Kakashi Kills Rin!! – Naruto 604

Naruto 604 finally reveals who the killer of Rin is. To the normal eye it seems like it is Kakashi! But could there be something more to this, and what could the reasons be for Kakashi attacking Rin, could this Kakashi somehow be a Zetsu clone who is tricking Obito into returning to Madara.

Naruto 604 starts out as Obito fully bonds with the Zetsu who is currently with him. He’s attacked to the Gedo Mazo. Obito quickly goes for an attack on the large boulder to quickly head towards Rin and Kakashi. Obito smashes the rock and after just one strike the whole thing cracks.

One of the Zetsu’s mentions that it’s impressive that Obito is able to borrow the power of the Gedo Mazo while connected to the roots. The boulder crumbles and a pathway is made. The mask on Obito unwinds and Madara wakes up. He asks if Obito is going.

At this point Obito tears the cord holding him to the Gedo Mazo. Obito tells Madara that he’s thankful for saving him but he can’t stay there so he can’t really stay there. Madara tells him that he’s too impatient and that it’s still too early for him to give thanks to Madara.

Obito tells him that he probably won’t ever come back there again and that he’s going to go. Madara tells Obito that he will definitely return and will give him his true gratitude when the time comes. Obito notices that White Zetsu, he asks him to show him the way. The Zetsu tells him that they can talk using telepathy and the clone which Obito has the main going on him.

Obito tells the suit that he’s counting on him, he then scatters off. He grabs a cloak like thing and asks Zetsu how Kakashi and Rin are right now. He mentions that according to his comrades and clones, they are pretty screwed at this point. They are surrounded by several enemies.

Obito shouts and asks himself where Minato is because only he can save them, but he’s nowhere to be found. Obito remembers the moment when Obito made Kakashi promise that he had to protect Rin at any cost. Zetsu tells him that since they’re going to enter the battlefield, Obito’s powers are weaker than that of Zetsu and thus he should fight at that point.

Obito says Madara had mentioned that when the Sharingan’s are merged that both of them will be at their strongest.  He also mentions that both Kakashi and him will protect Rin no matter what. Obito feels that there is rain coming from the sky, but it’s just information from his comrades.

Obito notices that as he goes to follow the large explosion, his left socket see’s an image. He notices an image of Rin, she seems to be upset  and possibly hurt. When then see that a man has just killed Rin by pushing their hand through her chest.

The vision ends and Obito keeps on going, he notices a great tragedy as Kakashi with his Chidori strikes Rin’s chest, Rin speaks Kakashi’s name once more, Obito keeps on watching. At this point Obito gets real pissed of while Kakashi get’s teared up. Naruto 604 ends here.

That was a fantastic chapter, there are multiple reason’s why Kakashi could have done it, maybe because she told him because of the current situation, or that Kakashi was being manipulated, or even if Kakashi was a Zetsu clone. Can’t wait for next week’s Bleach 605, it’s going to be epic to see what had happened here!

    There are definitely a lot of theories out there. You know how they were fighting mist swordsmen? Well, I think one of them tricked Kakashi into stabbing Rin. Like he quickly jumped out of the way last second or put Rin in front. That could be why she’s so shocked and Kakashi’s crying. On the other hand, maybe Kakashi’s actually a really evil villain 😛

      Kakashi is crying but he doesn’t seem to be shocked that he killed her… I think it was more like this could be a Zetsu Clone or that Rin could be a Ninja Clone from the other ninja’s or that Kakashi was forced into killing Rin because the Sharingan was way too powerful for them…

        Yeah, he just looks determined. She’s the one who looks pretty shocked about the whole thing. Maybe he really is doing it to get mangekyo O: That would be an interesting plot twist. Yeah, it’s probably one of those 6 options. Though if it’s a clone then we still need to figure out how she died so I think it’s most likely that he had to destroy her for the mangekyo or was tricked into destroying her by a last second switch or something

            Yeah, you’ve got a point. If that is the case then she’ll be the one to lose fans. Still, at least it would give her some development, but then why would she look so surprised? Maybe she didn’t think Kakashi would destroy her even if she was a traitor.

              Yeah that’s what I also think, she probably thought that since she was ready to fight Kakashi, but realized that she was no match for him, he cries because he had to kill his own comrade.. and Obito could have been forced to back away because it could be too dangerous for him as he’s weak…? Thus he returns to Madara… Madara promises him to teach him powerful techniques and make him more powerful to defeat Kakashi, in return Obito helps him..

                That sounds like some pretty solid reasoning so I guess now we’ll just have to wait and see. Your bleach Arc 4 Timeline has also been pretty spot on so far so congrats 🙂

    Maybe Kakashi knew of the secrets of the Mangekyo Sharingan, thus, him wanting to activate it he need to kill Rin. That is why he was able to activate the Mangekyo Sharingan!
    The requirement of the Mangekyo being: killing your closes friend/ family member!

          True, but a lot of fans will really be enraged if he did that. That’s one of the reasons why Sasuke is the most hated character in the franchise. A lot of people dropped the series when he started betraying and killing people left and right. Kakashi will still have his fans, but he’ll lose at least 60% of them

      I disagree, even if Kakashi did discover the secret to activating the MS, thanks to Obito, he just recently realized how important his comrades are. That’s a lesson he later taught Squad 7. And that’s why I don’t think Kakashi would ever purposely turn on his allies.

