Bleach 641 see’s Mayuri and Nemu talk about how they can fight together in order to defeat Pernida, however after initiating their attack, Pernida uses an ability to restart his hands after Mayuri tried to freeze them. Both Mayuri and Nemu now face a problem as Pernida has the personality and nerves similar to Zaraki, he gets ready to attack them down.
Bleach 641 begins as Nemu gives Mayuri a flesh supplement, she actually mentions that the reason she came out was to give Mayuri this. He injects the liquid inside it into his arm and his hand begins to reform. Mayuri asks if she had realized it from that start that he forgot the flesh supplement.
Nemu had noticed that when they were attached, he didn’t touch the drug stand, which he usually takes from before fights. He realises that she does observe him, calling it creepy. He begins his attack once more when he activates his floating shoes with even more force.
He goes towards Pernida who begins sending out arrows, all three arms begin sending in arrows while Mayuri dodges all of these. He contacts Nemu and tells her that his strategy is to scatter highly concentrated narcotics over the wide area he’s in. He doesn’t know if it’ll work, but the arrows have nerves attached to them.
With his drugs, he can stop the arrows but it seems that it will affect them too. He tells Nemu that her job is to inject a nerve coagulating agent directly into his nerves, it won’t block its communication or block its power. In fact it will force all organs and nerves to be forcefully frozen.
Thus when the drug reaches Pernida, his body will stay as is, its heart and mouth will all stop moving. Mayuri also confirms that Pernida has a blood system flowing inside of it, thus the drug will most likely effectively affect him. The nerves on the ground have been numbed by the narcotics Mayuri spread and thus allowed Nemu to walk over them.
She injects the coagulant into a fallen arrow, which then quickly begins to travel from Pernida to Pernida, it begins to freeze its body. The original body has been frozen, the second one is also down. However, on the third, Pernida quickly cuts his own finger in order to stop the coagulant from reaching it’s entire body.
Pernida tells Mayuri that this is not enough to kill him. Mayuri realises that Pernida is speaking a lot like Zaraki, he realises that controlling Zaraki’s nerves, he’s been able to absorb information from the object it touches. If Pernida’s nerves have evolved up to Zaraki’s level, Nemu’s speed won’t be enough to match it.
This means that Nemu seems to be the next target by the hands of Pernida. Out of nowhere, Pernida bursts out of the shell which was put on him. Mayuri shouts at Nemu to quickly get out of there. Mayuri realises that he’s used the Matai Fukuin Shoutai power in order to release from the trap. Nemu is on the ground with a shocked face, unable to do anything as she tries to jump. Bleach 641 ends here.
A fantastic chapter, Mayuri and Nemu’s relationship is being tested here, and even after coordinating an attack against Pernida, it seems that he’s coming back even stronger using Zaraki’s nerves. I honestly can’t wait for next week’s Bleach 642, which will show the continuation of this awesome battle.

Shimata!!! Pernidda absorbs the essence…!!! She must have taken Zarakis characteristics…!!! And Matai Ashisogi’s layer power was absorbed. What can Nemu do? The only thing I can imagine is if it follows Gremmy’s power…like if it has a limit…which I doubt… Damn…Nemu has to die.

Cmon, I don’t want Nemu to die. But it seems it the most likely way to make Mayuri lose his cool and die.
What if Pernida has also tapped into Mayuri? After all he has gotten him before.

I think Mayuri’s nerves aren’t as strong or useful as Zaraki’s. That’s why maybe Pernida might not use his nerves. On top of which I think Nemu will try and save Mayuri as she tries to jump here. She’ll probably die in the next chapter. Unless something significant happens here and now.

I’m getting the feeling both of them will die. But Nemuri will be first sadly. Mayuri isn’t walking away from this fight alive. I can’t believe Pernida can use the Left arms powers like this. She can make her clones as strong as Zaraki, which is why that clone spoke like Zaraki, while Pernida herself gained information from Mayuri’s modified Bankai, and now she has the ability to rebirth herself and be completely immune from this drung. I like that hie Hirenkyaku shoes can fly.

