Toshiro vs Gerard! Visoreds Return – Bleach 658

Bleach 658 gets epic after the appearance of the Visored! As Gerard tries to knock everything down and destroy everything, he finds himself some of the Vizards, all when Toshiro appears, he will be fighting Gerard next. On top of which, Yushiro who tried to attack Askin Nakk Le Varr is critically hurt. 

Bleach 658 begins as Askin rolls his hair up as he begins to heal up seconds after he’s hit with attack from Yoruichi and Yushiro. He mentions that their attack will no longer kill him. Yoruichi asks if his wounds have healed up, he says that they have. By raising the lethal dosage, he’s become immune.

He mentions that he doesn’t have time for her to be shocked, if they all don’t hurry, they will be all be killed without even scratching him. Yushiro falls for this as he uses his Shunko, Yoruichi tries to stop him, when the attack hits but doesn’t work. Askin mentions that he doesn’t seem to understand when he launches three arrows at Yushiro’s back.

Yushiro lands on the ground as he coughs up blood, all while Askin mentions that they were all too late, they took way to long to realize his true power. He calls it lethal. Elsewhere we see Gerard wandering around as Hiyori and Hachi try to figure out what they should do next.

Gerard talks about digging up the others and somehow bringing them to their leader, or just killing them. But he ultimately finds them a waste of time. For such high-class fighters, they were nothing, even their reiatsu is nothing but a small dot on his radar.  He talks about searching for them, but attacks one of the side buildings where Hiyori and Hachi were.

Gerard begins to talk about his miracle when Hiyori jumps up in the air as she mentions for him to take all he’s talking about and shove it up his ass. Hiyori equips her mask (I’ve been waiting for this for so long, I love the Visored masks), she charges her cero up, this time using three of them and attacking.

It doesn’t affect Gerard but it allows for Hachi, Rose and Love to attack at the same time. Hachi uses his chocolate bar slider, Lovehis Hifuki no Kodzuchi (Fire-Breathing Mallet) and Rose her Nijuuichijou Tonbokudari (21st Article: Dragonfly Landing). It causes a large explosion, but Gerard just blocks it and pushes everyone back.

They all land on the rubble and building, Gerard mentions that he might die from boredom. He mentions that if he destroys everything, he will kill them and the building they’re on. As he goes to hit it, his hand freezes as he mentions that there are still people beneath the rocks, and thus Gerard should just stay frozen for eternity. Bleach 658 ends here.

A brilliant chapter, the Visoreds are at it, and it’s so refreshing to see their mask again. Oh man, it’s awesome. Can’t wait for Toshiro vs Gerard. And now that he’s back, wearing Quincy clothing, looking all dapper, I’m sure it’ll help in his quest to defeat Gerard. Can’t wait for next week’s Bleach 659, it’s going to be awesome.

    I lied this chapter alot.

    Askin was badass in this chapter. He has now become immune to Shunko and it was obvious that Yushiro’s Shunko wouldn’t do anything. I also liked how he displayed Yoruichi level speed when he fired three Heilig Pfeil through Yushiro’s chest. I’m not completely convinced that Askin is immune to their Reiatsu as a whole. He told Oetsu he couldn’t die, but in the very next chapter Oetsu killed him. So I’m not convinced he is immune to Reiatsu until we see Yoruichi use Kido on Askin and have it not work. Than I’ll be convinced.

    I love that the Visord are back! I knew they weren’t shot by Lille like some people kept saying. Hiyori was funny in this chapter and I liked the team work between her, Hachi, Lisa, and Love. I’m hoping they will be more focused and show use some new Bankai and Shikai. And have Mashiro come out for god’s sake. She seen gone for so long.

    I didn’t mind Toshiro in this chapter. But I’ll be honest, I kinda wished he stayed dead. The only thing I’m interested in is what Mayuri did to him and Rangiku. I usually don’t like to when fan favorites steal the spotlight. But I know he’ll need the Visord’s help to defeat Gerard.

