Naruto is one of my favourite anime’s, it has a number of great and fantastic battles, so here are my top 5 Naruto battles based on the anime and manga. The Naruto manga series ended with a total of 700 fantastic chapters, so here is an article of what I think are the top five Naruto battles which may or may not include fights yet seen in the anime.
Top Five: Naruto vs Pain
The battle between Naruto vs Pain was definitely something to spectate, it showed Naruto’s new abilities and passion to save as many people as he could. He was able to cope with the power Pain controlled by Nagato was able to swiftly and amazingly able to kill a large number of Leaf Ninja’s, then through Naruto’s words he was able to bring everyone back to life. The fight even went as far as to bring a large-sized Kurama to the stage when Naruto nearly ripped his own seal open, that’s when we met Naruto’s father for the first time.
Top Four: Gaara vs Naruto
The one fight that made me happy to be a Naruto anime fan, it was probably the first amazing fight which triggered Naruto’s determination into making everyone he see’s his friend or family. He saved both Sasuke and Sakura and even made Gaara open his heart to a number of things, even helped Gaara land the Kazekage gig as well as made him learn and help his own village, friends and family what it means to become true and happy. I really liked this battle.
Top Three: Sasuke vs Itachi
Sasuke vs Itachi was an on and off for most of the first part of Naruto, Itachi made sure that Sasuke grew strong however in turn made him turn evil and follow a path that he never intended. In turn it made the Sasuke vs Itachi battle even more awesome when Sasuke was able to kill his own brother for the first time. However, as time went on, Obito intervened and Sasuke learned a lot about Itachi. During the Edo Tensei arc we learned a lot about them, even after his death he was able to tells Sasuke to live for the village, even if it’s a battle we’re talking about here, it was a lot more than that.
Top Two: Naruto vs Sasuke
Naruto vs Sasuke has always been a fight to set your eyes on, ever since Naruto and Sasuke fought at the valley, Naruto and Sasuke went from comrades to rivals to Naruto promising Sakura to bring him back. These fights were more of a race to who’s stronger and who can become stronger quickest. Naruto seemed weak most of these times but when Naruto and Sasuke fought at the end of the manga chapters, it was truly something awesome. After they’d sealed Kaguya and defeated Madara, it was their turn to find out who is correct, it turned out that there is more here then what we can see as they finally reconnected once again. Less of a battle and more of becoming brothers.
Top One: Naruto and Sasuke vs Madara Uchiha
Naruto and Sasuke teaming up is one thing, but battling the greatest Uchiha alive is another thing. Madara Uchiha couldn’t win against Hashirama, however after being brought back to life and literally trying to kill everyone and absorbing the Sage of Six Paths, it became apparent that Madara could not be defeated so easily. So with Naruto and Sasuke working together, there was a small chance that Madara could be defeated. Naruto and Sasuke somehow use extraordinary powers to kick his ass.
Memorable Fight: Naruto and Sasuke vs Kaguya Otsutsuki
To me Kaguya Otsutsuki is a force that cannot be defeated. It’s something that Naruto and Sasuke could have not completed alone. Their help from Hagoromo, Obito, Kakashi and others is the thing that allowed them to defeat her, not kill though. It’s known that such a large force cannot just vanish, so she’s definitely still alive possibly planning her way back. But still with Naruto and Sasuke around, it’ll be really hard for her seal to break and rule over humanity once more. I mentioned this as a memorable battle as it’s one of the better fights in Naruto which deserves a spot here but isn’t quite right that it should be the first spot. There is more of Kaguya that we need to know in order for me to put her in a top 5 Naruto battles.

I’ve gotta say, all of these are amazing fights for Naruto. I especially liked Sasuke vs Itachi and Naruto vs Pain. Emotional fights are always my favorite. 😉

I know right, Sasuke vs Itachi started out really strong, and since Itachi was part of the Akatsuki, we knew that he was a bad guy and always wanted Sasuke to win, but after finding out his past and what he went through etc, I guess it’s something that became important as Itachi was a good guy fighting for the wrong reasons. Pain/Nagato also the same, just being manipulated to do bad things. They truly are, emotional fights I mean.

