Fairy Tail 159 begins with the first match between Lucy Heartfilia and Flare Corona. We see a great deal of amazing action specially from Lucy, even a new move from her, but unfortunately we get to see the upset Lucy cry after she is threatened by Flare that she could kill Asuka.

Fairy Tail 159 begins as we see how notice a large mysterious man walking towards the stage to observe the next match. We find out that the first match is between Lucy and Flare from Raven Tail. Lucy herself is excited and all fired up by the fact that Wendy and Gray both beaten but now she’ll do her best to win it.

Chapati reveals that Ivan and Makarov are both related, father and son, Yajima agrees and tells them that even if they’re related it presents no different as they are both from different guilds. The battle starts between Flare and Lucy.

Lucy goes for the first attacking, opening her first Celestial Spirit, Taurus, everyone is surprised at the fact that she’s a Celestial Mage after all that happened during the Zentopia incident. Taurus attacks but misses, Lucy then opens Scorpio’s gate, he uses his sand to attack Flare, however she blocks it with her magical hair.

This just throws the sand everywhere, Lucy tells Taurus to use all the sand to help him get another attack, he does so and it gets a minor attack on Flare. Everyone’s vision is impaired for a while as the sand goes everywhere. They all notice that Lucy’s a lot more stronger then she was seven years ago.

Lucy retracts both Taurus and Scorpio. Flare goes off flying somewhere when she gets her Hair Dog, Wolf Fang which is basically her hair painting an image of the dog, Lucy quickly responds with bringing out her Gate of the Crab, Cancer which cuts all the hair which Flare brought forward.

Flare gets really pissed, she dives her hair into the ground which allows her to catch Lucy’s feat, it grabs it then starts throwing Lucy around, at this point, the hair starts to glow red-hot, it starts to burn Lucy’s shoes. Lucy also catches flare using her whip, it catches her hand, both of them simultaneously start to spin around like crazy.

After they both fall, we find out that Lucy’s gotten hurt from her previous attack that it’s hard for her to even get up. She takes her boots off leaving her shoe-less. Everyone keeps on cheering Lucy on. Flare is shocked that her attack didn’t do as much damage as she previously thought. Everyone keeps on wondering how much Lucy’s powers have grown from Seven Years ago.

Flare gets crazy at this point, she puts her hair on the ground, Lucy presumes that she’s going to attack her legs again from the bottom, Flare points at the Fairy Tail Team, Lucy looks closer to her that Flare’s hair has gotten to Asuka, the little child. Lucy is told not to say anything, if she did Flare’s going to hurt Asuka even if it means killer her. The mystery man keeps on watching Lucy and Flare’s fight.

Flare starts to go crazy since Lucy can’t do anything, she keeps reminding her not to do anything or else something will happen to her. Everyone notices that something’s wrong since Lucy’s not even attacking back. Flare keeps on attacking even while Lucy’s on the ground, she can’t do much or else Asuka may get hurt.

Flare powers up her hair and keeps on attacking, using more and more of her powers. Lucy’s reminded of Fairy Tail, Wendy and even Gray after he long, everyone back at the stand are worried to what could have happened to Lucy. Flare quickly holds both of Lucy’s hands and feet. Flare then wonders what she should do to her to humiliate her.

Flare first comes up with a plan to take off all her cloths, but then she comes up with another plan, she wants to brand the insignia of Raven Tail, she comes up with the perfect place being over the Fairy Tail original mark, on her hand. Natsu is found to be unknown.

As Flare gets closer to marking Lucy, Natsu notices and even smells Flare’s hair which was beside Asuke, he quickly grabs it and uses his fire to burn it! Lucy gets the signal from Natsu telling her that she should do what she has to for her to win. Lucy gets ready and quickly brings forth Gemini.

She tells both of them that it’s time to do her special magic, she gets free. Gemini turns into the Lucy from last night when she was wearing only a towel, everyone is happy to see her in that form. Lucy quickly joins arms with her copy and starts to chants some words.

Flare quickly notices that her world has changed from what she sees an arena to looking towards many stars. It seems that Lucy has learned the magic of the stars. Lucy joins arms with her clone and brings forth all the stars. Saying Urano Metria, large lights start to appear everywhere above the stadium, it’s like the whole stadium is lighten up.

Looking from far it’s glowing, after some moment, the flow disappears, and there was no attack from Lucy either, she notices it herself, everyone else is surprised. Flare looks back at Obra, mentioning that it was him who nulled her magic. We noticed that most people didn’t see what had happened except Yamaji, Jura, Mavis and some members of Blue Pegasus, basically powerful members were able to notice that Lucy’s magic was nulled.

The winnings are granted to Flare who did nothing. Everyone powerful notices that they had played unfairly and thus they should be disqualified, but since there is no evidence they can’t prove anything. Natsu goes up to Lucy telling her to save her tear, she can use those tears for when they win! Fairy Tail 159 ends here.

A crazy episode, seeing Fairy Tail lose two times in a row isn’t a spectacular sight, specially since Lucy had such a great amount of power, hopefully they all get back up, can’t wait for next week’s Fairy Tail 159, titled “Bad Omen”, when we see the fantastic match from Mystogan and Jura!