      Well actually, in Askin fight with Nimiya, unlike in his current fight with Yoruichi and her brother, Askin didn’t consume Nimaya Reiatsu, he consumed blood that time. Like he said it all depends on the substance he consumes:
      Consumed Blood, he controls the lethal dosage of blood in his opponents bodies.
      Consumed Reishi: he controls the resistances of reishi.
      And now Consumed Reiastu: As we know now, by consuming Reiastu of his enemies, he becomes immune to the person of said Reiatsu.

      I can understand your dislike with fan-favorites, especially if their being shown way too many times, I’m the type of fan who loves to see underrated supporting characters take a shine, but I don’t see him taking on Gerard himself, he and the Visords are going to need a lot of help. All that said, I have to admit he looked really cool in that Quincy Uniform, he looks almost as cool as his sword.

    A great start for the new year, hoping this progresses, last year Bleach went at a slow paced and dragged a few things out, but still was good.

    I hope to see more of Gerard vs Everyone, I think it was smart of Kubo to switch fights, that way you don’t hear people being anxious and ask him to switch fight, its cool we get to see a bit of different fights now and then.
    Plus my favorite moment is when Hiyori called Gerard baldy and he comment back “I HAVE A FULL HEAD OF HAIR THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!” and Hiyori said “I didn’t mean it literally…”, so why does she always call people baldy anyway WHEN THERE NOT REALLY BALD??

      Ya I’m glad the year is starting off good in Bleach. It did last year too. What with Yhwach defeating Ichibei. But the off panel of the Royal Guard was bad to me.

      Anyway, I’m glad the Visord are fighting. I’m expecting a Bankai reveal from Shinji, Lisa, Love, and Hiyori. I’m also expecting Mashiro to show up and help and reveal her Shikai. As with Hachi as well. And about Askin, until he is shown being able to tank another Kido based attack from Yoruichi, I’m not convinced he’s immune to her Reiatsu. Sorry, I just need more proof.

    I like Toshiro always thought he was cool and looked epic as a zombie but at first I thought he was going to stay dead then when he was cured I still had not expected to see him again till the end no way in hell he has healed completely. I’m thinking the way to beat Askin will be combining 2 more more different reiatsu and attacking with both hitting him at the same time. I could be wrong but I think thats a good idea.

    What I liked about this chapter was the return of the visored. Other than that, nothing really interested me (not even toshiro’s return). What I am looking forward to in the coming chapters is the reactions of the visored when they hear about kensei and rose and also i’m looking forward to mashiro’s return (i wouldn’t mind shuhei tagging along with her so he can reveal his bankai).

    to be honest i don’t like main characters especially Hitsugaya, Byakuya, and Abarai…because sometimes they really annoyed me especially how they become powerful so easily just because they are main characters…i love how Hachi, Aikawa, Hiyori, and Lisa show up in the fight…and i’m really2x hope that Hirako able to help the other visords defeating Gerard not that Hitsugaya kid…agree with what Nickdunnaquatic has said, i’m more prefer that Hitsugaya and Byakuya stay dead since they already show us like 100% of their ability and i’m already bored also can predict their fighting ability and techniques…lastly i still can’t believe that Kubo let Unohana die just to train Zaraki…and yet where’s Ukitake?? those two (Ukitake/Unohana) with Hirako are the only captains that need to give more fighting scene…

      Yup. Cause you if Byakuya stayed dead, Rukia would have still fought As Nodt and she would have defeated him. But nope, Nii-sama had to still her spotlight and have people question her power level. I also didn’t like that Unohana was killed off to give Zaraki a power up. So wasteful. Especially considering she’s one of, if not the strongest Captain left after Yamamoto died. I don’t know of Jushiro is even alive or not. Hopefully he is. The only way Kubo can redeem Unohana is give her a major fight with some original Sternritter during the first blood war.

