Who Killed Kirge Opie? – Bleach 500

The latest Bleach 500 Chapter has asked some unanswerable questions. The first of which is Who Killed Kirge Opie? The end of Bleach 500 revealed that Kirge Opie was literally cut in half when this mysterious person sliced him up. It’s still not confirmed if Kirge is dead yet, but after such a horrific injury it’s unlikely he will not be back.

The above images show that this person would have had to be incredibly powerful in order to even get close to Kirge like he did. This seems like it was an attack from the back, so it’s somewhat unfair on Kirge.

Some people suspect it’s Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez, the reason being due to the fact that he is still alive and was not killed by Ichigo. Plus since he was the 6th Espada he would have had to be terrifically powerful, thus proving the large attack on Kirge splitting him apart.

Grimmjow isn’t the only suspect, there is also Nelliel Tu Odelschwanck, she was the one who warned Ichigo about the attack on Hueco Mundo. She was the 3rd Espada who had to be even more powerful than Grimmjow. Her adult form has an enhanced Speed and strength giving her the ability to quickly attack Kirge and place her sword on Urahara. The only reason I can come up with Nelliel placing her sword on Urahara is that she saw Urahara do nothing but play on his computer while both Orihime and Chad fight to protect Ichigo, it seemed to her that he was doing nothing.

Other people believe that it may Gin as he may still be alive due to the fact that Matsumoto did not fully explain if he was dead or alive. The fact that Gin can open the Garganta and cross through them into Hueco Mundo can be explained here. Plus Gin is incredibly fast with his sword and could have killed Kirge when ever. We also see that Urahara is not scared, but in fact shocked because I’m pretty sure that he knows this person!

There are also those who believe that it’s Aizen. Aizen is one very powerful Shinigami who could do this type of damage, he’s also very quick and has his Bankai for complete hypnosis. Aizen has his reasons for pointing his sword at Urahara mostly because Urahara put him away to Jail, but if Aizen comes back here, it would mean he escaped.

There are others who even believe that it may have been another Quincy who is even more powerful than Kirge Opie. The fact that Kirge went so far to stop Ichigo and his friends proved to this other Quincy that he’s a weak one who needed to show so much of his power in order to trap Ichigo.

There are many others you could say that it could be, but currently I personally think that it’s Nelliel due to the fact that she’s there and could have easily transformed into her Adult Form and kill Kirge Opie.

Who do you think killed Kirge Opie?

The predicted image above of Grimmjow was drawn by Harea. She believes Grimmjow will be the one who shows up! Do you?

    Copying from the other post:

As for the myserious hero who sliced up Kirge, 90% it is Grimmjow 5% Aizen and 5% a new character.

Grimmjow might definetly be it but then again to pull off something like that on Urahara is pretty amazing and you have to be ultra strong. Urahara should be able to keep with his speed. Also he wouldnt chicken out at the end if it was an Espada. The zanpakto doesnt also look like a Arrancars.

In all the chaos Aizen might have escaped his prison and went through the garganta to save the day. The question is why? I can only thing of one sentence “The enemy of my enemy is my friend”. Probably he doesnt like the Vandenreich as well but this still is too farfetch i think so i will stop here.

It might also be a member of the Royal Guard. It might be too early for them to show up. I also noticed that the slash came down like a kind of energy beam. Is it a Qunicy saving the day? Hehe a Qunicy with zanpakto LOL

I just want to add that i dont think its Nel. Even in her child form she should be that much aware to know that Urahara isnt an enemy.

Well Nelliel knows a lot about friendship and that sort of thing from her Hollow friends. She could have gotten really frustrated and angry because Urahara did not do anything while Orihime and Chad were getting some lethal damage. If you saw in the previous chapter, 499, of the pages shows Chad literally trying to stop the attacks which Kirge sent, it made large holes within Chad’s body!

I’m not sure Kubo they didn’t concentrate on the damage made on Kirge, but it was somewhat horrific to see that Chad had received soo many holes!

