Eileen Dies! Worst Chapter Ever – Fairy Tail 519

Fairy Tail 519 has been on a downwards spiral into what I can only call a shit chapter. It focuses around Erza’s abilities to somehow destroy a large meteor with a mostly bruised and broken body. Then manages to cut down Eileen, only to see that she gets stabbed and then somehow manages to push Eileen back. At which point, Eileen just stabs and kills herself because she cannot see herself killing hr own daughter.

Fairy Tail 519 begins see’s Erza cutting through the large meteor, Eileen is shocked that she’s able to do that. As soon as she does this, she heads towards Eileen. Wendy enchants her sword which allows Erza to cut through Eileen’s scale and body. Eileen transforms back as she grabs Erza’s sword. She tells Erza that this is the end, then see’s Erza smiling.

This reminds her of the past, when she was crazy and noticed that Erza as a baby was smiling also, she forced her to stop smiling, but Erza kept on smiling. Back to the present, we see Erza get stabbed, she somehow managed to push herself up to bang herself onto Eileen. Erza is bleeding, Eileen again has her sword.

She is about to do something when she herself stabs her own stomach, Eileen mentions that the mightiest sorceress in the Alvarez Kingdom seems to have been taken down. She has taken countless lives but not even able to take her own daughters life. Erza asks why to which Eileen remembers the feelings she had when she left Erza. It was her smile that kept her safe all this time. It was the fact that her smile led to Eileen loved her so much. Fairy Tail 519 ends with Eileen’s death.

Well, this chapter was awful, it built up so much hype and just killed the story with the self death of Eileen. I’m not gonna lie but this manga has gotten really bad. It might be one of the bigger arcs, but this is gotta be one of the shittiest arc, I dont know how many times I’m going to have to say this. Fairy Tail 520 will be titled “Dragon or Demon.”

First of all I doubt she will die, (its Fairy Tail after all, plus with Wendy there she can be saved.)
Second, I like the chapter, the meteor destroyed I saw that coming, Erza slashed her with sword being enchanted by Dragon Slayer Magic, makes sense.

But what I really liked was the emotions in it, how Irene deep down really did love her. And to be honest I was hoping that Irene wasn’t defeated by Erza through that “She’s Erza” BS, like she did with Kyouka, that was much worse for me.
For I was hoping that Erza would actually lose in a fight one day, because it was boring to see her always win, but this fight was close enough, because Erza didn’t win and Irene didn’t fall down to any of that “She’s Erza” BS, she is the first real opponent Erza could not defeat any way.
(I think its clear to say Irene is the Strongest Female Character in Fairy Tail).

This arc has been a mixed bag for me. I’ve enjoyed getting answers to many burning questions. Finding out more about the history and some of the characters has been great. However many of the battles have been let downs and it feels like the scale is the just too big to be handled effectively. This arc had potential to be so epic but has certainly come up short.

For me, there was no reason why Eileen would have killed herself. There was absolutely no reason for what happened in this chapter, it seems like it was all just thrown at a wall to see what barely made sense.

She was probably wracked with guilt that she was trying to kill her own daughter, probaly felt like she didn’t have the right to live or something..

There is no clear explanation to why she is doing what she is, okay she smiled, but what does that mean, sure that she smiled as a baby and couldn’t transfer her soul into the baby but this chapter was just a ball of mess for me. Explained in the worst way possible.

Hiro doesn’t explain things to the extent of other manga creators, like Oda and Kubo would, he goes off in rush sometimes, its hard for a lot of people to see why.

It looked like to me, Irene was still in the process of becoming crazy, but seeing her baby was the only thing that kept her sane, so she left her probably wanted to prevent herself from harming her. Then years later, after becoming more and more psycho, she thought the love for Erza was gone, but over the course of the battle we find out she still has love for her, so again to prevent herself from killing Erza she kills hersefl, due to her mental problems.

