Going Merry, Straw Hat’s first official ship will get it’s own TV Special as Toei Animation have announced today that an all-new television anime special, named “One Piece Episode of Merry: Mō Hitori no Nakama no Monogatari (Literally meaning: One Piece Episode of Merry: The Tale of One More Friend), will air on the Saturday, 24th of August at 9:00 pm. The ongoing One Piece television anime series will normally air the following Sunday, 25th of August morning.
The story arc aboard the Going Merry is fully recreated with their brand-new animation, including Luffy and Usopp’s fight, plus Robins disappearance ending at the farewell of their beloved ship, Going Merry. This TV Special treats Going Merry nothing less than another members of the Straw Hats, their Nakama. What do you think of this?