True, parts of Orihimes hips got ripped off as well. That Urahara thing really sounds immature to me. Would she really do that? Anyways i got really interested in the Gin theory. Might be true but what are his motives and how did he land in HM?

Well his motive’s might be that once he was never truly loyal to Aizen, he thinks it’s time to possibly regain a position within the 13 Court-Guard squads and show that his a friend not a foe. As to how he got to Hueco Mundo, do you remember the hollow that took over Kaien Shiba? It returned to Hueco Mundo after it was practically dead. Perhaps that is what happened to GIn since Aizen wasn’t aware he was a traitor.

Nice idea, could be so, but Gin is able to open a Garganta and travel from Real World to Hueco Mundo or Soul Society, so he doesn’t really need to use a Hollow to travel.

I dont think It’s Aizen, since his Zanpakuto doesn’t exist anymore. I believe it’s just another Quincy. It would be pretty amazing if it was Grimmjow, but so far, I see very slim chances of him appearing at all in this new Chapter.

Yeah, there’s some chance that it could be another Quincy because Hueco Mundo is literally filled with many Quincy’s taking all the Hollows away.. so yeah it could be… Hopefully Chapter 503 comes really soon…

Grimmjow is dead, killed by Nnoitora. Aizen is still in jail, Jucha Bach was talking with him there. It’s not Nel, cause it’s a male who has some kind of a beef with Ichigo, so it’s not Gin either, who by the way is most likely dead, jugding from Matsumoto’s thoughts, and also Urahara probably wouldn’t need to make any deals with Gin.
It’s not a new character, cause he knows Ichigo, so my suspicion is directed towards espada who fought on par and was defeated by two monsters, Zaraki and Byakuya, the strongest espada, who was somewhat alive the last time we saw him. 🙂

No sort of build up to justify such a random presence. There’s no reason the royal guard would be in HM. It’s gonna be a hollow and Grimmjow just makes the most sense, plus with Kubo hinting at him being in this arc, I couldn’t think of a better entrance for him. Nel wouldn’t take such an under handed shot and is far more merciful to kill so outright, so honestly my guess is Grimmjow 95%/4%a new hollow/1% Nel. Yeah if it isn’t Grimmjow it’s a new hollow, maybe vasto lorde, NOT shinigami, if Kubo does that he’s trolling.

Completely agree, the Royal Guards are suppose to be protecting the Royal Family, not being spread out thin within such a important war within Soul Society… Also somewhat agree with your percentage, but Gin would also be included in it. Lol, hopefully it’s not some understated Vasto Lorde who appeared a few times before and is back with such great power… Hopefully what the image shows above of Grimmjow is exactly what happens 😀

Kirio is a part of the Royal Guard yes, but it’s very unlikely that she would be in Hueco Mundo at this time because she is SS are being attacked and its better if the Royal Guard just stay within Soul Society to protect the Royals… Personally I think it would be one of these Grimmjow, Gin or Nelliel, it would be unlikely for Aizen to join Bleach this soon…

I agree with Joey because Nel would not attack from behind cuz first off she wouldn’t fight Nnoitra because to her it wasn’t a fair fight. Also it takes alot of her energy and time to change and I don’t think she could do it so free willingly. Gin might be a possible out come because he ran away and were would he go to get away from Soul Society but HM? Then Gin’s fighting style is more of a piercing move not slashing one. But both characters wouldn’t point their swords at Urahara so I don’t think its them. Also quincys don’t use blades. Even the new ones don’t.
GrimmJow has been mentioned to be in the arc and he is the one to go for a behind sneak attack then point his sword at Urahara do to hes the only other threat in the area. And for some reason the sword in question does look like an arrancar blade. The only thing that gets me is the look of surprize on Urahara’s face. It has to be someone he knows. Also a new character is still a maybe.

