Bleach 654 see’s the fall of Lille into Soul Society as he begins to split into a large number of flamingo-like bird, he gets pissed off and attacks everything when Kira shows up calling himself a dead man. All while he uses his Shikai to add weight to Lille’s big head. Gerard keeps on getting pushed around by everyone but doesn’t give up trying to defend Yhwach.
Bleach 654 begins as Lille’s body scatters down to Soul Society, as his feathers fall down slowly from his wings, Shunsui and Nanao still stand. She is unable to hold her legs together and thus falls down. Shunsui mentions that she really did give it her all. When Shunsui proposes to go to help the others when he also falls down.
He mentions that his own body is telling him to rest. Lille’s body parts reach through to Soul Society smashing into everything it can. Aizen also notices the commotion that’s going on. Some people go towards the largest object that fell, he asks what has happened when half of his face gets blown off.
Lille screams out that it’s hurt him so much, his halo is missing by falling from the heavens as he did. He seems to think he’s committed a grave sin. Lille thus shoots out multiple attacks all around him as he hates what had just happened. He won’t forgive Shunsui, even his death will not be enough.
As he’s lost his power, he shall rise once more after the previous 360 attacks he did releasing even more of his copies. He shall just trample on Soul Society, crush it into the dirt and rubble. He begins to sprout a large number of birds which looks very familiar to flamingos.
Someone shows up and cuts through one of Lille’s birds and explodes. Someone mentions that he was supposed to be dead, he was killed when we hear from the one and only Kira who shows up with a hole in his chest, he’s alive with his arm attached and a space where the moon can be seen through his chest.
Lille asks who he is when he mentions that he is no one but a dead man. He begins to attack Lille, the heads all land onto the floor unable to raise their own head. Kira looks at the building but all he can see is just shambles, makes him wonder how he survived. On top of which Kira mentions that there is something more going on here.
Kira battles Lille Barro next. Elsewhere we see Gerard fight against the others as he prevents them from going in while he gets beat up quite a lot. Renji mentions to not underestimate them or even defeat them. Gerard asks if he thinks that there is no way he can defeat him, if he was to defeat them, wouldn’t that be a miracle he mentions as he smiles. Bleach 654 ends here.
A pretty crazy chapter, and it seems the next stage of the battles begins now as Gerard fights against the captains and vice captains. Who will win, I believe that Gerard might have something to do with miracle, and the ability to defeat odds which are not in his favour. Can’t wait for next week’s Bleach 655 when we’ll see some more crazy fights.

Here’s what I have to say.
I like that beginning with Shunsui and Nanao. Nanao has shown to be very unique in Bleach. She’s showing humanity in a universe were humanity is rarely seen. It seems she’ll need to heal Shunsui for the time being.
I’m glad Lille survived. I like him. I believe the reason why he looks like a flamingo/crane is because he has lost his halo and wings, meaning his Intangiblity is gone forever or temporarily. The clones is because Nanao’s Zanpakuto reflected his power. He might run into Aizen.
Izuru coming back is okay. Means that the novel from the 13 Blades is canon. I’m guessing the only reason is back to to show off his depressing Bankai Kubo said he had. Looks like we will see other Lieutenants go Bankai as well. Which Includes Shuuhei, Rangiku, and maybe Isane
I find it funny how Aizen was literally left behind.
It seems just Renji and Byakuya are fighting Gerard, and they seem to be winning. But to be fair, Gerard is not only not using his Schrift, but not even his Spirit Weapon. Once he uses The Miracle, he will wreck these two. I honestly hate how the fan favorites are stealing the spotlight. I know this will happen with Askin’s fight. Renji’s arrogance is so annoying. Ever sense he got Royal Guard training, he’s been so cocky. Byakuya will probably last longer than him. but he already had his time to shine. He stole Rukia’s spotlight with As Nodt, fought five Sternritter using Bankai and defeating three of them. I rather see Shinji, Kisuke, the Visord, and Sui-Feng fought Gerard than these three.

Yeah, Lille is going to go crazy against Kira. I actually want to see what happened to him, If Kubo decides to show it that is. And other Bankai’s might be interesting to see, if they’ve not yet been killed in the background.
I don’t quite think Aizen is left behind, his time will come, and he’ll be in the middle of everything like he once was. Renji is just asking his ass to get kicked here. These high-end Quincy’s are tough as hell, they’ve beaten multiple captains and vice captains. And I think Gerard is tough as nails compared to the others, his fight is going to be awesome.
I’d literally would love to, would LOVE! to see Vizard masks once more. Oh man, it’s probably one of my favourite arcs. I really want them to go mad and kick some ass. Shinji is a beast!!!!!!

I hope Kubo explains Lille’s Vollständig. So far, he has the most unique and strange Vollständig. Sense he didn’t return to his human form, it’s possible this flamingo/crane form is a survival mode his Vollständig has if his Intangiblity is gone. Hopefully we will see their Bankai.
I didn’t mean that about Aizen. I know he’ll return and find a way to the Warhlet. I just think it’s funny he’s all alone.
Renji is so done by next week. Really though, the Visord’s mask is a perfect counter for Gerard’s brute Strength. And they all have Bankai we haven’t seen yet. Shinji is badass. He is the strongest Visord and I have a feeling he will be the Mayuri of this group. If you know what I mean.

