Karin’s Infinite Tsukuyomi – Naruto Shippuden 431

Naruto Shippuden 431 see’s another useless Infinite Tsukuyomi episode as we now concentrate on non other then Karin, from her childhood when her mother was taken away to the moment we see Sasuke smile for her when she’s about to die. Seems like we’re getting some repeated moments here and there, typical Naruto series.

Naruto Shippuden 431 begins with Karin’s Infinite Tsukuyomi beginning as Karin’s mother is taken away to be used by the village and hospital. She waits all day but she doesn’t return, someone else does who also drags her to the hospital where she finds her mother dead there.

She is quickly replaced with her mothers work description where she has to help people who are wounded to heal as quickly as possibly by biting onto her. She does this for very long that marks begin to appear on her body. She begins to get used to it as people use her more and more.

Even in a battlefield, she’s forced to help every man. She’s dragged into the chunin exams where she is forced to help her friends, however when she’s given a scroll a large bear appears, however Sasuke appears and saves her, it seems that he didn’t want her scroll. She disappoints the village when she gets back.

She’s sent to the north wall where she has to do the same job, but for even more people. She knows that she will die if she keeps on doing this. However, Orochimaru appears and takes her away. Her abilities are tested and it’s usefulness is calculated. She keeps on helping more and more people.

Throughout her journey, she grows stronger when she see’s and finds out about Sasuke who seems to be Orochimaru’s favorite. However, later on we see a dead Orochimaru, while Sasuke recruits Suigetsu, Juugo and Karin for his work.

Whenever Sasuke is hurt, she’s there to help him again and again. He reveals his plan to destroy the Leaf and become the Leaf Hokage. We see she gets captured by the Hidden Grass, she encounters a large explosion when se wakes up to Sasuke trying to help her, she asks for him to smile when Naruto Shippuden 431 ends.

A pretty weak episode, all these filler and crap episodes are making me real upset, it’s ruining the whole mojo of the Naruto final battles. Without these stupid fillers, the arc would be so much better. Nevertheless, Naruto Shippuden 432, titled “The Loser Ninja” will focus on even more crap, as we look into Tsunade’s Infinite Tsukuyomi.

Yeah, this episode sounded pretty terrible to be honest. Karin realllllly did not need her own episode and the fillers are certainly stacking up on each other. I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that the series has 200+ fillers by now.

Just to offer another perspective in an otherwise barren critique of what actually was a fantastic episode, may I suggest that Karin’s story is a metaphor for the historical and modern sexual exploitation of women, and that the pain all of us felt as Karin allowed Sasuke to bite her WITHOUT HESITATION is in fact revealing the immense strength and unfathomable will-power of all women throughout history and today who actively resist the temptation to hate the world and their past and seek equality, peace, strength and happiness despite everything that has told them otherwise.

    Thank you.
