What is the Most Epic Anime Scene Ever

As part of the anime challenge, which I’ve taken a long time to complete, this question will be answering day 19, which addresses what I think the most epic anime scenes are in anime’s, well at least from the shows that I now.

 So in regards to with this the question for this post, it is largely based on personal preference and thus is based on the anime I’ve watched. So im sure I’ve missed out on many anime’s which have even better anime moments and scenes, which might be even better.

Igneel appears to NatsuAnyways to begin with, let’s start with Fairy Tail. Fairy Tail is a good anime, although at times it gets on my nerves on how predictable and the amount of fan service it has. Nevertheless, there are some really amazing moments in the anime which reflect how the anime is headed.

One of these great moments was the appearance of Natsu’s father, Igneel at a crucial time before Tartarus and Acnologia destroyed everything. Igneel’s father apparently went missing on the year 777, but later appeared from inside of Natsu in order to fight the great evil that is Acnologia.

However, this is in fact false information as Natsu was born over 400 years ago, then later transported into the year 777 whilst the dragons hid inside of Natsu and others. The fact that this piece of information was missing all this time and we finally get to see it in the anime is fantastic, made for an intense and great scene.

Asuna and KiritoIn regards to another good anime, Sword Art Online is a great one, I really liked the series as a whole but there are some patchy parts here and there. One of the best parts that I feel like the show represented itself in a really good light was during the end of the first season. The battle Kirito and Asuna faced was done splendidly well.

After a few more episodes into the second season, It goes down hill as the episodes begin to drag. Nevertheless the episodes are great, especially within the first season, I honestly think that the first season is definitely worth watching, second not so much.

Archer Unlimited Blade WorksFate Stay/night: Unlimited Blade Works is another fantastic anime, I even featured them on this anime challenge for having some amazing animation. The scene that got me into the anime itself was actually the very first chapter, the animation on top of the intense fighting definitely delivered.

The scene I am talking about here is the fight between Archer vs Lancer where both fought against each other in a very particular way. The fight was awesome and probably one of my favourite moments in the anime, in fact I think all of the fight scenes within the anime are pretty dope.

Naruto vs PainNaruto and Naruto Shippuden, fantastic series which is coming to an end. It has definitely had some great and fantastic moments. Hard to decide which of them to pick on, but from the amazing moment, there is one that I really like.

This moment, scene or fight was the attack of Akatsuki/Pain into the Leaf and against Naruto. Naruto with his Sage abilities against the many faces of Pain was something that I found to be quite amazing. The fight was well done, even with the addition of Hinata to the mix, which in turn enraged Kurama to come out was also something I thought to be amazing.

There are many more anime’s which have some amazing and fantastic scenes, there are a lot more anime’s which I have yet to watch fully or at all. So I might be missing a few here and there.

So in terms of the best, I think that the best moments come from Bleach.

Final Getsuga Tensho by mariuskyon

This is the Final Getsuga Tensho. It’s a technique used by Ichigo Kurosaki in the anime Bleach. It is potentially one of the greatest techniques/final form anyone could have. Ichigo was able to activate this form when he talked with his inner Hollow and Zangetsu in order to obtain this final form.

When all hope was lost in defeating Aizen, Ichigo stepped up to fight by sacrificing his own powers in order to obtain an even stronger power to defeat the likes of Aizen. Although he was unable to kill Aizen, he was able to defeat and get Urahara to seal him away in the deepest and darkest place in Soul Society.

In my opinion, this is one of my favourite and best moments in the world of anime. Ichigo was unable to battle against Aizen, but then gained an awesome power which shocked and blew Aizen away.

    There are so many great anime moments that it’s certainly tough. I’d say Final Ichigo arriving to fight Aizen is definitely up there. I also really liked when Ichigo first fought with Ulquiorra after the Espada goaded him into the fight. Kirito going up against the main villain at the end of Aincrad’s certainly great as well. For Fairy Tail, I loved when Natsu broke into the (I think it was Sabretooth) base and started wrecking everyone. Epic moments are why I watch anime in the end!

      I was also questioning that moment with Ichigo and Ulquiorra, would have been my second choice I think. And as for Fairy Tail, yeah, I completely forgot Ichigo’s arrival at Saber, it was epic and definitely shocked the heck out of them.

        I’m finally getting closer to being caught up now! Just made it to volume 39. The Natsu moment was definitely a highlight for me. As it stands, Gray’s still my favorite character, but Natsu certainly gets the most intense scenes.

          Natsu is definitely the forefront of action in the series. Gray is awesome, I just want him to get a bit more showtime, on top of what he’s got. Although, I’d love for others to get more too, still a hopeful.

    From your options, I’d have to pick Bleach because Ichigo was always amazing but that final transformation was something else. In total, I’d have to pick D-Gray Man episode 56 (Delete). May not be a hero overcoming the villain but was still one of the most emotinally wrenching scenes I’ve ever watched.

      I haven’t yet watched D-Gray Man but have heard some cool things about it, emotional moments were also something I wanted to mention. Im not sure if you watch One Piece, but Going Merry’s arc was pretty emotional too.

    All of the scenes you choose are the epic. I would add Pikachu beating Raichu from Pokémon, Lelouch asked God to not be killed by his father and mother from Code Geass, Motoko’s past was revealed from a story told by an old woman in Ghost in a Shell, and and Kagome and Inuyasha defeating Naraku.

      All the anime’s mentioned are great, but I actually never got round to watching any of them, although might have watched random episodes like Pokemon and Ghost in the Shell. I’ll take your word on them 😀

    Another Bleach scene I thought was epic as hell was when Masaki saved Isshin from White. Than used herself as bait when he was too fast for her to hit with her Heilig Pfeil, then tanking the bite with Blut Vene and headshot White with a small bow.

    First time actually posting but have been on this site a lot to catch up on manga and anime! Love the 30 days challenge! Any I loved Fairy Tail the Erza pandemonium fight 1vs100! Or when Natsu beats the twin dragons by himself! Just great moments for proving the strength and heart of Fairy Tail members! Sword art I loved even the second season! Fave part was when Kirito fights the Gleam eyes and almost dies but shows off his awesome two hand skill and that’s when Asuna also finally shows her true love for him! Naruto I agree the Pain fight is just epic all around! Hinata finally confessed her love and shows it by dying to save him although it takes naruto forever to figure out that she LOVES him! Ha! Loved the Hercules saber archer battle in fate stay night! And Bleach is my all time fave so just too many to pick but if I had to narrow it down when Ichigo goes full hollow and decimates Ulquiora! Thanks for all the hard work on this site!

    I’d have to say the fights from Fate/Zero were the most epic not only in terms of visuals (Ufotable = God) and sound (Kajiura + explosions and clanging metal), but there was a mental weight behind each fight — each swing — each cut. There was a reason why someone was fighting, how they fought, and the stakes were always incredibly high. Fantastic epic tale, storytelling at its finest, and the fights are a splendor!

      Indeed, I didn’t put much thought into the series at the time, but after watching the first episode, I was blown away by the sheer greatness, work and effort they put into each scene. Well done to them, they did a great job.

    What about Toppa Tengen Gurren Lagann?No one mentioned it yet.
    The final battle from that anime is so over the top and epic it exceeded all of my expectations.

    Oh I really really should watch Bleach. I feel like it has been on my list for at least a year but then all of this new stuff pops up and I get distracted. Looks like I’ve got my weekend planned out
