed. Both stand against each other. Zeref mentions that the final battle for himself and Natsu is drawing near. Fairy Tail 340 ends here.

This is crazy, especially since we’ve just seen Zeref and Mavis talk! For the first time, the actual story line is evolving. This is crazy. I can’t wait for this to evolve even further. Furthermore I can’t wait for next week’s three more chapter. Fairy Tail 341 titled “The Morning of a New Adventure”, Fairy Tail 342 titled “Worod Sheaken” and Fairy Tail 343 titled “Treasure Hunter”. I won’t be narrating these as they come out, as I won’t be here, however something else will be posted. When I’m back from Holiday, I’ll do them all!
