This blog post answers day 20, answering who I think the most annoying anime character is, someone who gets on my nerves so much that it just makes me want to give up on the show.
So in terms of hating an anime character, there are quite a few to dislike and hate. Let’s begin with the anime Naruto, the anime and manga is great, it’s come a long way, and as the anime comes to an end, there is one specific character which I haven’t really liked throughout the lifetime of the show.
That person is Sakura Haruno. I don’t particularly hate her, I just don’t like her. She has developed a lot from the whiny individual back in the school, but in terms of weakness, she is still in that stage. In comparison to Naruto and Sasuke, she puts herself down a lot, and just witnessing that is annoying as hell. She can be good when she needs to be, but the other times she can get on my nerves.
Sword Art Online, another great and fantastic anime, but the second season is terrible, I honestly think that it’s largely due to two specific characters. Kirito and Sinon. Both go from good to amazing characters straight to the trash. They become unbelievably horrendous characters to deal with, specifically within the mid-point of the Gun Gale Online arc.
It slows down so much, which I think was a animator’s choice and not the characters themselves, but still I can’t blame anything else except how they were represented. Such a bad arc, even if it opened a few questions here and there for the anime. I just hope they couldn’t do a better job of the series.
There are many more characters I could talk about, some can get on my nervous quite a lot, but some not so much. The one that has been getting on my nervous for the longest time now is:
Lucy Heartfilia, from the anime Fairy Tail is potentially one of the most annoying characters alive. She is the definition of fan-service. The clothes the author draws on her, as well as the way she is drawn when she is around Natsu. It is one of the most annoying things that happens when watching and reading the show. Yes, some people might find it to be a way for Lucy and Natsu to have their “shipping” moment, but it’s been done so many times that it’s infuriating.
Many who watch would potentially understand where I’m coming from. On top of being a fan service for the series, she is one of the weakest and most useless characters in the series. And when she manages to “somehow” defeat the enemy, she turns into some sort of powerhouse who is able to do anything.
Nevertheless, I could go on an endless tirade for Lucy, although I still watch and read the anime and manga, I get pissed off since she always gets on my nervous. Nevertheless, which anime characters gets on your nerves? Go ahead and comment down below telling me what you think.

I liked the second season of SAO. The final story arc was especially strong (and didn’t feature the characters you loathe.)

The Asuna/Yuuki arc was really good, no doubt, brought a tear to my eyes. But the first arc of the second season, which was about Sinon and Kirito was so bad. There were a couple of episodes which fully concentrated on nothing but chatter which was so pointless that I considered dropping the show there and then.

I did drop the show there and then. I couldn’t take it anymore. Sinon was bad and Kirito got so bad. He was badass in season 1 but season 2, I don’t even want to talk about it.

I kind of love Lucy, though I know she is really annoying. It’s just she tries so hard most times and is totally outclassed in that show.
I’d have to give annoying character title to Kuroko Shirai in A Certain Scientific Railgun, her incessant ‘sissy’ comments and attempts at groping are just too pathetic.

She is a try hard, and when she is able to somehow out perform someone who is clearly stronger then her is just like… the author doesn’t even care about her, just give her the power to defeat any enemy when she is just a celestial mage.
I don’t think I’ve heard of that anime, is it any good?

I really enjoy it though it is kind of full of cliches. The main character is interesting and some of the powers the characters have are quite interesting. Worth checking out at least.

I love Fairy Tail, but what you said about Lucy was VERY TRUE.
When she goes up against enemies that she can’t defeat, she somehow “magically” gains a new ability/spirit that helps her win the fight… 🙂

But…..that’s the point to get stronger she needs to gain a new ability or a new spirit….unfortunately…to Lucy’s credit Mashima puts a cap on Lucy’s power so Natsu can shine….but I don’t find her annoying just very normal compared to the insane people in Fairy Tail so her reaction to some ridiculous things they do are not only normal but funny. But what does annoy me is using her for fan service….I think that’s why some people have problems with liking her but that’s not the characters fault it’s the author who did that. 😦

Does that NOT go for any other character in Fairy Tail? I mean… I think they all get their fair share of “magical” power boosts. For example, Natzu eating Etherion and somehow “magically” surviving AND going into Dragon Force? seems awfully convenient to me. But in the end it doesn’t matter anyway since its just an Anime.

In Bleach, the character I don’t like is Grimmjow. His personality rubs me the wrong way. He’s an ass hole and his flashback didn’t even explain why he has pride issues. In Naruto, I didn’t like Sasuke for a while. I felt like his personality early on was annoying as hell, but he got better in my eyes. Madara isn’t a very good villain in my eyes. His flashback didn’t make me like him more at all. I’m hoping this doesn’t happen with Yhwach. I don’t dislike him. I just really want to find out his motivations. I started disliking Aizen when the Fake Karakura Town Arc began. His arrogant and god complex speeches were so annoying.

I remember some bits and bobs from Grimmy’s past, maybe because of how he killed his own friends for survival was something that was ingrained in him, he doesn’t trust anyone type of thing. Sasuke was definitely annoying early on, I didn’t get why he was running away or anything. Madara was largelly influenced by third party stuff so it’s understandable, specifically Zetsu. Yhwach is beast, if he gets a flashback, or a bad one, then I shall be disappointed. I want Kubo to delivery, and some more. I think Aizen was the ultimate badass, he kind of knew waht he was doing, that is why he thought he could give such speeches, and he did them perfectly. Aizen for prez 2016!

