Ping Pong The Animation wouldn’t top my list of anime’s however surprisingly I’ve grown attached to it. It is about two childhood friends, Makoto and Yukata who have a natural talent for table tennis. They are both part of the local club when their coach notices Makato’s natural talent for the sport, however his psychological obstacle prevents him from progressing and developing into a truly amazing athlete. We follow their journey as they lead up to challenges from experienced players. 

Makoto “Smile” Tsukimoto and Yukata “Peco” Hashino are both great when playing table tennis, as they’re high schoolers, they can still develop into full fledged great athletes. When a talented Chinese students transfers to a opposing high school, both Smile and Peco try battle his talents.