Well, I still believe its Nel, if you saw the fight between Nnoitra and Nel, her attack on him was a slash on the chest, it’s possible that Kubo hasn’t fully showed it all because the manga is going at such a fast pace it’s hard to show all the details, possibly in the back, Nel wakes up in her child form to see both Orihime and Chad dying while Urahara is doing nothing but sitting there letting them die, thus she, out of anger and desperation, transforms into her adult form quickly slashing Kirge and quickly facing Urahara for not helping Chad and Orihime…

Grimmjow told once to Orihime to heal Ichigo because he wanted a fair fight, it’s somewhat unlikely that he may want to fight in such a unfair way, killing Kirge from the back… Could be an Arrancar, but there are only a few left for us to guess from because a lot of them have died…

ahh, seems reasonable enough, but since Hiyori and the others are in the Human world, it’ll be hard for them to get any info in such a short time about the war and where they should head out. Plus does Hiyori have beef with Urahara? Not fully sure here…

I’m pretty sure that Urahara would know that Isshin has the ability to travel through a Garganta… But there wouldn’t be any reason why Isshin would point his sword at Urahara.

Its some what unlikely because Ichigo’s Hollow half was fused with Zangetsu within his training to obtain the Final Getsuga Tenshou… But still a good optimistic idea, it would be awesome to see something like this though…

How is it Aizen? Seriously? Kubo said that Aizen would show up but he’d be in constraints, so somehow Aizen broke out of super secure SS prison, went to HM, did nothing for a bit then killed a dude with a sword that dissolved when he went Super Saiyan times a billion.

I think it’s Gin, Gin was super popular, never confirmed dead. And for everyone who says he died, like really? Kubo has “killed” so many characters just to have them return later like no bigs. In that arc alone 90% of the Shinigami fighting cut some limb or part of themselves cut off by Aizen. Gin can open the portal by himself, go there, hang out. It’s totally Gin’s style to attack from the back and would inspire a wat moment from Urahara.

Could be Grim, don’t like Grim so I’d want it to be Gin but whichever. I really do feel like Gin makes the most sense, SS is under attack (could’ve overheard), Rangiku is there, Captain’s losing their Bankais. He’s totally got to go. Plus we have no idea if Aizen gave him any kind of powers like Tousen with hollowification.

    Guess we’ll see.

Agree, Aizen may be likely to show up, Kubo said he will be shown in constraints but it just seems that he may not be here at this point. It seems stupid some some people think it is, but you never know that it may not be Aizen, SS would have been notified if Aizen had escaped…

Hmm agree, Matsumoto never really straight forward said that he died, she just said that he has gone away from us in such a way that it could mean two things, one of which was to die, and the other was that he had escaped. Gin is also the likely suspect here….

Grimmjow is also a suspect as I mentioned before, he still isn’t confirmed dead and seems to be alive. I’m sure Gin wouldn’t want to go to such extent to become a Hollow, his plan was to betray Aizen from the start, even Aizen knew he would do such a thing… Yup we’ll see 😛

Well, Gin and Urahara weren’t friends during the Arrancar Arc, they were both enemies at the time…. Does anyone remember that Karin was seen leaving Urahara’s shop and also is known to have a high spiritual pressure for a human. Then at the beginning of the last arc Ginjo warned Ichigo of Urahara and that here is keeping things from him.

Karin makes sense to me, because she could have been receiving training from Urahara and gained soul reaper powers. Then after she found out that Urahara and Ichigo went to HM to fight she was probably mad. Then she could have had Tessai open the portal to HM. After she killed Kirge she probably was still angry with Urahara for keeping this from her, enough to put a sword to his neck.

Although, Urahara wouldn’t be shocked that Karin had followed them to HM, but by how strong she is. She seems like the type that would hide her power as to not endanger anyone. She probably be aware that if is didn’t suppress her spiritual pressure enough that a hollow could trace it back to her house and attack yuzu.

hmmmmmmmm very interesting!! I completely forgot about her! It’s very likely that it would be her. Plus looking as though she’s not fully grown up, angle of the sword could correspond to that. It could be explained by her.