I guess. To this day he annoys me. I really like his character design though. That’s why I was rooting for Askin to win against him and was crushed when Grimmjow delivered the finishing blow, but was fine when Askin’s Gift Ball Deluxe made Grimmjow and Kisuke on deaths door. I also didn’t understand Sasuke’s reasons for leaving. I consider Orochimaru a far better villain then Madara. Maybe because his motives were understandable. He wanted to be the perfect being, similar to Szyalapporro. I currently think Aizen is awesome. Its just back when he was with the Hogyoku I didn’t. His personality devolved into a god complex I usually don’t like. The only one in Bleach I don’t mind is Lille. Yhwach will definitely get an amazing flashback. I honestly feel like the Shinigami are in the wrong here and in turn, created an embodiment of evil that is Yhwach today. Aizen will definitely return this year.

Is it fair to think that Naruto as a series should have ended with the Akatsuki or Orochimaru as the biggest enemy? I honestly think it would have been a pretty dope 200 or so ep series. Now it’s just dragged with fillers and crap, even if we got the full story. It’s true when the Shinigami’s formed as the 13 captains, it was just thugs and murderers etc, (which I want to see a flash back off), I guess that is what caused it all, and Yhwach might be in the right here. I think this Shinigami vs Quincy is the most balanced in terms of politics and reasoning.

I completely agree on Naruto. Not that I don’t like the full story, but unlike Bleach, the anime didn’t leave us with so many unanswered questions. Yhwach said Yamamoto’s anger would get the best of him. He also didn’t want to relay on Ichigo and Orihime because they are humans. It is possible that Yamamoto killed many innocent people as well as Quincy. We know Unohana was a mass murderer and Kubo was drawn Ichibei as an evil man during his fight with Yhwach. I also agree about the Shinigami vs Quincy conflict. Something different needs to be done to not repeat what happened 1000 years ago. I don’t want all the Quincy to die. I’m still hoping Askin, Liltotto, Bazz-B, and Giselle are alive and going to survive this war. Because I honestly don’t believe Kubo will kill off all the Sternritter.

Hmmm…..well considering other characters have been in guilds longer then her and she basically just joined what? About two years or maybe one year? I don’t think she’s going to become as strong as the others like Natsu, Erza or Gray I don’t think she’s useless or weak I just think she has (like other characters in this show) a different magical ability and difference in power kind of like how Levy isn’t as powerful as Gajeel or Wendy isn’t as powerful as Natsu is. In you also have to understand in Fairy Tail it seems everyone in this particular world has some sort of magical ability and just because you have magic doesn’t necessarily mean you can use it in a battle. And from what I remember Jude and Layla were in a guild weren’t they? Jude didn’t possess any magical abilities that he could use in battles but Lucy’s mother did.

Hey, I’m currently working through the One Piece anime, I’m around 200 or so episodes off from the latest episodes. Once I have caught up, I will read through the Manga, then I will try my best to cover the anime and Manga. That is currently my end goal for when I get to the latest One Piece. It’ll take some time, but hopefully I can make some time to catch up quickly. I have been keeping an eye out for news and stuff of One Piece, so I plan on talking about it in the future too.

I would say, Happy that cat annoys me with his cocky attitude.
I don’t hate Sakura either, but honestly her constant her complaining over how she is always in the back is irrating.
As well as the “Lucy fan service”, it was fun at first, but when its been done too many times, it gets really old.
(The same with a lot of quirks in the Fairy Tail characters)

While I’m not very familiar with the Fairy Tail universe, I do have a number of characters that annoy me. One is Gai Tsutsugami from Guilty Crown. Two more would be yes, Kirito (though I particularly enjoy Sinon) and Guren Ichinose from Seraph of the End.

Ok first off there are so many annoying anime characters it’s so hard to choose so I’ll just use the ones provided for now. Naruto…I absolutely hate Sasuke! Such an emo douche! I mean how are you gonna basically spit all over everything your badass of a brother did for you! Once he learned truth that should of been it on his side of the story! But nooooo we have to drag out the mopey dopey chip on my shoulder BS to in the end have it all come full circle anyway! In fairy tail I hate Wendy’s cat charla! Her English voice is super annoying she was tolerable in Japanese but just kill her already. I like Lucy maybe cuz I’m a huge perv I dunno. I agree though sometimes they just give her a win! But I like how the guild always protects her and she’s so new it just shows how much of a family fairy tail is. Bleach I absolutely love everyone but if I had to choose I’d say Charlotte the tranny that fought yumichika. So stupid and unnecessary! Sword art I liked even the second season! It did lag a little in the middle but I still loved it! If I had to choose I would say leafa! The bro con is just too annoying and Kirito has Asuna so just let it go already and get with Recon at least he’ll reciprocate the luv! Hats all for now I’m sure I’ll think of some more soon enough!

I completely agree with Lucy being annoying, I always got people yelling at me for hating her, but honestly, she’s kind of useless and adds almost nothing to what’s really happening. I also agree that the second season of Sword Art Online was awful due to the characters. I had to force myself to complete it.
