Naruto has always been able to control his inner demon, there have been certain times where his control can be faltered for example during his raging fight against Orochimaru and Pain. However as time on, especially during the the Fourth Shinobi World War, Naruto was finally able to conquer his inner evil which brought himself to a higher form with his Bijuu Mode.