    however there are still three of five potential war powers that yet to be reveal (if Aizen wasn’t include)…wondering if Ishida is one of them…but i don’t understand what criteria u must have in order to be consider as one of the potential war power…Juha didn’t include Yamamoto because he lose his left hand, but i don’t see how Zaraki is more powerful than Yamamoto in any terms, one hit by Zanka No Tachi, Zaraki is gone…same goes with Ichigo

        still i don’t see how Zaraki ability going to change the flow of battle..well we know that Zaraki have super duper raw power and swordsmanship but the quincy is not the enemy that you can beat by swordsmanship alone especially those elite sternritter…the prove is none those elite quincy (Pernida and Lille) are defeated by using swordsmanship…and Zaraki is prove to be useless against Pernida…

          The Schutzstaffel I think Zaraki can handle is Gerard. He may be huge as hell, but I think Zaraki could last against him. Pernida is literally the worst match up for him out of the Schutzstaffel.

          I’m not sure if Aizen is included or not, but considering how powerful he’s become, he’s definitely a war potential. Zaraki was one, actually, he was number one. Until he lost to Royd and Ichigo was made one. I believe Uryu is one as well. The only other one I can think of is Orihime I know it sounds weird, but honestly think she will play a huge role in all of these. Especially considering Kubo has yet to explain her unique abilities.

            there is high possibility that Orihime is one of potential war since she is really2x good supporter…it just weird why she is not consider as one of Fullbring along with Sado…

              The fact that she isn’t a Fullbringer just proves she’s a hybrid like Ichigo. Her powers manipulate space and time. Hachi said her powers are like his new powers he gained from becoming a Visord. His unique Kido manipulate Space and Time like hers. They are just weaker. This arc showed us that Orihime uses Reishi to form her techniques. Quilge Opie absorbed Reishi all around Hueco Mundo and Soten Kisshun was absorbed. So Orihime is very unique like Ichigo.

                  They physically and verbally abused her. They didn’t do that to Sora. That makes me think they were probably afraid of her. Or like you said, they aren’t normal humans.

    Hey Guys, its “josephia” here, hope u all had a great holidays & this year is all but a blast for u, was out of town for a couple of weeks but now im back & will mostly be using this new account as of now to post comment here..

    Great chapter, & so was the last one that i didnt expect it would be out in the “boxing day”, thank you Kubo for giving us such a treat even thou i missed it..Liked “Yushiro” but i also dont truly mind that Kubo decided to get rid of him rather quickly(not so sure entirely thou), its nice to have a new character pop-up & show wat he can do but considering the fact that we still haven’t seen alot from existing characters, i thought the introduction of Yushiro “the new guy” could have made things abit complicated if given more spotlight given the fact up to now, we have a very few enemies facing off against a bunch of characters who we have yet to see the full extent of their abilities..

    Unlike most of you here, I really appreciated “Toshiro’s return”, I think Toshiro deserved a decent fight other than just being used as a measuring stick to determine how powerful the enemy is like in a fight with Bazz & Harribel…Toshiro has raw potential, & potentially powerful than any soul reaper atleast thats how he has bn potrayed but he has rarely truly live up to the hype, despite being one of the fans favourite, Toshiro was one of those soul-reaper’s who showed to still have growth, i think its only right that he gets the spotlight unlike Byakuya

    Ther r five war potentials but so far we know of three( Aizen, Ichigo & Zaraki) If i were to guess atleast one of them i’ll say Uryu & maybe Orihime since she has to count to be important for something since most of the tym is basically useless but still given the spotlight(no hate)..Zaraki is powerful than alot people give him credit for, he has the strongest Reiryoku(will power) of any soul reaper, thats wat makes him so dangerous & sort of an oddity in comparison to other shinigami, logic rarely works on him since he can simply overcome it with his shear will-power..

    And O’Steve, Ichigo couldn’t have stopped the Sokyoku’s thrust the second time as it was preparing to strike him, he was just too elevated & in high spirit to even manage just to stop the first strike from killing Rukia-(Gin even admitted later on wen he fought ichigo at fake karakura town that he thout Ichigo was more fierce then than he was fighting him now)-which wasnt meet to kill him, but ther was no way he could have stopped the second strike from the Sokyoku aimed at him, it took two most powerful captains to ignite their reiatsu into made up “kido” artifact to destroy it.
