Ukitake and his zanpakuto Mimihagi are next in line to replace the Soul King to try and return everything to the norm. It’s unsure to how he’ll do this but whichever way I’m sure that he’ll have to hold on to life in his weakened condition. Ukitake has never revealed his power before, thats why this is so important. Both to everyone of that world and to the Captains and Vice-Captains who can still battle.

I doubt Kisuke or Aizen or any of the limbs. If Kisuke didn’t even know about the gods and his limbs, they could not be one of them. If anything Yachiru and Rangiku are sense they are mysteriously gone.

I believe after Ukitake is fully the Soul King, or close to it. The limbs thing will become irrelevant, I believe that it nay be Kubo just trolling us trying to connect those two things.

So I’m still on the process of finishing the Bleach anime series and I’m surprised that this sickly side character now gets a major screen time in the manga.
