Bleach 607 felt like one hell of a battle as Ichibei vs Yhwach keep trumping each other with new and unique attacks we’ve never seen before. Ichibei gets serious mentioning that he can’t defeat him at his full strength as it would tarnish the image of Quincy. Yhwach is the first to spill blood after Ichibei reveals a zanpakuto beneath his brush.
Bleach 607 begins with Yhwach getting up asking how he thinks he feels as Yhwach then mentions that the leader of the people that watch over the Shinigami, he has halved his power due to his fear. He is happy to see that Ichibei is fearful to this. Yhwach mentions that it’s a real shame that even if half of his power is gone, he still has the ability to restore it back to himself.
Ichibei is asked as he’s told that one person cannot simple take a single thing from him on just a whim, he should also know that everything in this world exists for his taking. Yhwach creates lights which he aims towards Ichibei, he doesn’t move and just crushes all of these attacks with his arm.
Ichibei mentions that he is the man who takes kindness out of others for granted, for the sake of preserving his dignity he specifically chose to take away only half of his abilities. Yhwach doesn’t understand as Ichibei explains that if he had crushed him whilst he was at full strength, his reputation of the Quincy would have forever be tarnished.
Ichibei heads towards Yhwach with his One Hundred Step Bannister, he launches it towards Yhwach when he just uses his Blut Defense, laying it on the ground and making a sort of defense for himself. Ichibei quickly knows that it’s the Blut Vene Anhaben, just Wearing the Blood Vein.
Ichibei gets ready and uses his Urahadou San No Dou, Teppuusatsu which creates a massive form of animal which he uses to crack open the defense set by Yhwach. Ichibei gets closer when Yhwach smiles mentioning that he shouldn’t have done that.
The Blut Vene Anhaben erodes at everything that comes in contact with his body and uses it to expand it’s coverage. If he wanted to get so intimate, his body will be entirely consumed. Looks like the left side of his body will be done for mentions Yhwach.
Ichibei quickly speaks calling him a fool as he mentions the left side of his body can’t be overcome so easily. He uses his own will power and view system to overpower the Blut Vene, the power Ichibei is using also affected Yhwach that it seems that Ichibei has squashed Yhwach’s neck in.
Ichibei mentions that he violated everything when coming in, he would appreciate it if he could keep his insolence in check. Otherwise he will be his Judge, Jury and Executioner as Ichibei reveals his Zanpakuto as it replaces the brush end of his weapon. He has cut Yhwach as he bleeds away. Bleach 607 ends here.
A magnificent chapter, I loved the fact that they both keep on trumping each other with new and better attacks, and it seems that we’ve finally got first blood with the power used by Ichibei on Yhwach. This is truly magnificent, I can’t wait for next week’s Bleach 608.
Daily Anime Art 
I think what Yhwach was using during the first part of this chapter was Quincy spells. The Reishi Roman Numerals are the same ones Royd used Kirchenlied: Sankt Zwinger against Yamamoto. I also believe those Reishi Columns used against Ichibei are the Quincy spell equivalent to Bakudo #62. We have also seen more Quincy spells during this arc. Ransotengai to use Reishi strings to their brains to move this broken or paralyzed limbs. Offense spells like the blue flame pillars the Sternritter used, the spell to evaporate the Reishi that makes up the Serietei. And the stealth spell that has a Quincy scatter their Reishi to hide their Reiatsu and their enemies Reiatsu as well.

It was a cool chapter but we know Ywach will win this fight n it bugs me cos Ichibie is a cool Shinigami.

True that. I wonder if that will be the same for Shutara’s and Kirio’s Zanpakuto. Cause Shutara uses a sewing needle and Kirio has that huge spatula? Ichibei will lose but not without severely injuring Yhwach. Man I can restore his own powers. Which does make sense cause he can create the Schrift for the other Quincy.

Hmm I want to find out who’s stronger and who can beat who, also see their powerful techniques, but I wouldn’t mind if it ended in a draw or someone like the Soul King stepped in to talk to Yhwach. I don’t want to see Ichigo at this point in the battle.

Me too. They seem pretty equal at this point. I mean Yhwach’s Heilig Pfeil injures Ichibei, than Ichibei relents Yhwach’s Blut Vene Anhaben and injures him. Plus even if Ichigo shows up, what difference can he make? He doesn’t done anything so far that can match any of the Royal Guard.

