Bleach 588 see’s Giselle turning the late Bambietta Basterbine into what she calls a zombie, her eyes appear to look dead as she is being controlled, while at the same time, the first to arrive Kirinji uses his attacks on Yhwach, Jugram and Uryu to defend the King’s Palace. We also see a little banter whereby Giselle jokes with Ikkaku for them to cut her and feel her true power.
Bleach 588 begins as Yhwach, Jugram and Uryu all reach at the entrance of the King’s Palace using the light which helped them get there, they practically destroy the entrance. All of the Royal Guards hear the noise that is made. Yhwach gets to the Palace, to which Jugram quickly gives his deepest condolences. Yhwach asks what wrong with him, all of a sudden he’s begun to feel emotion for looking upon decrepit grave stone.
Jugram say’s that he’s sorry then begins to call upon his soldiers to which they’re quickly defeated by Kirinji Tenjiro who asks them what they’re doing, they’re not welcome there. Yhwach shouts at him mentioning that he thinks that he can impede on him with his power.
Kirinji mentions that he wouldn’t be standing there if he wasn’t confident. He then brings out a large amount of water to which it covers the soldiers Jugram brought a while ago. It covers them to which he then raises the temperature, it’s water that leeches out their blood and reiatsu. He jokes with them if it’s too hot just say the world.
He then takes out the small sheath out of the knife he has to reveal his own, he jumps up to which he then uses his Kinpika to attack a none moving Yhwach. At the battle, Giselle is faced by both Ikkaku and Yumichika to which she mentions that they wouldn’t attack and unarmed girl like her would they.
To which she begins to say it in a way that is making her ask for it, Yumichika works out that since she is doing so, she must has some kind of trick to which will happen once she is killed or something. He gives an example to which it correct whereby if a splash of blood from her wound gets on a person, she could possible get control over him.
Giselle jokes around mentioning that something like that is so off from her power. On top of which she goes ahead to say that killing her is not a good idea. Yumichika goes on ahead to try and solve her little performance, to which he goes on ahead to say that Giselle is really a boy.
She is so shocked that she doesn’t know what to do, to which Yumichika mentions that he knew she was hiding something. To which she also smells really funny. However she shouts Bambietta’s name and she comes to her from the top, she says that she is sorry that she kept her waiting, to which she tells Bambietta to go ahead and slaughter Ikkaku and Yumichika. Bleach 588 ends here.
A great and fantastic chapter, a lot of great things happened, to which I’m sure that Ikkaku and Yumichika will face a great battle ahead, to which now it seems like it’s a 9 vs 6 battle. Nevertheless, it’s going to be an awesome battle and I can’t wait for next week’s Bleach 589.

I think Yumichika was just provoking her by saying she’s a man BECAUSE she smells like semen. That’s not very accurate to me. So still believe she’s a women. Who happens to get laid alot. But freaking deal. Bleach is very different from your typical Showen Manga. They just now show or mention sex in this final arc. So it makes sense that one of the new characters has alot of sex. Not saying she’s a trap or slut like some people are on tumblr but just screwing some unknown grunts doesn’t make you a trap. He’ll Candice Does and no one calls her one. Because she isn’t. But she somehow is a man I probably would’ve care, she’s a great character and I’ll always see her as women otherwise. I rest my case. 🙂 And I like Tenjiro. He’s funny and cool. And yes he’s extremely fast. I wonder if they will come in order to fight Yhwach if Tenjiro is defeated or something.

Well I’m sorry I said useless. That’s a little harsh on my end :). But when he transformed he couldn’t move at all. Like he couldn’t do anything that’s what I meant. Iba had to carry him. But sense his Grandfather ate his heart, it seems Sajin can never be a Shinigami again. But that’s not canon now but I’m just guessing.

That’s also possible. He could seek revenge. Though he already technically kill Bambietta so I don’t know who he would go after? Another Sternritter? Can he Use his Zanpakuto anymore? And ya Iba is one of the Vice Captains who has not revealed his Shikai name. He has released it, but not the names. The others are Nanao, Isane, and Nemu. And Mashiro and Hachi have yet to show their Shikai either.

I think we will also get more insight of each sternritters personality and possibly past..since looking at Giselle a very very derpy person getting mad is kind of shocking but I wonder if old man gets very furious in combat since his fight with kyroku(what’s his name >.<) was more of "Ha! my boss is better than you're boss"!