      Hmm that could be but why would he kill Rin, she was his close friend and stuff… But since Kakashi just gained the eye a few weeks or so back, because of the development of Obito… he shouldn’t have been able to learn about the Mangekyou Sharingan so quickly… but still it’s possible…

      I don’t think Kakashi is too greedy about power. Although maybe he knew the secrets of Mangekyo he won’t kill his friend. 😀 i don’t know, but i think it is. Or maybe he realized about the value of a comrade over mission. “Remember what obito sid to Kakashi?” 😀

    I hope he didnt kill her cause i will become a Kakashi hater xD…Maybe its something like Bleach when Aizen tricked everyone and Toshiro stabbed Hinamori.

      I agree. That could’ve been either a transformation jutsu that Kakashi saw through, or a Hidden Mist Genjutsu that made him think that Rin was someone else.

    Or maybe it’s a zetsu clone stabbing Rin? Or vice versa?
    Or being manipulated by Genjutsu?
    I do wonder how Kakashi activated his Mangekyo, but he didn’t have it in the first series? He only awakened it in the second?
    I feel as if Obito is being manipulated – Madara predicted he would come back, how would he know this? He’s obviously set it up in a way to make Obito come back, and what better way than to have his friend kill the person he loves? That gives him a motive to destroy the world.
    Perhaps Rin was lured out and killed? Obito sees it’s kakashi and etc..
    On the other hand, the “real” Kakashi finds Rin dead and wonders what happened.

      I also agree that it could be a Zetsu clone, but I ask myself how it transmitted to Obito’s left eye? Could the Clone helping Obito somehow planted such a memory to be seen by his left eye? Maybe Genjutsu..
      I think Obito’s and Kakashi’s eyes are connected, if one kills and gets the Mangekyo, then the other also gets it because they are connected..
      Yeah I think that he’s clearly being manipulated, by the Zetsu’s probably… Madara must have given the Zetsu’s a order which they had to make come true.. Obito did keep mentioning Rin and Kakashi, they clearly picked up on it and Zetsu went to research and found them out…
      Yeah that’s what I think also… if it’s some kind of Genjutsu, Obito see’s Kakashi kill Rin, while Kakashi from somewhere else see’s a Zetsu clone kill Rin… hmm lots of questions needed to be answered..

    I thought at first Obito is in a genjutsu when he started seeing things but then i realised its actually Kakashis vision with the sharingan. lol

      Yes, Kakashi is only able to awaken his Mangekyo when him and Naruto fight Deidara for the first time!
      The theory on the Zetsu’s playing a trick on Obito could also be true, seeing that they can imitate anyone(e.g. Kisame). But what I don’t understand how can Obito be able to see a vision of Rin being hurt after so long? the Zetsu’s don’t have enough power to place a genjustu on Obito! Only if Madara planned this already long ago, then it could be possible. Activating Obito’s hatred towards Konoha was probably Madara’s main goal,thus, making Obito come back for revenge and accept the Eternal Tsukuyomi plan.

        Yeah exactly what I think 😛 Obito could have been able to see the vision as his right Sharingan and Kakashi’s Left Sharingan were getting stronger to a Mangekyou… Or the Zetsu surrounding him somehow connected the Kakashi Zetsu and Obito’s Zetsu and showed this image… and the last page showed that there eyes did not get an upgrade.. which could point to Zetsu…?

    awesome chapter..kakashi is my favourite character on this show from the begining…i dont think he is bad guy there must be a serious reason for what he did as u can see him he is crying…the flashback stories of kakashi are the best!!!

      Kakashi is a badass! He’s not going to do something so stupid, he’ll probably have a important reason for this… yeah he’s crying, maybe Rin was the enemy from the group?

    i think rin was a zetsu clone or maybe kakashi they teamates with minato sensei but reads there kakashi was true zetsu because that masked man was zetsu to going to hidden leaf village to seal the nine-tails fox i think maskeman vs 4th hokage minato well see

      Hmm Personally after the story has gone somewhat far, I think that she’s not a zetsu clone but it was actually the real Rin, the ninja’s that were around them wanted something from Rin, that’s why she was killed by Kakashi, possibly to prevent the other ninja’s from getting intel or something

    If Kakashi realy killed Rin, its becouse he had no choice between the two. He had to choose between her or the village becouse rin had some sort “monster demon was sealed in her from the Mist village and it was going to attack his village so he choose to kil her!

      Yeah I also think the exact same thing, he had no choice and it was probably her will to be killed on the same battlefield in which Obito was also killed in. She did mention that she will always follow him…

    A pretty strong theory I heard and have added to is as follows:

    Hidden mist had previously captured Rin and made her into the three tails container as part of a plan to destroy the leaf, her unstable seal would break when she returned to the village.
    However when they were bringing her back Kakashi came to the rescue without the knowledge that Rin was now a living weapon.
    Rin takes her chance and leapt in front of a Chidori to save the village.

    That’s why the mist ANBU were so pissed.

    “Damn, he did it!”

      Actually I heard a theory very similar to that. And I do think she was a Jinchuuriki but not sure which tailed. I hadn’t know about the seal being weak bit, maybe it was and she was going to release it. Very good and probably the best theory yet. I like how you told us to reply with our arguments lol.

    rin is a jinchuriki sealing jutsu on her is unstable
    mist village people wanted to destroy hidden leaf village using rin
    kakashi can nolonger fight agaist mist village people inorder to save HLV people he broke the promise given to obito .. and both awakened their mangekyou sharingan watching their loved ones die

    Run was forced to be the jinjuriki bye the nin that captured her, so she ran in front of Kakshi’s chidori to protect the village as the kiri nin wanted to unleash the demon into the leaf village. Yosh!
