Noragami (or Stray God) is a new anime with currently only 8 episodes, it is about a God called Yato. He is a minor god who wishes to become more relevant to the current world, he dreams of having big shrines to which all could pray to. However he is currently really poor and has a long way to go. He begins by meeting a girl called Iki and a shinki called Yukine.
Iki’s soul appears every time she becomes unconscious, she doesn’t understand how this happened and thus asks Yato to fix it as he’s a god. He begins to laze around and thus they work together as he himself doesn’t know how it happened. Therefore it seems that Yato needs to become a better god in order to help Iki with her problem, the journey begins here as they face other gods and bigger dangers.
What attracted me to this anime is that the detail and animation is brilliant, plus the story is really interesting. I’d really like to see where Yato will end up with the help of Iki and Yukine. Plus it’s an anime somewhat similar to Bleach, if you like that kind of anime I’d recommend it!
