Bleach 649 see’s a possible end between Lille v Shunsui as Shunsui does his best to end the life of Lille while noticing that his Zanpakuto, Sakuranosuke has appear. While this occurs, we see Lille fall deeper and deeper into Shunsui’s Stage Three, however releases his power which strikes down Shunsui, even after his head has been cut right off.
Bleach 649 begins as as Lille begins to realise the situation he’s in, realizing that he cannot fight what is happening, he falls deeper and deeper into the sea created by Shunsui. Even after trying to swim through it, nothing works. Shunsui tells Lille that reaching cold water is the death of anyone as escape from it begins to slim down.
Someone else begins to talk mentioning a man makes a promise but doesn’t keep it, and a woman that couldn’t forget her love for him. We finally see the personification of Shunsui’s Zanpakuto, the same as within the Zanpakuto Arc. We’re revealed to Sakuranosuke, while Shunsui greets her as Sakuranosuke .
Sakuranosuke mentions that he seems to be getting quite familiar with her, as she mentions that he only comes to play when he feels like it. He asks for her to forgive him as she notices how his kimono’s all torn up. This is what will happen when he wears something that belong to another woman, he calls her mean for just saying that.
She might be mean but she is still his zanpakuto, she has taken every whim and fancy of his and have sworn to be by his side till the end. Lille asks who he’s talking to. Lille asks if he had though that he’d had actually won, and killed him. As if something like a Shinigami’s Bankai could even kill him. Lille goes for an attack when Shunsui steps in as he mentions that the cruelty of a woman’s love that goes unknown to a man.
And what shines at the end of the tunnel is the white thread that symbolizes regret, the least he can do is to cut the thread that is circling around Lille. Shunsui finally mentions that this will be the end of Lille, the end and last stage of his attacks. Thread cutting scissors on a bloodied throat. Shunsui steps in and cuts right through Lille’s head.
Lille explodes as he falls deeper and deeper to the depths of Shunsui’s Bankai. Shunsui also bleeds as he falls down on Sakuranosuke ‘s lap. To think he’d get a chance to sleep on her lap he mentions, using his Bankai once in a while might be good, he goes for a kiss when he tries to poke his eye out. He dodges when he mentions that it’s the only eye he has left now.
Sakuranosuke mentions that they look the same now, it’s strange. But either way, they’ve won, it seems that she’s being very docile today. Shunsui goes to say something important when a large light pierces through Shunsui’s body! Even without a head, Lille Barro still lives, he creates a head made of light as he mentions that a Shinigami’s Bankai isn’t something that can kill a messenger of God! Bleach 649 ends here.
A magnificent chapter indeed, and with no end to Lille Barro, after such a powerful attack from Shunsui, he’s definitely in trouble. It seems like Lille will most likely kill Shunsui during this battle. Nevertheless, this is Shunsui we’re talking about. I can’t wait for next week’s Bleach 650!

I assumed kubo will pull off something more interesteing for Lille, I’ve seen enough shots fired @ shunsui. only for higher to survive harmlessly. I wonder if the other female of shunsui s sword was appear….this form is possibly the last before Lille dies

Yeah, I also think that, although it might be a while till Lille dies, he has no head but he’s created one as seen in the last page. It’s incredible to see how Kubo is really punishing both of these characters.

Barro currently seems unkillable, even after being hit by Shunsui’s bankai, he’s still alive. And even without his head, he still lives. It’s going to be hard.

Makes me wonder if Jushiro will come and help Shunsui or not. Its a possibility but I’d like to think Shunsui has more Bankai techniques to use.

I have no idea. I almost forgot that Mimihagi was keeping his illness from killing him, bow that he’s gone, Jushiro is most likely dead. I’m guessing will see his Bankai when Kubo shows us the First 1000 year blood war. Along with Unohana. Guess Shunsui is on his own.

Hard to guess, but he might have found someone, or his vice-captains would have stayed with him helping him out. Nevertheless, I would love to see the beginning of this blood war, see all the old character in their younger forms.

Ya true. Wouldn’t Rukia, Shunsui, Kyonie, and Sentaro be sad? Also, remember when the group stopped and asked which lieutenants are still active? That being Rukia, Renji, Nanao, and Momo. That means Lille shot Isane, Omeaida, Sentaro, Kyonie, and Shuuhei. Do you believe he meant the Visord as well? Cause technically they aren’t Captains or Lieutenants other than Shinji. I believe they separated with Byakuya, Sui-Feng, and Yushiro

That is a possibility, I don’t remember who got split up, but it’s likely that the others were split up for a second and might be facing some minor quincy members. Or that they’re genuine lost, or have been shot down. Any of those reason could be. Man, Kubo has been leaving so many people out.

Yes he has. And actually, the only Quincy left are the mia Sternritter like Meninas, Candice, NaNaNa, and BG9. And one more Quincy, a female one with pitch black eyes that was speaking with Jugram in chapter 544. No idea how all these characters will fight or not.

He’s still in Bankai, wouldn’t the blow to the body hurt ritter X as well. Also I think he has more ‘dans.’ If his abilities revolve around games & such there’s way more that Shunsui should be able to do.