But let’s look at it. Where has Pernida been getting his improved speech from? I don’t think it would be from Zaraki.

You have to remember what Pernida has been saying sense this fight with Mayuri began. She is not completely the left arm. She has her own identity as a Quincy. Just like Jushiro has his own identity as a Shinigami from Mimihagi. She has abilities like any other Quincy. She has Schrift, Vollständig, Hirenkyaku, Reishi Bow, Heilig Pfeil, and even Blut Vene (when Zaraki attacked her a 2nd time, she didn’t get injured) She has a humanoid form. And I’m assuming transforming into the left arm severely decreases her speech. But sense she’s using the left arms power, she can evolve her speech quickly in this form. You Know What I mean?

Yeah, I get what you mean. I didn’t think of it that way. At this rate Nemu is going to go and get gone. I’ve been thinking. With only 5 elites, the sternritter might not go round for the shinigami. I feel there is some resurrection/reanimation still left to be done.
In addition, do you think Yhwach got Gremmy’s power. You know with the “I shall imagine a world where there is no imagination”.

Well that’s just my opinion about Pernida. The clues Kubo leaves In this fight leads me to believe that. Anyway, originally, it was thought that when a Quincy dies and their soul goes back to Yhwach, he gets their Schrift. But that’s not true. He only gets the Soul he left them to gain their Schrift and Vollständig. He cannot use any Schrift abilities from fallen Quincy like Gremmy’s The Visionary or As Nodt’s The Fear or Bambietta’s The Explode. Those are the Quincy’s unique abilities, and they cannot be used by Yhwach. He can take their powers away, he just can’t use them. But I do believe their is at least one Quincy on Yhwach’s side we haven’t seen in a long time.

Ya Pernida only took information from Mayuri’s modified Bankai, not himself like she did with Zaraki. God I wonder how they will die. Knowing Pernida, something horrible.

Pernida only needed to use his nerve’s on Kenpachi’s arm, to evolve into him. He did the same thing to Mayuri’s arm. So wouldn’t Pernida have at least the potential to “evolve” into Mayuri? I’m getting the impression that Nemu and/or Mayuri will die.

In my opinion, I think Nemu will, Mayuri won’t. Maybe Pernida has learnt from Zaraki only because of how his nerves are much stronger. Plus, I think Pernida may have learnt abilities from Mayuri’s bankai when he was engulfed.

That’s what happened. Pernida used one of her clones to get information of Zaraki to become powerful. Than she herself gained information of Mayuri’s modified Bankai when she was eaten. That’s why she is shedding her skin, to become Immune to the drug.

In a sense yes. If Mimihagi can stop anything, the left arm can copy a d evolve her clones with her nerves. Pernida didn’t use this power with her fight with the Royal Guard because she wasn’t using the left arms power. Now she is. I’m expecting a Nemu flashback, and both of them to die.

Maybe we will see Nemu’s bankai! I wouldn’t be surprised if Mayuri & Nemu were saved by Urahara..or someone unexpected like Uryu. It would be funny as hell if at the end of the fight pernida is killed by Zaraki’s Bankai or by Aizen

That would definitely be weird. Although, with the foreshadowing of death showing much earlier in the fight, I can say that they will be saved, but one of them or both will die. Kubo knows this needs to happen. He already had to change Byakuya’s death to false because of threatening fans. So he should kill off alot of characters.

This chapter of Bleach lets the reader know that Pernida is only going to get stronger unless someone (most likely mayuri) will figure out a way to devolve Pernida, perhaps by trickery. But my question is how does one cause a species to lose its natural advantages?

Kubo has foreshadowed that he will lose. Him dying is an option. I still think he will. Kubo needs to kill of more characters. Mayuri fits the bill. Also, I’m sure there are others better suited to rebuild the Soul King. Like say, The Royal Guard? Especially Shutara Senjumaru.
