Before Naruto and Kurama became one and were completely connected, Kurama never acknowledged Naruto for what he did and how he acted. However as timed went on and he grew up, Kurama began to understand Naruto’s decisions, feelings and loneliness. From this Kurama himself opened from his shell (and cell) to provide Naruto with all the help required in order to defeat the evil upon them. 

Naruto and Kurama are a great duo, from being able to now understand each other’s feelings to fighting together for the greater good.