Oh yeah, thats actually true, if one gets hurt, the other gets hurt too. Yeah I think Shunsui can pull a few things here and there, but if Shunsui is too hurt, then I guess it’s over for him too.

I like how Shunsui was talking with Katen Kyokotsu. Basically making the Zanpakuto Rebellion arc somewhat canon. I can’t believe Lille survived having his head cut off and shot Shunsui through the stomach.

Yeah, I guess Kubo had to work on the Zanpakuto’s actual looks on top for the filler arc.Lille is one hell of a tough guy, and Shunsui getting stabbed the way he did, just seems really bad, on top of that he’s on Ohana’s lap, which is even worse, it’s like he’s on his death bed. But I guess the battle isn’t over yet.

So he really isn’t as arrogant as we think. Although not as threatening as Pernida, she’s still the most dangerous Schutzstaffel so far. But Lille is more versatile than I’d expected

Hmm I think they both have their own positives and negatives. Pernida can’t fight in all environments while Barro can. Agreed on versatility, although I also think that a fight between Pernida v Barro, Barro might win.

Probably. To be fair, we haven’t seen Pernida’s Vollständig yet, and when we do, her abilities will be crazy while still being nerve based. For now I’ll say Lille. But when it comes to Schrift vs Schrift, I’ll say Pernida. Just cause if she fought Shunsui instead of Lille, I don’t believe she would be forced into Vollständig like he was. Just cause her Schrift The Compulsory can do so many things to counter Katen Kyokotsu’s games.

I honestly think that if Shunsui v Pernida happened, he would not survive, she would just win dominantly. Although since Mayuri has done research in Quincy tech, he has an upper hand.

I think the other person from shunshui will come out,to defeat lille because she hasn’t come out yet,or maybe his zanpakutou will help shusui fight lille or maybe fused with him,since shunsui hurt so badly,I think the ending battle,they will die together because his bankai is double suicide

You mean the second girl, the shorter one? I think that might also happen, I think there might be another layer to his bankai which might be even stronger. The end of this battle will come soon enough, although I think Shunsui has one more trick up his sleeve.

Oh my god! You could be on to something! XD Its very possible that the little girl is his Shikai, while his Bankai is the woman. After all, isn’t the shadow woman that’s hugging Shunsui when he first released his Bankai the older woman Ohana?

It could also mean this, we did see the child’s hand when he activated it and was brought into the game. I guess Kurosaki Z might be onto something here.

It’s very possible. Unless the girl will appear later as a counterattack for Shunsui. I hope we get Lille’s flashback along with Shunsui, so far, he’s the least interesting Schutzstaffel, but I hope he becomes more interesting personality wise.

There’s some debate over whether of not “Sakuranosuke” is her name, or what she is calling him. Some people are saying it translates to “Sakura Boy.” (There may be a joke there, too, because Sakura Boy is popular brand of sake, and possibly a Kabuki character.) Kyouraku mostly calls her O-Hana, Honorable Flower, so that’s out there.

This chapter made me think that somethings are forshadowed.Like when Sakuranosukewas talking about the kimono or when Sakuranosuke said katanas are not compatible with shinigamis. (Side note: “sakura” can be translatee as “flower” so it was nice to see kyoraku say my flower). Anywho kyoraku has a long sword called a tachi but he also has a shorter sword called a wakizashi that is not a katana (perhaps the spirit of his shorter sword will appear next chapter). Also this chapter may have forshadowed some clues to ichigo’s bankai. This is the first time we as readers are seeing the bankai of a dual zanpakuto. It sure is strange. Lille did not really stand out too much this chapter but he is a still a threat so next chapter should have him do something useful like force kyoraku to use other moves. I noticed that while kyorakus shikai has a theme of childrens games his bankai is more towards the mature audience with the “sharing wounds” and “bloodied throat”.

Whatever these acts are will be immensely dangerous for Lille and Shunsui himself. The first four acts clearly are all Shunsui needs to kill his opponent. I mean, the cuts off your head in the fourth act. But Lille did say his Vollständig leaves him intangible. Which means physical attacks cannot kill him. But the first, second, and third acts of Shunsui’s Bankai did injure him, while the fourth was physical, so makes sense that act didn’t injure him.

Yeah maybe shunsui will combine the child’s play and the theater (play child’s play in a theater)to become another strong move that can finish lille off until nothing’s left,or fused his swords become one powerfull swords,because it can regenerade his head so maybe he can regenerade other part of his body as well

Tite said that in this arc the pink haori’s origins would be revealed. Calling her sword ohana… having two of them, one is a woman, the other, a girl… maybe it’s related to a dark past when he had a wife and a child or something like that? Can expect anything from Tite, though. And let’s not forget Barro’s letter as stern ritter, X from The Exorcist. It’s pretty obvious he has a lot more to offer, and that bothers me, because shunsui seems to be in quite a bad shape to prolong the battle any further. And what about Nanao? She left the rest to help Shunsui didn’t she?