We haven’t seen any of Ichigo’s powers. He seems like he can handle multiple Stern Ritter at a time, possibly even the Elite Force. So I’m sure that he can go 1 v 1 against Yhwach. I think Yhwach’s power went to 50% then when he talked about getting it back, he regained it right?

i think kubo hinted to us ichigo’s power when he said that his true power were suppressed by OM Zangetsu. we all know with just a fraction of his power he was more powerful than most of the captains, if not all. so personally i believe he can hold his guns against ywach.

Here’s how I see it, the Elite Guard are about as strong as the senior Captains. (Shunsui, Ukitake, Yanmamoto) Ichigo should have surpassed them by now since he has the Blut abilities to enhance his already impressive striking power.
Now, I know that it was hinted that Shunsui was weaker, but remember that he is now going to Central 46 and then heading to the battle. He is heavily implying that he is a match for Squad Zero and maybe even stronger since he’s pretty confident that he can win.

Meh I guess so. As for the Elite Guard I do not agree. Personally I see Ichibei stronger than Yamamoto, Shutara is equal, Oetsu is a little weaker, than Kirio and Tenjiro are stronger than Shunsui and Jushiro. I honestly don’t know how to put Ichigo’s strength. PLUS When He Gets Their Uryu is fighting him for sure, bit Yhwach. I consider Shunsui weaker than the Royal Guard, but not by very much. That’s my opinion. Of course he’s confident. He can use his Bankai without fearing of hurting anyone cause everyone up their is extremely powerful.

I did notice that. He was probably training to fight bis illness. They are both very powerful with the exception of Yamamoto, Unohana, and Zaraki. But sense they are dead and Zaraki is down for now, they are the strongest Captains now.

Yes, but will it be enough? I like to think that they’ll get a good shot or two in before Ichigo arrives, but I don’t see them ultimately dealing massive damage. Perhaps they can take out Hashiwald. He seems pretty expendable at this point.

Well Shunsui is going to the Royal Palace. But Jushiro is staying in the Serietei, cause for the Kamikake he has. I mean Jugram said he’ll fight Shunsui when Yhwach’s order is down. But now that Shunsui is going up there, he’ll meet up with Jugram and those two can fight.

I know that’s a good point. I’m mainly gong by what Shunsui said himself. He was gonna teach Zaraki The Art of Killing or true Zanjutsu but he realized he isn’t strong enough to teach him and Yamamoto tried to but he gave up in a day fearing his strength. So he let Unohana do it cause not only is use much stronger than Shunsui, but she invented the Art of Killing.

I think u are all silly on the Ichigo can’t take Yhwach. We have seen Ichigo getting ridiculously overpowered vs Aizen (yeah, I’ve read a lot of shonen but the Ichigo vs Aizen was the only scene where it seemed like someone was playing Dota vs AI and typed “whosyourdaddy”–God mode cheat). There is no reason Kubo won’t do it again.

I have to agree. (Not on the silly part necessarily) Ichigo can definitely take him on. Rukia and Renji went from being absolutely helpless against the minions to being able to dominate them. Ichigo may have been crushed last time, but his skills have skyrocketed since then. I’m expecting a Hollow/Soul Reaper/Quincy super form that will have attributes from each and look cool. Otherwise, he’ll just assimilate the Soul King and win 🙂

Meh that time against Aizen was a one time thing. I truly believe Ichigo needs someone else to help him fight Yhwach. I mean if he is equal to Yhwach, why didn’t his Getsuga Jojisho kill Candice in her Vollständig? She’s a strong average Sternritter yet his new technique didn’t kill her. Just blow off her arm. When Yhwach defeated Harribel, she was so destroyed, she looked worse than when Aizen tried to kill her. So no I don’t believe he can fight Yhwach by himself. If he uses Bankai than yes, if Yhwach just uses his Schrift and Spirit Weapon.

Actually that’s not true at all. First of all, Ichigo’s Zanpakuto was learning The Final Getsuga. And that’s just his Shinigami and Hollow powers. Not his Quincy powers. His Quincy powers were awaken when he ran out of Reiatsu in Quilge’s Vollständig enhanced The Jail and his body started absorbing Reishi to replenish his powers, absorbing Quilge’s Reishi, thus awakening his Quincy Reiyoku. I’ll give you that when he fought Candice but I still don’t believe he can take on Yhwach by himself with just his Shikai. His Shinigami/Hollow powers and Quincy powers have never been joined together until he visited Oetsu. If they did, than he would have already gained his now duel bladed Zanpakuto during the Winter War.

