Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet (or Suisei no Gargantia) is an immense and new anime featuring an amazing and intense inter-galactic war between the humans and a plant-like alien species called the Hideauze. The Galactic Alliance of Humankind is currently engaged in a genocidal war with the aliens in which a 16 year-old Ensign Ledo is piloting a Machine Caliber, an AI-automated humanoid-shaped battle suit which is referred to as ‘Chamber’.

After failing to destroy the enemies super-weapon, the Galactic Alliance retreat leaving behind a number of soldiers, Ledo is knocked into the wormhole after an alien attaches to him, he’s sent through the wormhole only to find out that he’s been in cryo-stasis for 6 months. After waking up, he discovers that he’s landed himself on the once frozen planet, Earth, which was abandoned. Discovering this he learns about ‘primitive’ humans, through this processes he faces many challenges.

I personally think that after only 5 episodes, it has great potential to be come an amazing anime. The characters are amazing and the pace and popularity is already picking up for the anime.
