Kaguya’s Story! Divine Tree – Naruto Shippuden 460

Naruto Shippuden 460 see’s the back story of Kaguya as we somewhat enter a filler arc based on Kaguya and how she came to be. We see her as she falls from the heavens when she gets chased down by the neighbouring village, this is when she uses her powers to kill the them. She gets chased down when she leads herself to the Divine Tree to gain all it’s abilities, she is also pregnant.

Naruto Shippuden 460 begins a long time ago, a village notice that there is some sort of thing fallen down. They go to see what it is, they see that Kaguya was the light with which it fell. They bring her back to ask who she is, she introduces herself, but erases some their mind in an effort to stop them asking question where she’s from.

From then on, she gets some value by the village after she gets a place to stay. She looks upon the tree as one her servants mentions that the tree is known for its demonic powers. A village nearby known as the Land of Ka wants to take over Land of Sou, they visit in order to threaten the head of the village with their armies and such, they wait for an answer later on.

They cannot fight for now because of their opponents having a bigger army. It’s night, Kaguya stares at the night sky with not even a moon in sight. Just the stars glowing as they are. Kaguya is asked if she’s waiting for someone as she stares at the sky. Kaguya doesn’t say anything except that she wants peace.

Land of Ka have come to get an answer, Tenji wants peace by the others want war. Tenji is told that the Ka village has come for war, and thus Tenji has to send Kaguya and others to safety. He goes to negotiate. But a double agent from the Sou village tells Ka heads that Kaguya is being taken to safety. The Ka folks go to Kaguya as she once again looks up to the sky.

Ka soldiers attack, but we see Kaguya’s power shown here as she pushes them back then uses her abilities to crush them into pieces, this is when blood is spilt. Kaguya runs off, Tenji and Ka heads are talking, this is when they receive word of what Kaguya has done, and that she’s a monster. They go to see if it’s correct, they decide to chase down Kaguya.

Kaguya is headed towards the Divine Tree, some arrows come by their ways, Kaguya uses her powers but it quickly fades as they is with babies. Aino tries to stop them but she dies, Kaguya has to keep on running. All while Ka soldiers enter Sou village. Kaguya eats the Divine Tree fruit, she flies up and enables the Infinite Tsukuyomi. She traps everyone, even Tenji who is the father of her children. Naruto Shippuden 460 ends here.

A pretty good chapter, although a lot of which was kind of explained later, we learned about it, but now I guess we get to see it animated. Next week’s Naruto Shippuden 461, titled “Hagoromo and Hamura” will see the birth of her children and that goes. Should be good to watch.

I like this episode but I’m curious to know this: If Kaguya trapped EVERYONE in the Genjutsu, how were other people born? The Infinite Tsukuyomi is a genjutsu which imprisons those who are exposed to that light, so is it possible that there is a group of people that Kaguya “missed” when casting the jutsu or did she release some people from the trap (lol)? Sometimes Studio Pierrot makes things that don’t make any sense to me. Hopefully the next episode will answer my question

Remember that both of her sons she gave birth to trapped her into the Moon that was later formed when both sons sealed her away. This is when life was allowed to continue.

Hmmm…doesn’t look all that interesting to me, but it certainly beats the other fillers that we had been getting! I’m finally getting further in the anime myself. Tonight I’m going to watch the next 10. The war fillers just ended so I’m finally nearly up to Madara getting revived for the first time.
