Personally the King of Vandenreich (left, name unknown) and Genryusai Shigekuni Yamamoto (right) seems to be related somehow. Within the latest Bleach 489, we find out that Yamamoto failed to kill the King a Thousand Years ago. It’s now obvious that the “The Thousand-Year Blood War” links into the war between the Quincy and Shinigami’s a Thousand Year Ago.

The reason why I think that the King is Yamamoto’s Son is because when Mayuri had mentioned Yamamoto not killing the King, Yamamoto had gotten somewhat pissed by the expression his face. As well as that, you can clearly see in the image above that both of them have similarities in look, such as the shape of their nose. Their eyes not being large and similar. Their lips look very similar and the excessive hair on their face would support them being related.

Furthermore, the fact that he’s the oldest captain in the Gotei 13 could suggest that he had gotten busy more than a thousand years ago which brought the birth of his child. The King also looks a lot younger than Yamamoto which could support this idea.