1. I don’t think Kirinji’s zanpakuto abiliity is water based..it just what he been creating that why he was called Hot Spring Demon…Hikifune create mod soul not because that is her zanpakuto ability, same with others RG Captains
2. instead i think Kirinji’s zanpakuto ability is Light…which make him able to move faster wherever the light is…remember he was called “Lightning-Fast Tenjiro” back then when his time in SS…
3. I don’t think Kirinji able to hurt Juha because no matter how hot his water is, it can’t beat the hot of Yamamoto’s Bankai which Juha held that power now, so next captain need to step forward ASAP

Well about Giselle I don’t believe that. Giselle was taunting them to attack her. Yumichika git pissed. So he taunted her by calling her a man so she would show her ability. She looks nothing like a man and I doubt she is.
And it’s probably true that Tenjiro’s Zanpakuto is not water based. I was just guessing but he seals it very uniquely. And I assume Kirio is the same with her giant Spoon. And I didn’t say or believe Kirio’s Reiatsu cooking is her Zanpakuto ability. But it could be related.
And I don’t believe Tenjiro will defeat Yhwach. I do believe he will injure him. That’s all.

So instead he tries to provoke her. By calling her a man. Which kinda worked I guess. Though she didn’t use the Zombie of them. She summoned the Corpse of Bambietta so I say his plan worked. 😉

yup at least one from four captains left need to observe the fight and help Kirinji if needed b’cuz such a waste for someone who is powerful like Kirinji have to die (just enough with Unohana and Yamamoto)… also there is no one in SS ever replaced his position…
seems like RG fighting strategy is different than Gotei 13 which is they sending a Master of Healing first in the front line rather than anyone else…
i bet after Kirinji, Hikifune next, then Senjumaru, Oetsu and lastly Ichibei..

I remember when these two, along with Rangiku, And Rukia being apart of Toshiro’s advanced team to Karakura Town to fight the Arrancar. Aj I have a theory on Bambietta. So she actually never died. She was just injured very badly from her battle with Sajin. Giselle said she can only Zombie up a Quincy if they die, but Bambietta didn’t die? So maybe Bambietta never died but Giselle still made her into her Zombie. So maybe Giselle can Zombie up a Quincy without them dieing. But being on the brink of death. Because Kubo said Bambietta has a role to play in this war. Do you believe this is it? To be the first Sternritter to become Giselle’s Quincy Zombie? I’m not so sure anymore. She might still.be alive, but Giselle is just controlling her and making her fight for her.

For Bambietta’s crew. They will die eventually like the rest of the Sternritter. Honestly Aj if Grimmjow and Candice fought. She would defeat him pretty easily. Ya he has strength on his saide. But her The Thunderbolt is extremely powerful and I don’t see Grimmjow defensive against her Lightning. If anything Rangiku or Mashiro will take her on. Same with Meninas. I personally don’t see Chad fighting her. I see either Rukia or Mashiro as well. Any of the Female Visord’s like Riza or Hiyori. Liltotto I see taking on Yachiru or Hiyori. I do like Bambietta. But yes she does have a prideful personality. But si Fors Bazz-B dude. If anything he’s more prideful than . Thinking he can take on Ichigo by himself. Man I hate guys like that than I do girls. But he and Bambietta are very good fighters. Bambietta is very powerful and skillful during her battle with Sajin and she defeated Shinji pretty easily. That’s why I like her. But your most likely right Aj. Her skin is grey or blue and she’s dead. I guess her “role” as Kubo put it was to show how Giselle’s The Zombie works when she has a Quincy Corpses. Man Zombie Bambietta can kill them. She’s alot stronger than these two. But I see Giselle turning these two into Zombies if that’s the case. And sense they are Shinigami, they don’t need to die for her The Zombie to work. She just has to bleed on them. And I do see Giselle being the last of Bambietta’s crew to die. She’s very hard to kill. I knew I would expect alot from her. Hell I expect alot from the other three and the other remaining Sternritter.

