Fairy Tail 177 is back with an exciting battle whereby all of the main six guilds are through and ready to battle it out to see who, after Lector’s disappearance, Sabertooth seems very disturbed. Fairy Tail also find out the real plan about Eclipse where they’d like to travel back 400 years in order to defeat Zeref before he becomes immortal. Lucy gets captured in the process to which Natsu gets involved and wants to save her.

Fairy Tail 177 begins as everyone cheers for Fairy Tail being first. After discovering the ruins and talking to the dragon, Arcadios shows up who introduces himself. He goes to mention that the powers of a Celestial Spirit was needed thus Yukino  was quickly needed for the Eclipse project.

Natsu faces Arcadios and asks him what he wants. Carla remembers something about him. Arcadios leaves telling them to follow him. To which Yukino mentions that they should in order to defeat Acnologia and Zeref. They get to the Kingdom’s castle, when they enter he mentions that he’d like to say sorry to Lucy as they had made a mistake to kidnap her.

They needed a Spirit Wizard a lot that time. He mentions that the games are a lie and that each year they steal power from them in order to be used to power the Eclipse. They reach the portal and mention that it needs a lot of power to which will activate with the 12 keys and only will be opened during a full eclipse. They also mention that they want to go 400 years back in order to defeat Zeref before he was immortal.

Yukino tries to reason with Lucy in order to tell them that it’s a good plan and it needs true spirits in order for it’s success. On July 7th it will do this. Darton appears and tries to stop from the information Arcadios mentioned to go out, Darton also mentions that he will detail Arcadios, Yukino and Lucy, leaving others to go away. Natsu tries to fight however his powers are sucked by the Eclipse as he’s too close to it, thus all of his powers were taken.

Darton tells the others that the king likes Fairy Tail, and if they win they will be able to meet the king to which they could try and get Lucy to be released. Fairy Tail find out about this to which Natsu just wants to go there and kick their butt, however at this point they cannot due to the fight the next day.

They also wouldn’t want to make enemy of the Kingdom. Natsu escapes from the ropes to which Makarov stops him and tells him that he should look and see that they all feel the same way. Yukino and Lucy talk to which Lucy would like to get out from there however Yukino mentions that she’s always bad luck.

Then she mentions that when she was a child, her bigger sister was always helping her when it was her fault. Yukino explains that one day monsters came to her village to which she escaped however her sister did not. She blames it all on Zeref, that is why she wants this plan to go ahead and thus be happy with her sister.

Lucy mentions if something like that could ever happen as her the future could ultimately change. It’s the final day of the games, 6th of July.  The first to come out are Quatro Puppy, the second are Blue Pegasus, the third are Lamia Scale, the fourth are Mermaid Heel, the fifth are Sabertooth. Everyone notices are quite they are. Sting notices that Lector is no longer by his side this match.

The last to come out are Fairy Tail, however everyone notices that the there has a been a change, instead of Natsu we see Juvia there! Everyone is surprised and disappointed to see them. However Darton just see’s that Natsu may have not yet recovered. Natsu, Wendy, Mirajane and the cats are all going to save Lucy. Fairy Tail 177 ends here.

A really good episode and I’m happy to see that the anime have come back with a massive jump. Can’t wait to see even more awesomeness between these warriors. Can’t wait for next week’s Fairy Tail 178, titled “Fairy Tactician”, to which we’ll see Mavis in action helping everyone out to win this game.