Not sure what you mean there, but in my opinion, I think the strongest is Kensei with his knife and awesome mask. Probably the most badass character apart from Zaraki within the Gotei 13. Yeah agreed, Lille’s form are so damn random, although when we see it, it makes sense, but how can he have so many different parts to his power.

Well I believe Shinji is the strongest Visord is because he was the leader of the Visord for 100 years. Leaders are always the strongest of their group. Like Ginjou is the leader of the Xcution and he’s the strongest Fullbringer. Liltotto is the leader of her female Sternritter group and she’s been portrayed to be the strongest. Ichibei, Yhwach, and Aizen were leaders of their organizations.
During Pernida’s fight, nearly all of us thought Zaraki would be the main focus of the fight, with Mayuri helping. But when Pernida defeated Zaraki, Mayuri became the main focus. I believe Shinji I be the main focus of this fight when Gerard defeats some Shinigami. Same with Askin. I believe Yoruichi will be the main focus. Yup I love Kensei. I can’t believe he’s dead. At least I hope he isn’t. Rojuro too.

She doesn’t have much experience fighting. She’s very good at Kido and Shunpo, but fighting not really. Before Shunsui came to help her, she was scared and felt alot of pain when Lille’s Reishi pierced her leg. She’s one of the very few characters in Bleach to express the pain of their injures. She is also afraid because Lille is so powerful and not even her powerful Captain could kill him. If I was in her shoes, I would have felt the same way. That’s the humanity. Its something I like about her. The only thing close to that is when Yhwach absorbed the Soul King and gained those horrible black eyes. Askin was afraid of him. His reaction was realistic and I love that. Traits like that make them characters we as readers can relate to.

I was wondering when you’d have this up! A fun chapter and I was definitely thrilled that Lille lived since the salt in the message boards has been so real as a result. I also think that he shouldn’t have been defeated in a single blow so this chapter countered that part. I don’t care for Kira and I’d rather he just stay dead at this point, but maybe his Bankai will be cool. Either way, I feel like he should get stomped by Lille. The villain is weakened, but he’s still got some skills left.
Byakuya and Renji vs Gerard is definitely going to be hype though and probably the best fight that we’ve seen in quite a while. I agree with you Sunite that his power will likely shift the outcome of battle. I think the ability will be similar to Minority World from Toriko.

If you skip to the section there, you’ll see how epicly OP the power is. Anything that shouldn’t be is and vice versa. So, if you were ever going to lose a fight, you activate minority world and now you’re winning the fight. The ability had no real weaknesses so the villain just relented and used his own Minority World to counter Minority World. BTW, if you haven’t started it yet, you’ll probably enjoy how over the top Toriko is. They make DBZ characters look extremely weak physically. Some of the older Toriko villains can break planets with a single blow, hurl mountains across the world, jump into space in the span of a second, have a long fight in .01 seconds…and a lot of other crazy stuff. It’s really insane, but the animal violence does keep it under One Piece, Bleach, and Naruto for me as far as manga titles go.
Well, I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what Bleach has got up its sleeve next time!

Ive been at university and then went to the hospital for a tour, so been busy all day. And didn’t eat properly so somewhat tired, so took my time writing this lol. Plus I had written a preview post which covered most of what happened in the chapter. Renji and Byakuya both went from 0 to 100 with the help of the Zero squad, so they might have a few things to show off, but I think as you mentioned, Gerard will blast them out of the water. I’ve heard a lot about Toriko, never watched it, although I heard it was good. It had a crossover with OP and DBZ I think.

Man that Toriko ability is op as hell!! My god! It does seem Gerard’s The Miracle will be similar to this. I wouldn’t be surprised. All the Schutzstaffel are op as hell. Pernida can invade nerves and has the left arms power to evolve, Lille can destroy anything with his Reishi and he is intangible. Gerard will live up to the opness. How you’ve been busy Sunite. Hope your not too stressful.

Yeah agreed, these last few Stern Ritter are becoming a problem, seems like Askin will be the biggest one of all as he can kill someone so easily. Got a few submission incoming so going to be busy overall, I’ll try and post daily with the usual schedule though. Stress will be high no matter what lol thanks tho :p

That’s true. Askin is probably being saved for last because he’s the most popular Schutzstaffel and he’s fighting the main characters. Good luck. I know what it means to be stressed.