Well Kelvis I explained why I believe Giselle is not a man. You can look at it somewhere in these posts. Basically I’ll make it quick. Giselle was taunting Yumichika and Ikkaku to attack her. When he was going to destroy the Hidden Leaf Village he had to mentally be prepared sense that used to be his home. I’m assuming Yhwach is having a similar situation.

maybe before Quincy have been defeated by the first generation of Gotei 13, the race that given a job to protect the Soul King in the first place is Quincy not a Shinigami, …i come with this theory because i believe at least three from five of Royal Guard Captains are the first generation of Gotei 13 (Kirinji, Oetsu, Ichibei).. therefore there is no such a shinigami as Royal Guard at the time..

That’s possible! Actually Kirio and Shutara were also original Captains. Kirio has always been the 12th Division Captain before Kisuke and Mayuri. And Shutara was not the 12th Division Captain after her even though some people believe so. She created the uniforms for the Shinigami and it’s own Reiatsu scale. All five members were the original Captains like Yamamoto and Retsu.

Ya well Shunsui said that those were the only current Captains that have been Captains that long. Kirio was already promoted and left the 12th Division. Kisuke learned all his Gigai inventions from her as well as her Reiatsu cooking. He used that cooking for Yoruichi when she was injured after she defeated Yammy.

That’s a good point. Honestly you ever hear some people age faster than others? Yamamoto is the oldest Shinigami. I think he’s around 4000 or so. Retsu seems around 3000. Shunsui and Jushiro are actually around 2100 years old. I think Oetsu is 3000 years old. I see Kirio around Shunsui and Jushiro’s age. Shutara could be either or. Ichibuei seems older than them. Probably around Retsu’s age.

Well Quincy are the polar opposite of Shinigami. They are living Humans, they are dead souls. They absorb Reishi to fight, they admit Reiatsu to fight. But they also have a lot of things In common. Schrift abilities are alot like Shikai abilities. And achieving and mastering the Vollständig is alot like doing the same With Bankai. So it’s probably that the Quincy and Shinigami lived in harmony at one point.

Very interesting reading about the shinigami and quincy..but I wondered who attacked first out of the shinigami and what exactly happened in the soul palace or was it even called the soul palace from the start? I had a lot of theories because a lot of stuff sounds fishy but one of them was that “it” was something like an abomination that posed as some sort of shinigami savior or whatever..question is who even made him king in the first place..personally i would have chosen yamamoto but the other was “it” was probably way more evil back in the day than the ywach we have today that actually had a plan to exterminate probably ywach so he created chaos between the shinigami/quincy which led to the shinigami attacking the quincy..who were probably friendly people back in the day..

Im just having a hard time trying to believe they attacked these people just because of a different way of killing…I feel as though that “it” was behind it all and I wonder where the hell ywach came from too..it feels like they are brothers and they wanted to have fun so they played chess for a while but one brother got pissed so he fucked over the other one and that’s how all this shit is happening.

The Shinigami killed the Quincy because they were killing and destroying the Hollow. So the balance of souls was broken and the world was ending. But I agree Aj the Soul King is extremely shaddy in my eyes.

I Knew that part but it just seemed like you know one of those scenarios about two groups coexisting in harmony and something bad happens when a wicked individual creates some sort of problem that destroys the harmony between the groups.. Causing a lot of shit to happen and it seems like the SK would fit that role but the cause for the wickedness? I have no clue yet

Omg Aj yes I was thinking the same Fucking thing man!! XD. And the ability Yhwach used was called Auswählen. German for Selection. Which stole all the impure Quincy of the human world of their Quincy powers to restore his own 9 years ago. Because of this ability, thousands of millions of Quincy were killed because of that intense lose. The only Half blood Quincy not killed was Uryu. And the only pure blood Quincy effected was Masaki. Who Yhwach deemed impure because her soup was connected to Isshin and his connected to White. Honestly was wondering the same thing. Masaki and Katagiri didn’t have a Schrift ability from Yhwach’s blood. So maybe that ability was so strong that it can effect Quincy that are not apart of Yhwach I guess. It’s safe to say Ryuken and Masaki knew about Yhwach and the Wandernreich. According to Quilge Opie, Soken Ishida did not agree with there Quincy Evolution or their blood thirsty ways. So hopefully they will explain this more.
Totally off topic but I know Ginjou met Isshin and Masaki sense he knows so much about them. Hopefully when he fights they show him meeting them both. Because he was gonna tell Ichigo that Masaki was a Quincy.