Well, looks like things are getting real. It’s good that Ichibei is at least trying to delay the inevitable. One thing I like about having the main villain square off against a new fighter who’s been hyped for over a year is that there will be a lot of boasting on both sides until the very end. After Yhwach crushes him I’m wondering how Ichigo will fare. The Vizards hinted that he’s doomed, but I like to think that Ichigo still has some tricks up his sleeves. Considering the boost that Rukia and Renji got, Ichigo should be able to give Yhwach a good fight and dare I say…..Defeat him! This is Ichigo after a while and I’m expecting a convincing victory

If the final battle is Yhwach vs Ichigo, I would think that Yhwach would somehow beat Ichigo. Just like in Naruto on how Madara can take on both Naruto and Sasuke and win. I think Madara/Kaguya are the Yhwach of Naruto. While Ishida and Ichigo being Naruto and Sasuke. If I’m correct, Kishimoto has been copied.

True, but it wouldn’t fit Kubo’s normal formula where Ichigo and the villain keep exchanging threats until Ichigo pulls out a new form to win. Let me explain:
Ichigo vs Byakuya-Even battle until Ichigo whips out his hollow mask for the first time
Ichigo vs Ulquiorra- Ichigo was losing until he pulled out a new form
Ichigo vs Aizen-Ichigo was getting stomped until he got his final form.
Ichigo vs Ginjou-Ichigo was losing until the Soul Reapers appeared and gave him new powers.
Every arc finale has had Ichigo quickly get some kind of new power from out of the blue to beat the villain. I’m confident that he’ll do something similar to Yhwach. The reason why I don’t want Uryu to help in the final battle is that he hasn’t always been around for Ichigo. For better or worse, Sasuke made his presence known in the Naruto series for a very long time. Uryu vanished for a large portion of Arc 2 and he was knocked out for arc 3. I just don’t feel like he deserves to get the final hit in.
Things will have gone full circle is Kubo copies Kishimoto. Kishimoto copied the Chunin Exams from the Nen Exams in Hunter X Hunter and Kubo copied Ichigo’s sword and character design from Zombie Powder. I guess it’s hard to be completely original nowadays…

I think Yamamoto is debatable though. He was stalemating Yhwach’s brother who was possibly at his level thanks to his ability to “become” the other person. I think that Yamamoto would have definitely taken Yhwach down with him or taken away most of his life had it been a true one on one fight. (Although, it’s a little moot for me since I considered Ichigo to be above the Gotei 13 Captains since the end of Hueco Mundo. He went below them for a tiny bit in the Xcution arc, but then he quickly went back up)

That’s true about Ichigo. Though I don’t consider him stronger than Yamamoto or Unohana now. But the other 11 Captains yup even Zaraki. But when Zaraki achieves Bankai, he’ll be much stronger than Ichigo and finally surpass Unohana. Until we see the first 1000 year blood war, we don’t know who was stronger Yamamoto or Yhwach. While some say he let Yhwach live is wrong to me, he is not the type of person to do that to someone as big a threat as him. But for the Tres Beasties, he did spare cause he commended them for defeating four Vice Captains. So I believe when Mayuri told Yamamoto “This is happening because you didn’t kill that man 1000 years ago.” From that sentence, I heard. “Its because you COULDN’T kill him. ” although Yhwach did lose his powers so maybe Yamamoto did that. I don’t believe Yamamoto or Unohana were ever friends with Yhwach, but Ichibei, Shutara, and Oetsu however maybe.

Whoa, I have to totally agree about the couldn’t part. The way that Mayuri said it feels to me like it 100% means that Yamamoto could have finished him off, but chose not too. I’m assuming that they used to be friends much like Ichigo and Uryu were, which is why he couldn’t.
I don’t think Zaraki achieving Bankai would let him surpass Ichigo necessarily. From the Gotei 13, only Ichigo has a bankai that actually increases his overall ability since it amps up his speed and power. The others just get a big weapon, which is great…but meaningless against Ichigo’s speed. With or without Bankai, Soi Fon for example, would put up the same fight against Ichigo. Likewise with Hitsugaya and Komamoura. If Zaraki just gets an even bigger sword or something like that, I don’t see him passing Ichigo. I don’t really see anyone passing Kurosaki to be honest.

