Fairy Tail 389 gears up for an eventful battle as the Twin Dragons, Sting and Rogue, fight against the Dark King, Mard Geer, while at the same time Gray faces off against someone who has very familiar features to someone he used to know, his father. On top of which it’s revealed that there are approximately 3000 Pulse Bombs have resurfaced and are ready to initiate in an hours time.
Fairy Tail 389 begins as Erza asks why both of them are there, to which we remember that Erza had sent a letter to both Sting and Rogue that Minerva has joined a dark guild. Sting asks Minerva to return to Sabertooth once more.
Mard Geer speaks mentioning that the worlds magic coming to an end, they cannot stop it. Erza mentions that Face has been destroyed, while Mard mentions that only one has been destroyed. Sting mentions that on their way there they saw a number of statues with strange faces on them. Mard mentions in one hour, all of those Faces will activate. Approximately 300 Magic Pulse Bombs will simultaneously extinguish all the magic on this continent.
Minerva mentions that he’s bluffing, Face cannot be remotely controlled, activating all 3000 of them simultaneously is impossible. Mard Geer responds with the only person able to do so was the Chairman, to which they have a necromancer, Keith, to which the plan on bringing him back.
Sting and Rogue mention that they should leave Mard Geer to them, while she should go and disable the Face’s. Mard is fascinated by the things they’re currently saying. They both attack missing their shots, Rogue also attacks from the back and thus is blocked. Erza, Minerva, Frosch and Lector escape the scene.
Erza mentions that Mard is powerful, to which Sting mentions that she must have him confused with Natsu. They’re pushed back. Sting goes for a for a Roar to which it’s diverted to another side. Rogue uses his Slash and is blocked too. Mard begins to which it seems like a portal of some sort, it begins to trash everything surrounding that area.
Mard calls them annoying for using Dragon Slayer Magic, while at the same time we see both Sting and Rogue get up as though mentioning that they also find it annoying that people try and hurt their friends. We move to Gray and Silver whereby they’re outside as Gray finds out that there are over 3000 Face weapons.
Gray asks Silver if he brought him all this way just to tell him this, Silver mentions that he wants to see him in despair, Gray mentioning that he doesn’t crack so easily. Gray asks if he knows about him, Silver replying with a yes, Gray then mentions that he also knows his face, voice and his attitude.
However Gray angrily mentions these things seem to belong to someone else for that matter. He asks Silver who the hell Silver is and what he’s doing with such similarities to the person he knows, possible his father. Fairy Tail 389 ends here.
A great chapter and a fantastic lead up to next week’s Fairy Tail 390, titled “A Boy’s Tale” as we clearly see that a clear explanation will be required by the demon that has taken over this body and has the name Silver. Can’t wait for next week’s chapter.

This chapter was interesting indeed now erza’s gonna go try to stop the 3000 faces from activateing lol also to we see sting and rogue fight mard geer no offense against sting or rogue but dang mard geer is one strong dark king for you lol.
Also now we see gray and silver in the last part of the chapter gray says silvers smell and everything else belong to someone else but what does it mean… next chapter we see now *a boys tale* i’m starting to wonder who silver truly is is he really grays father or is he someone else?!……….
Now this is getting more interesting but mard geer in truth is probably powerful enouph to take on both sting and rogue its obvious to he’s the master after all also i wanna know aswell who end is lol because we’re way far from knowing right now but i also wanna see the next chapter cant wait. Gray may release a power he’s never shown before when he fights silver so lets just wait and see. Interesting, I’d like to predict that Silver has been taken over by a certain demon, this demon has used Gray’s father voice, looks and memories to do what he’s done now. Gray is correct in asking who he is because he’s clearly not his father any more. I’ll be surprised to see Silver’s true demon form. Otherwise, Silver may have gone through the same process which Minerva has to which he’s still a human with even more demon powers.
And no problems, your opinions are fantastic 😛 I’d like to mention that next week I will have a few other things going on in real life, so it will be hard for me to post Fairy Tail in time, It may be a little later than usual.

this is indeed interesting, I just want to see how FT will stop face again now that they are 3000 of them. twin Dragon are fighting a losing battle here, I just they manage to atleast wear that demon king down a bit. I guess from now on will see erza and Minerva fights together as a team. silver is a very confusing character. he smells like gray according to natsu and he talks and looks like someone gray knows. who can he be?
my guess is he is Gray’s father who is working as a secret agent.

Erza is worn out, she can’t possibly fight anyone at this point. I’m sure Sting and Rogue will be able to deal some good damage onto Mard. Even if he’s powerful. He most likely has the memories of being Gray’s father, but there is a demon controlling his fathers body, that is what I think may have happened.

yes sunite for once I agree with u there. that’s and empty shell of what Gray’s father used to be. it will be more like when rukia thought espada 9, he had the memories of kayen or kaen shiba.