Yeah, Toriko’s completely insane and I’m not even caught up yet! (About 40 chapters to go) The author seems to be consciously trying to make his series the most powerful Shonen Jump to date. Only DBZ and Saint Seiya likely stand in his way at this point. (Maybe Medaka Box thanks to 1 or two abilities, but that’s probably not enough.
I do hope that Renji and Byakuya get to show off some moves before losing. After that, I’m cool with seeing what Shinji and Urahara have up their sleeves. I actually like Gerard and enjoyed him since his debut, but I can see why he is thought of as a bit of a bland character.
Sounds busy Sunite, but at least Winter Break is nearly here! That’ll definitely be hype and I’m looking forward to it myself. I’m going to use those 2 weeks to completely empty my backlog of reviews like last year. BTW, for Fairy Tail I finally finished the otherworld arc where the characters met other versions of themselves in a world with no magic. So, it’s kind of slow goings as each volume has a lot of holds at the library, but I’m getting there. I still say that Gray’s the best character in the series!

Ohhh Fairy Tail, good pick up. And Gray is really awesome, he’s not as strong as Natsu, but he’s really up there with a few others. The Otherworld Arc was interesting, although it was a while ago for me. I remember there being some comparisons and differences between each character. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it a lot!

In this chapter, it shows that captains and vice captains are getting the spotlight. First mayuri, then shunsui, and now byakuya. So I don’t know about ichigos group. Any who, it was great seeing a certain character again. Lilles defeat was too quick in my opinion so seeing him again was more convincing that he would lose to the likes of a soul reaper who hasn’t had much experience with a sword. I thought askin would fight next but I was wrong. Gerald is definitely going to need his holy form for this group but it’s ultimately going to end in his defeat by chapter 666.

Personally, the Captain I believe will get the spotlight is Shinji. Its been portrayed when he encountered and spoke with Gerard. His Bankai and possibly the other Visord’s Bankai will be revealed against Gerard.

Interesting chapter, & im glad that Lille didnt die at the hands of Nanao though now that i think of it, nanao’s zan. doesnt kill humans but Gods so it kinda make sense that Lille lost his Godly powers & didnt die cause he is after-all a human…& im also with “dreager” about the return of Kira, i think it would have been better if he was just left for dead..damn these “Schutzstaffel” are tough, i hope wat we have seen given the current events also somehow justified the power of the “Royal guards” even thou the got defeated…Ichibei given his abilities his probably the only individual capable of defeating the Schutzstaffel single handedly & hence why Yhwach fought him instead…Im also glad that the following battle was Gerald’s…Thou Renji & Byakuya seem to have him but i some hw think that their the ones playing around Gerald’s ropes for some reason, really looking forward to see how this unfolds thou i think like all u that they will need help to get rid of Gerald & not before they get stomped first…Really looking forward to Kisuke & Shinji against Gerald..Its about time we see what Kisuke & Shinji(the strongest Visord IMO) are made off & also hope that Gerald has a cool powers unlike Lille(Lille’s powers where rather too weird IMO) hope Gerald’s powers are atleast better clarified & i also hope that this battle doesnt turn out to be as those conflict where people are perfectly suited & counter each other in a symmetrical way. Same as how Lille happened to counter the CC who happen to have a hidden sword that can eliminate him, which means Lille against any other group, that group could have no chance of defeating him,..

I always like your opinions Josephia. I’m glad that Lille is alive. I kinda hope he kills Zombie Izuru quickly and somehow make up back up the Wahrwelt. From what we have seen with Pernida and Lille, I believe it’s safe to say the Royal Guard are not weak. They are incredibly powerful and they lost to the Schutzstaffel when they got temporary Auswählen power ups in the firm of angelic feathery Reishi Wings. We have seen what happens when the Schutzstaffel fight with their own power and they are powerful. I’m really hoping Shinji takes the lead against Gerard along with the other Visord.

Well I believe it’s Shinji, Kisuke, Rukia, Renji, Byakuya, Momo, Sui-Feng, Love, Lisa, Hiyori, and Hachi. Isane, Hisagi, Omeaida, Kyonie, and Sentaro were shot by Lille.

Now that I think about it, could anybody other than mayuri have defeated pernida? And what about lille? Could anybody other than nanao have defeated him? I wonder how yamamoto would fare against lille and pernida…

I think someone in Mayuri’s level of intelligence or higher could have down that. Also, Mayuri didn’t defeat Pernida, Nemu did. She’s the one that defeated her. That’s why I believe Pernida is alive sense Lille is alive as well. Next time we see Pernida. Shell be in her human form and will fight Shutara. Lille is very hard to kill. His Intangiblity makes him immune to most Zanpakuto. Shunsui’s Bankai warps reality, which seems to work on him. It just didn’t work cause the final act was a Reiatsu based attack that triggered his true Vollständig form. I don’t even think Shinigami Aizen can defeat Lille or Pernida.

i’m don’t much to say about this chapter..but i think “The Miracle” is almost the same with “The Visionary”…when u think something that impossible to do, Gerard can do it because that’s why he is the miracle…the only difference between Gerald and Sternritter V (already forgot his name) is that Gerard’s power depends on what his opponents think that its impossible…in other hand, the V guy’s power depends on what his imagination…

Ya just like Mayuri and Zaraki would have died if Nemu didn’t get her power up to force Pernida into an endless regeneration, Shunsui and Nanao would have died without her mother’s Zanpakuto, Shinken Hakkyouken to strip Lille of his Intangiblity.