Maybe she was looking for from away, until the gate got shut at the HM end, and Orihime and Chad were unconscious she would strike Kirge down from the back. Possibly because she doesn’t want them to know about her power… But who would be the suspect of giving her shinigami power? Could is be her own father, Isshin, or Urahara?

I figured that she already had soul reaper powers like Ichigo, which is how he managed to regain his soul reaper powers after his first encounter with Byakuya. I figured that they both were born with soul reaper powers from their father. Ichigo’s zanpakuto is basically the offspring of his father’s zanpakuto.

I doubt it could be Karin she would have little power since she isn’t an actual shinigami and just as a human she wouldn’t even have the experience to defeat chad or orihime and she can’t travel via garganta

Well yeah that’s true, but you have to look at the signs, it’s been 17 months! Ichigo only trained with Yoruichi most of the times, not Urahara. Urahara has a lot of knowledge about Ichigo and how he fights etc. He could have transferred Ichigo’s fighting style onto Karin and helped her to get the most out of the training by somehow accelerating the training. Plus Karin could have normally gone to the Visoreds and asked one of them to open the Garganta…. it’s logically possible…

In chapter 428, Karin tells Urahara, “From now on, it’s my turn to protect my brother.” This shows that she thinks she is strong enough to protect Ichigo. Also, it shows that she wants to get strong to protect him.

In chapter 424, Ichigo first notices that Karin’s spiritual pressure has been getting stronger.

Tōshirō Hitsugaya has mentioned that Karin has a high spiritual pressure for a human.

If Urahara already awaken Karin’s inner soul reaper powers, like he did with Ichigo. Then it isn’t like after Ichigo regained his soul reaper powers that Karin would just drop her training and forget about her soul reaper powers. Even if she would do that, I doubt that she knows about Ichigo regaining his powers. The only person that would tell her would be Urahara and he isn’t the kind of guy who would drop the ball like that.

And it seems really unlikely, that she would put her sword to Urahara’s neck. That’s more of Grimmjow’s style. Finished with what I don’t agree. I’m pretty sure it’s one of the 4 “war assets” the vadenreich spoke of. So the only trick is figuring out who those war assets actually are. One is obviously Yama, One is Ichigo, but who are the other two? Aizen is obviously powerful enough to be one, but he’s hardly an asset. I’d guess that Unohana is also one(She’s as old as yama, people in the 11th squad start sweating at the sound of her name, and we’ve never seen combat from her). So who is the last asset?

The new chapter of bleach this week reveal that Urahara drops Ichigo’s call. This could have been because Urahara didn’t want Ichigo to know who showed up and killed Kirge Opie, or he was attacked. If my previous hypothesis is correct, then this mystery person is Karin.

If Karin is the one that killed Kirge Opie and “jokingly” threaten Urahara, then Urahara wouldn’t of wanted Ichigo to know and drop the call himself. If Urahara has been training Karin, while keeping Ichigo in the dark, then he wouldn’t let him see the light, yet. Urahara’s reason for still keeping this a secret is that is would probably be very shocking. Then last then Ichigo needs is to be distracted by the shocking new intel of his baby sister and get himself killed.

I think this new clue for who the mystery friend/foe is, was huge. In my opinion, I believe this eliminate both Gin and Grimmjow. With the first possibility, that Urahara didn’t want Ichigo to know who it is, there is no reason to keep the appearance of Gin nor Grimmjow a secret. As for the second possibility, that Urahara dropped the call because he was attack, this would eliminate Karin, Gin and Grimmjow. Karin and Gin are easy to eliminate for this possibly because neither of them would actually attack Urahara. As for Grimmjow, even though I’m sure he doesn’t care about rather Urahara lives or dies, he needs Urahara alive for now. Grimmjow probably realize that Ichigo is trapped in the gargantua and there is no way that Grimmjow would let Ichigo get off easy by rotting away in the gargantua. Grimmjow would have to help get Ichigo free before he can get his rematch, that you all know he wants. Which requires Urahara reopening the gargantua for him to destory Ichigo’s prison. This completely removes the possibility that Urahara was attack, unless it was a new character.