Ya man. It reminds me alot of Bleach in a sense. The government of the central 46 is somewhat unjustified with its ruling. With Itachi, he had to kill his entire clan to stop a rebellion, and stop neighboring nations to invade the Leaf like the Stone and Mist. He did what he had to do for his nation. Even the 3rd hokage was guilty for making him do that. Same with Nagato. His nation was always in war because it’s so small and in between two larger nations. Than Obito manipulated him and Konan to create their group Akatsuki, into a criminal organization that even Orochimaru joined.

Yeah exactly, a lot of this is just large number of misunderstanding and because of their prides it’s hard to get them to stop what they’re doing.

Basically. Even Obito to an extent. Didn’t he turn good just before he died? Kaguya killed him right? I don’t remember.

Yeah Kakashi, Naruto, minato all turned him good. He didn’t die straight away, he actually lived a little longer to help Kakashi and everyone kill Kaguya.

You have selected the best battles in naruto.it is tough to select top 5 as every almost every battles are good in the series.I think deidara vs sasuke,jiraiya vs pain,team asuma vs hidan and kakuzu,sasuke vs eight tails were also great battles.But still u selected the best 5 among them.There will be more battles to come in ongoing naruto as seventh hokage manga series as akastuki is going to be reorganised.

Yeah it’s somewhat hard to pick the best out of the best. But fights which included Hidan and Shikamaru was also really good, I think I wrote this list as they were what I thought were the best, and someone else would have thought the same or different. But you’ve got some awesome fights in there with Deidara and Jiraya etc. 😀

I just started watching Naruto recently, yeah! i took my time hehehe! im around ep 300…(i went all marathon on it since im done with my exams & im on a break), so far my best battle was sasuke Vs Itachi & Jiraiya vs Pain, im still watching thou, so maybe i’ll find some other good ones thou as “Bijoy puts it, “almost all battles are good in the series”, deidara vs sasuke was also quite a good one since i always thout Deidara to be rather weak to be even a match for sasuke but this battle made me view him differently…Btw, all battles that involved the akatsuki members were rather very interesting since they were so difficult to takedown…

Haha it doesn’t matter if you take your time or not, it’s a matter of getting there 😛 Just a small warning, that you will encounter quite a few fillers, I suggest you skip them as they’re usually nothing to do with the actual story. They will just get you off the hype train. Yeah he’s got it right 😛

The confrontations in Naruto r rather very interesting, everybody thinks abt his own way of bringing the shinobi world to peace in his own way & somehow each of them have a different approach of coming abt it…Im with Madara, “infinite Tsukiyomi is the absolute solution, it is the very definition of paradise, isnt it same thing as how heaven is going to be?!
i guess i would have bn a villain in Naruto shinobi world, hehehehehe!

the first awesome fight in Naruto series goes to Gaara vs Rock Lee…that is still my favorite battle between genin level follow by Naruto vs Gaara and Naruto vs Sasuke… then Jiraiya vs Pain, Naruto vs Pain, Tsunade & Jiraiya vs Orochimaru & Kabuto….Sasuke vs Itachi…damn…there are so many epic battle

Yeah I was also questioning that one too, I absolutely love that fight, although I feel like that story line grew into Sasuke and Sakura getting involved and thus Naruto vs Gaara, so I somewhat mentioned in it that one. Definitely, there are many awesome fights, so many to count.

Kakashi vs Obito (animated version) should definitely have been on this list, possibly even in the #1 spot. Super powers alone do not make a great fight, although I did enjoy all 5 of these^ fights. Nothing beats the kind of sick hand to hand combat that took place in Kakashi vs Obito. Even the way it was mixed with flashbacks from their childhood sparring was epic. There was trickery and well timed (but not over the top) ninjutsu.. hell, Obito even used kakashi’s hand to perform the seals for his own ninjutsu. It was the perfect shinobi fight imo.

Hmm I know what you mean, the battle between Obito vs Kakashi was awesome, but there was one thing that ruined it for me. The anime went on and one about Rin that it just bored me out. I already knew that Obito loved Rin, and would do anything for her, that’s why finding out that Kakashi was the cause drove him to doing what he did. The anime itself repeated it so much that the fight became stale for me, I just couldn’t give it any credit after that. I love the fight but the way the anime was put together just didn’t ignite my taste buds. I agree that it was awesome, in the manga. But Shippuden ruined it for me with the crazy amount of fillers it dashed into each episode.

I also love the fight between Naruto and Gaara. That scene made me cry for I don’t know reason.