Hmm, I guess it makes sense after your explanation, but as a mangaka, Hiro is driving ruining his own manga, I’ve even heard a lot of different people complaining and voicing the same or similar experience…. I just can’t see where this is going…

I know I’ve heard, I thought it was an OK chapter, because solely because it wasn’t a real win for Erza, so that gets a thumbs up from me.
As for the comments, I hear a lot of people complaining a lot, that is the last time I comment on either Mangamint, the Wiki page and Youtube videos, they rant too much and sometimes some of them sound like retards to me. (Your not, you give a sound argument that’s clear).

As for were it is going, only thing I can say is lets sit back and just read on.

I think my argument isn’t that this chapter is good or bad, its that the cumulative nature of how Hiro is just sending the series to a really bad place. The past few months have just been up and down.

We can only wait to see what happens, some times it turns out for the best later on, as he has shown in the past though, like for example, remember the Eclipse Gate that goes back into the past, it was created to go back to the past, but it was destroyed before being used to go back. I thought to myself why showing if it was going to be used, but it turns out, it had a greater use later on, because it what sent the Dragon Slayers into the future, and if they had gone back and killed Zeref, think of what would have changed, their be no Fairy Tail, because him meeting and give Mavis magic is what led to their founding.

So all you can do is wait and see what happens.

That is a great way of putting it. And while there has always been ridiculous solutions to problems, this arc it really has escalated. Seems to me like Mashima created a story arc which was too big to handle.

It really started to flounder in this arc- in my opinion each arc got increasingly better- Loved the Tartaros arc. But for some reason this arc has been spotty. Can’t say it’s being rushed because this arc has gone on for an insane amount of time.

I personally hope she doesn’t die. As Eileen really caught my attention. But yeah, talk about pulling some really crap out of nowhere. I mean Erza was down. Then she pulls out a magic ass pull out of nowhere to destroy the metor. Goes down again, pulls yet another ass pull this time taking down her mother with a headbutt. I can understand that a mothers love is unconditional to her child. But the way this chapter handled it….I guess Hiro tried the “you don’t know what you have, till its gone” approach??. IDK.

I get your point, too be honest I skipped through the meteor scene as I expected it.
Although, I’m glad this chapter didn’t go the way I thought she did, would have been a lot worse. Where Erza would pull out an ass-pull win over Irene, like if Irene got taken out by that headbutt would have been even worse, given the hype for her.

Hiro has a way to write his story, but unfortunately, its done in a cheesy, quick way sometimes, its hard to take him seriously or get his way of doing things.
But through this way, he might be saying that “Irene its not someone Erza can defeat in combat, no matter what, so instead to defend Irene reputation as the Strongest Women of the Empire, I will have her be defeated by her emotions” because you have to admit if Irene really was as crazy as she claim to be, she would have killed Erza.

I feel like this chapter was terrible, I get that Eileen has past emotions on Erza as a baby, but the way it’s written has to be really bad. To be frank, I would have taken a suicide from Eileen trying to save Erza from the meteor, but this chapter just was all wrong. I my opinion, I think this fight has got to be one of the worst fights ever. On top of that, I think with all the damage Erza has taken, she cannot survive any of it. Especially all the damage from Gray and Natsu, when both went crazy. I just can’t believe how bad the series is going atm.

That is a good point about Eileen’s death, having her emotions be the one to defeat her is an interesting strategy. I am certainly curious to see how this ends and certainly won’t drop the series because of what is happening. I think the bar has been set so high with some of the previous that this one was certainly going to fall short. I guess to there are bound to be down stretches with a series as long as it is.

I liked it. I think you are wrong because you got Irene’s name wrong multiple times while trying to hate and everyone else that said they hated it seemed to follow suit. I thought that was pretty funny. So we just going to ignore that every hater here, even the op, typed amd posted Eileen even though in the manga in every language it translates back to Irene? Y’all show y’all’s stupidity and obvious non reading hate to easily. Clearly all y’all did was read the synopsis, not the actual manga itself