In the end, the only reasonable possibility is that Urahara dropped the call with Ichigo to prevent him from know Karin is the mystery hero. Gin is an unreasonable possibility, because the is no reason for Urahara to hide his sudden appearance from Ichigo and that he won’t of attacked Urahara. Although, there is a chance that it is Grimmjow then it would have to be a completely unexpected reason that Urahara’s call was dropped. Because, there is know reason for Urahara to keep Grimmjow’s appearance a secret and that Grimmjow won’t attack Urahara if he ever wanted a rematch with Ichigo.

Could be that Urahara purposely did that so Ichigo wouldn’t hear who it was. I think it could have been someone who that Ichigo knows, possibly a family or friend. Karin is possible.

It’s been 17 months, I’m pretty sure that Karin would have a lot of time within to use so she could train. Hopefully it’s someone we know and thus there won’t be any time wasting with a new character. Hopefully Karin…

Somewhat agree, it could still be Grimmjow or Gin because they both could have attacked Urahara and busted the phone that Urahara had. Most of your points are fantastic, make completely sense, could go either way now, it’s up to Kubo to choose from a few characters of Karin, Gin, Grimmjow and a couple other…

You guys… firstly the mystery person is not a hero. He killed Kirge to get rid of a pest blocking his path to Urahara. It could be some remaining enemy who had a grudge for Kirge… but unlikely.

Urahara said “Oh no.” He felt threatened, not shocked. He dropped the call to Ichigo because he was nerve-wrecked himself.

As people have said, some of the above assumptions are ridiculous because Gin was an undercover and doesn’t hate Urahara. Quincies don’t use swords. Gin was stabbed by Aizen and confirmed dead (unlike what some ppl who can’t read btw the lines think.) It isn’t Nel (LAME), and isn’t Isshin or yama or Unohana (who uses kidou mostly.)

As some have noted, it is a huge slash attack. Though the possibility is high with Grimm, his sword doesn’t do that kind of damage and hit-style. His special is a hand blast/cero. His released form used more claw swipes than huge slashes. The size of that slash seems more Aizen-ish to me. Moreover, Ichigo let Grimm go; Grimm would most likely have turned over a new leaf. Urahara wouldn’t be threatened by Grimm (even in his injured state), but more like that of Aizen. The blast is comparable in magnitude and severity to the “Oh No” reaction from him as well.

The poise with which the sword was pointed at Urahara seems grand and dignified like Aizen, just like how he pointed his sword at Yamamoto during the final battle. Aizen loves pointing down at people, and getting rid of people fast with huge power. He could have escaped with Soul Society in turmoil, and even in constraints he could be powerful enough to kill Kirge.

I’m not a mindless Aizen fan. Narrowing down possibilities leaves us with only Aizen and Grimmjow, of which Aizen seems a more likely choice. Some say he has no more zanpakutou… but if this is so then Ichigo by right wouldn’t have his blade as well, not discounting the fact that others helped return his power to him.

So what warrants Urahara’s threatened “Oh no”? It is definitely a threatening villain, not a friend. Confusing stuff here, but it could all be really simple if Kubo decides to give us loopholes and give surprises that don’t match what he promised.

oh and not to mention… in the beginning one of the enemies jested about how Aizen wasn’t as powerful as others claimed… that was a strong hint that Aizen would be back. Question is, will it be this early?

I hope not! I don’t want to see him yet, there is still too much to for Kubo to reveal before Aizen comes. Hopefully he comes at the peak of the fights and surprises us from nowhere…

A grudge against Kirge? possibly because he literally took most of the Hollows in Hueco Mundo. Now Grimmjow isn’t one for playing as a team or even caring for his kind, but I think he’s grown stronger in making friends with the hollows over the 17 months.

Are you sure he said Oh no? I didn’t see that? You must be talking about the reaction oh no from his face…?

