Yahiko, Nagato, and Konan were fighting in a war. The battle field was being held at Amegakure (Village Hidden in the rain) at that point, those 3 have been over powered. Hanzo, the Amekage have betrayed them with a man name Danzo. Hanzo has captured Konan hostage, and threatened to kill her if Nagato don’t kill Yahiko.
Yahiko was place as a Leader of the village ,and had a lot of responsibilities as being the leader. Hanzo demand that if Nagato doesn’t kill Yahiko, he will kill Konan so Yahiko told Nagato to kill him. Konan and Yahiko were very shocked, despite Konan knowing she would have died, she didn’t care and shouted to Nagato of not killing Yahiko. Hanzo thrown his kunai to Nagato so that Nagato could use that to kill Yahiko, Nagato was paralyzed and didn’t brought his self to kill Yahiko. Yahiko looked at Nagato while Nagato is holding the kunai, pointing directly at Yahiko.
Yahiko dashed right at the kunai, stabbing him with Nagato holding the kunai. Yahiko told Nagato that he’s the savior of the world and should live on with Konan. Yahiko then died which Konan has been freed, Nagato and Konan loved Yahiko dearly much, and was devastated to see the list of their beloved friend Yahiko.