I think at one point they were “allies” not friends. Ichibei Seems Like An Ex Friend Of Yhwach. I know Unohana sure as hell wasn’t. I believe Yamamoto couldn’t kill Yhwach. I doubt he chose not too. But than again before he died he did want to finish the war all by himself. So he feels guilty. Yhwach said he killed and or used Shinigami and Humans to kill his opponents. He was a ruthless monster just like Unohana was. Yhwach feared the first 13 Captains for this very reason.
For Ichigo that does make sense in a way. His Bankai is very unique. Plus he has Hollow and Quincy powers as well so he’s pretty unique. The only other person who is even close to him is Orihime.

Orihime is a plot line that I hope Kubo develops soon. Her abilities to negate are very formidable, but we haven’t seen her have a serious fight in years at this point. Well, I gotta say that I’m not looking forward to the flashbacks, but I suppose that they will shed some light. I do agree that Unohana wasn’t friends with him and I’ve always found Yamamoto to be evil, just the lesser of the two evils. (Him and Yhwach)

True she is. But her abilities to me remind me more of Ichigo. Hachi said her Shun Shun Rikka is a lot like a Zanpakuto and her powers are close to his. And his powers are Kido related. Originally I thought she was a Fullbringer like Chad sense they seal their Fullbring in personal objects like Chad’s Mexican Coin, or Riruka’s heart tatto. But sense the Xcution did not recruit her at all like did Chad And Ichigo, than she is not a Fullbringer. Whenever she fights or uses Shun Shun Rikka, she does not emit Reiatsu like Ichigo does. When he was fighting Letter J Executive Hunting Captain of the 1st Jagdarmee Qulige Opie, his Vollständig Biskiel, was absorbing Reishi all around Hueco Mundo, but it was also absorbing Orihime’s Soten Kisshun. Which means Shun Shun Rikka uses Reishi to use its power, not Reiatsu like Zanpakuto. Unlike Zanpakuto, Shun Shun Rikka is sealed in hair pins. That reminds me of how a Quincy uses their Quincy crosses to form their Spirit Weapon. So i think that’s something interesting. Her powers are considered god like so i think she’s related to the Royal family or something.
As for the first 1000 year blood war, i want to see it so bad. I want to see how this war began and what happens.

yeah that true, yhwach is dangerous and powerful, his not fear anything ..ichibe seems like very confident he will win this fight. but remember yhwach not interesting to kill ichibe..he juz want to kill SK or he want something from SK like a powerful weapon, example maybe sword or something ..he want to take. that my guess ..sorry about my English …if u understand what I’m talking about .. 🙂

Oh you mean Yhwach wants something from the Soul King? That’s possible. He probably wants to speak with him and his family before he kills them. Than again he needs the Royal Guard out of the way to do so. Honestly I don’t see Ichibei dying. Losing maybe, but not death. Or they are at an even draw.

That’s a strong possibility. But Ichibei seems stronger than Yamamoto in my opinion. He seems to care about Yhwach if he wanted to cut his abilities in half. Than he didn’t want to tarnish the Quincy’s reputation which bugs me. While Yhwach just shows much hate and bitterness against Ichibei.

Seems interesting. Most likely he can create anything with Ichimonji. Cause his Zanpakuto only has a blade that replaced the brush. Same with Tenjiro’s Zanpakuto.

Guess so. Must Be One On Kubo’s traits. While Ulquiorra did have a second release, Aizen did see that form and he was watching his fight with Ichigo yet he still ranked him 4th. Despite what so many people think. I think Ichibei’s Zanpakuto Ichimonji is a Kido Type.

Dude yes I mean don’t get me wrong, when Yamamoto used the sacrificial Kido number 96. But Ichibei’s Hidden Hado is amazing. I’m guessing the giant Kido hand was also a hidden Hado.

Well his Zanpakuto has the ability to absorb and redirect an attack 10 times faster than its originally fired, making it seem like Jushiro’s Zanpakuto is using the attack. So just imagine what he can do in Bankai.

Your right I forgot about ukitake. Didn’t stark mention that his ability was strange for a soul reaper? Also ginjo kugo said that ukitake was hiding his true colors.

Close. Stark said Jushiro’s Zanpakuto ability is very scary. And it really is. For Ginjou he did say Jushiro isn’t what he appears to be. He said to Ichigo that Kisuke is someone you shouldn’t trust and that he has so many secrets. He also was telling Ichigo how he knows Isshin and he was about to tell him that his mother Masaki is a Quincy, until Tsukishima interrupted.