Urahara could have disconnected the call with Ichigo because he could have heard Grimmjow’s voice, which could have gotten Ichigo even more stressed about the situation. Plus Ichigo doesn’t know how strong Urahara is, so he doesn’t trust his immense power.

I’m not even sure that the prison which Aizen was held in was in Soul Society, I personally I think that it could have been some kind of another dimension which is for dark enemies only. Plus I think Aizen can easily get out of the prison, when you saw Gin take away the Hogyoku from Aizen, he could still use his power calmly, so he may possibly do that here, use the power in his own will and break out of the prison and get back to Hueco Mundo.

Why would Aizen not a have a sword? He is still a shinigami, a bad one but still a shinigami. He never lost his power, he just transcended into a new evolutionary form which surpasses Hollows and Shinigami’s, but if he goes back to his old form, he will be a shinigami again…

Agree, hopefully Kubo doesn’t troll us within the next chapter, want to see who this menace is.

Yep, the only reason of Grimm’s appearance is this, but Aizen has better stimulation 🙂

And yep, he thought “Oh no”, right in the end of th chapter.

I remind you, that Urahara doesn’t know Grimmjow that good, I don’t even think he knows that he’s dead. So I doubt he would drop call for this reason.

Oh, you’ve got too littl information. First, it was clearly said that Aizen’s kept in the last (deepest in my lang) level of SS Prison. In the “100 yrs ago” filler Urahara visited it with Hiory. Secondly, Hogyoku no more recognizes Aizen as its owner, also mentioned in 309-310, so it’s powers are closed to him. And moreover, I think someone’s already destroyed it. Aizen’s his own powers were likely sealed. And we don’t know, what happened to Kioku Soygetsu (spelling always a problem). Third, Aizen’s zampaktou has vanished and was never shown again, so we can’t say, what happened to it.

Grimmjow himself is a genius, i’m pretty sure that he knows details on each arrancar, he may also know Grimmjow by the way Ichigo may have described to him.
That’s correct, but if the Hogyoku once again did recognize him as the master, he may still have control/or gain control of it… yeah agree, but still Aizen is not a man you should talk about lightly, he could get a new power just like that… out of no where….

I think you mean Urahara when you talk about genius XD and I just remembered that he met Grimmjow already or heard of him, when fighting Yammy (the real Hulk, not that old green fullbringer). Or Ichigo could describe him. But it doesn’t proof 100%, that the killer of Kirge is Grimmjow. I still think it’s Aizen. Sorry, seems like I’m a fan of him XD

You’re really good at making forecasts 🙂 and you’re brilliantly logic everywhere except Gin and Grimmjow. I doubt Gin is alive, but if he is, he may have a reason to attack Urahara. Grimmjow has his style of impulsive decisions, so he may have put a sword to Urahara’s in case to scare or impress him.
My own opinion is still 60% Aizen, 20% Karin, 10% Grimmjow, 5% Gin and 5% any other character.

He might no want Ichigo to know who it is that attacked him and killed. I still dont think its Grimmjow. I dont see him powerful enough to kill Kirge with one strike of his sealed sword. I think its Gin. And poor Byakuya! Hes afraid of As Nodt!. And they can use the power of there stolen Bankais with the madallion! Anyone else know who the other Captains are fighting? I think Kensei is gonna fight Buzzbee. Zaraki gonna fight that huge Stern Ritter who confronts Shuuhei. And Restu is gonna fight that female Stern Ritter with her hood on.

Grimmjow has a lot of time to train in Hueco Mundo, as well as heal. He may have known that Ichigo would have gotten worried if he found out that Grimmjow is still alive.

And the fights, I think you got it right when you said “Shunsui and Joshiro are already fighting thier Stern Ritter opponents. And there was a female Stern Ritter with her hood on. And i think she’s going to fight Restu. And Buzzbee looks like he would fight Kensei. As Nodt is fighting Byakuya and Renji, Bambietta is fighting Sajin and Iba, Nanana is fighting Rose. Toshiro and Rangiku are fighting a male Stern Ritter with his hood on and a scar on his face. Soifon and Omeida are fighting a Stern Ritter who looks like a mid evil knight.” here: https://dailyanimeart.com/2012/02/12/spoiler-the-thousand-year-blood-war-final-arc/#comment-2601 🙂

Karin has always had a large amount of a spiritual energy, that’s why she’s able to see ghosts and such. Even more then that of Chad and Orihime as she was able to see ghosts before them… My guess is when Ichigo was all depressed Karin would have gone to Urahara to train so she could protect Ichigo when Ichigo was protecting her during the other times.

Lool, he’s one of the main characters, at best he would have got a scar or even lost a arm like Yamamoto. Very unlikely for a main character to die just like that…

Its true that after Aizen’s death, Bleach lost some serious fans, and the Fullbring arc wasnt the best ever, but still it did pick up some good points about the combat past and Isshins past. But I’m guessing Bleach’s Final Arc will be epic! It will be better then any other….!

If the battle in SS takes lot of time, we can see Aizen (if it’s Aizen) appear in about 520, not earlier. Maybe that’s the time you expect him to appear?

Hmm I’d say that the person facing Urahara now will be revealed in around 2 to 3 chapters. Kubo isnt a person to show the same thing over and over, so he’s unlikely to keep showing the fights in SS for 19 more chapters… But he could show some background info on the Vandenreich like thier home base or show other people within Hueco Mundo or even the Vizards

He probably went with them to find out about the Vandenreich. He, Isshin, Yuroichi, and Tessai already know about the invasion. All Captions know Bankai through all history of the Gotei 13. Zaraki was the only one that never achived it.

I’m thinking the most likely suspect is Grimmjow, but I’m hoping it’s Ashido Kano, the Soul Reaper they left behind the last time they were in Hueco Mundo. I’m hoping he takes over as the new 1st Division Lieutenant.

I’ve had a think, and come up with a new suspect, plus a list of those who it probably ain’t.
Can’t be Halibel, her sword looks completely different. Can’t (sadly) be Ashido, he never appeared in the manga, only in the anime. Aizen’s in prison. Gin is dead and buried.
Aside from Grimmjow who’s still número uno suspect, there are 2 possibilities IMO. Firstly, Stark. We never see him die and it’s quite possible he’s alive, he just doesn’t want to be in charge of Hueco Mundo, lets Halibel get on with it. It could also be Tsukishima. Either one would make Urahara sweat.

There’s no reason why it cannot be Ashido, the reason why he could have not appeared in the manga could have been due to the timing or what ever, he must have been planned to enter later on.. Halibel is also captured so cannot be her..

IT’S ULQUIORRA BITCHES >< I would think that's awesome but the one thing that doesn't make sense is why Nel is in this Arc she obviously isn't going to be any use OH SNAP I KNOW WHERE THIS IS GOING I Bet that Nels Going to be Loosing in her adult form and then NNoitra is going to appear out of nowhere save her ass and kick whoever was beating her badassly in base THAT WOULD BE EPIC oh and the reason I think NNoi is alive is because Nel is and Nel can't exist without NNoi and NNoi can't exist without Nel so yeah He's comin back SO BACK TO THE TOPIC. It can't be Grimmjow because his arm and Hakama have been spotted where Chad and Inoue are so yeah and the sword greatly resembles no it's so close it can't even be called resembles anymore so IT LOOKS EXACTLY like Mucialago and in interviews when someone asked him if gin is dead He quickly said yes But with Ulquiorra he acts so mysterious and said something that had to do with Ulquiorra You will be surprised AND it had Something to do with his death ^^ Oh it's also been revealed by Kubo that Resserection 2 Ulquiorra is stronger than BASE. Aizenand we all saw how Base Aizen fucked Barragan up so … There goes the Theory that Ulquiorra can only beat Harribel