Well for all we know his Zanpakuto Has The Ability To absorb an attack and redirect it 10 times faster. I don’t believe he has any other than that. Unless that Kamikake is an ability of his.

Well I saw on Bleach aysalum And One Person Had An Interesting theory Of What Kamikake is. They said the shadow and the eye looks like the Eye of Horus. A Egyptian Goddess Wadjet. This eye means protection, Royal power, and good health. And they also said the Goddess Wadjet is always associated with a Lili pad flower, and before this invasion began three days ago, Jushiro was mediating at a shrine with a large lile pad flower. So maybe this Kamikake will cure Jushiro of his illness and change his white hair back to black.

Well first of all, his quote to Aizen was this “Their hasn’t been a Shinigami born that is stronger than me in the last 1000 years. ” he said that to Aizen cause he is under 1000 years old. But as for Ichibei, the Royal Guard, And Unohana, this does not apply to them cause they are all over 1000 years old.

Well your my good friend too 😉 I made a typo with Yamamoto’s battle status. His Stamina is 80 not 70. But that’s how I see how strong these Shinigami are. In fairness I think Ichibei is the strongest Shinigami rivaled by Yamamoto And Unohana

I really hope Uraharas planning 2 release Aizen. Hey Steve O. I am good how are you? 😉 I love your requests as always. You know Zaraki vs Gerard would be awesome cause they are both Meele type combatants. But I see Gerard taking on Tenjiro cause he has a confident personality like Gerard does.
I Understand Why You Think Aizen is the better antagonist. He’s been the antagonist for years and he is very evil and a sick ass character. But I personally see Yhwach as a much better antagonist. His history with the Shinigami is so amazing. He is the father and king of the Quincy, He Is The Reason The Gotei 13 and Royal Guard were created. Compared to Aizen, Aizen has more of a better manipulation and mind fuckery than Yhwach. But Yhwach can be mind fuck in to. Telling Ichigo he’s his son.
But as for power and leadership. Aizen is very powerful, but Yhwach is obviously much more powerful. While Aizen considers himself a god, Yhwach never once called himself a god even though he is kinda a god. As for leadership, Aizen wasn’t very good with his Espada. He let half of the die to trap four Captains on Las Nochas, than he tries to kill Harribel just for the hell of it, than kills Kaname and Gin and think he can take on the Royal Guard be himself. His arrogance is so vast I hate him sometimes and when I see him fight, I can half the time predict what he is gonna do. I really don’t like that in a character. He did rule the Espada through fear, but that was a pretty fragile alliance at best. A few of the Espada hate him anyway. As for Yhwach, his leadership is amazing. His first attack was so well planned and the way he makes his Sternritter work together is awesome. And man his battle style is so unpredictable i love it!

I have a crazy theory here but what if yhwach actually loses the fight and uses one of the sternritter’s abilities that he stole? I think he might use Robert’s letter “n” for the number of something. I dont know. Now that I write it out on paper, it seems a little farfetched…..

That’s a great possibly. For the longest time, we have all thought once a Quincy dies and the Schrift ability returns to Yhwach, he can use the ability of the dead Sternritter. But he has yet to use any Schrift abilities of the now dead Sternritter. So maybe he can’t use these abilities for himself, but again we don’t know what his own Schrift A can fully do yet.

Yhwach probably only gave the elite guard the abilities of candice, liltotto, bazz b, and meninas. He could have kept the powers of Robert,nanana, and Giselle all for himself.

See I don’t know if that’s true. Here’s what I think. Yhwach can share his soul to other Quincy, and if those Quincy have Sternritter level Reiyoku, than they can handle his soul.
When regular humans took a piece of his soul, they died right after. If a Quincy took a piece of his soul, they would only last month’s to a year before dying cause they are not strong enough. I believe his Schrift can awaken a Quincy’s true power by combining their Reiyoku with his piece of Reiyoku.
For example, I believe As Nodt always had The Fear, but he couldn’t use its full power because his Reiyoku was missing a piece, so he could only use the standard Reishi Bow like how Uryu, Masaki, Ryuken, and Katagiri can. But when Yhwach gives them a piece of his soul, they can have access to their own true power.
That’s why Yhwach hasn’t been using any other the fallen Quincy’s abilities. Because maybe he can only bestow power, not actually use it. Because he made his Elite Guard much stronger now, none of them have The Heat, Glutton, Power, Thunderbolt, Zombie, and U and N. But They Have Extra Pieces Of Yhwach’s Soul and now they’re Reiyoku is much stronger now.
